A band of rain pushes northwards, moving across central southern England into Wales and the Midlands where some wet snow may develop over high ground. Some drier, clearer skies further north with more cloud developing over Northern Ireland and north-eastern England. Another band of rain moves across southwest England towards the north east through the morning. As the day progresses, the band of rain further south breaks up into more showery precipitation as it moves northwards with the risk of thunder and hail. While further north, the rain band moves across central and southern Scotland, as well as Northern Ireland through the afternoon.– This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the morning of 28/03/24.
