00:00 Hello, good morning. It's a bit of a wet start for some of us but it will get that much drier
00:04 through today so there will be a bit of respite from the wet weather we've had recently. But
00:08 through the next few hours, some heavy bursts of rain to come across the south coast. This
00:13 could bring some travel disruption. Elsewhere though, although it is a fairly cloudy start,
00:17 there will be much more in the way of dry weather, particularly across the northeast
00:21 where it's been a fairly miserable few days. We've still got cold air in situ here but
00:26 the winds are much lighter so it's going to start to feel a little bit warmer than it
00:29 has done lately here. In the south, across many areas of Wales and England, we'll see
00:34 a mix of sunshine and showers. The showers will be well scattered so there will be a
00:39 decent amount of sunshine in between those showers and it will feel fairly mild for the
00:43 time of year in those sunny spells. Through this evening though, across the south west,
00:48 that's when the next batch of rain will arrive so it's going to be another wet end of the
00:51 day in these areas. This rain is going to push north and eastwards through the day.
00:55 We could see some quite gusty and blustery spells of rain up through the Irish sea coasts
01:01 throughout Thursday night and as that rain moves in and bumps into that cold air across
01:05 Scotland, we're likely to see some snow over the Grampians and the Highlands. That could
01:09 affect some roads here but in general it's going to turn considerably milder through
01:15 Friday. So once that rain does clear through, you'll be into the mild air. So some areas
01:19 across the south will be starting the day across at 11 or 12 degrees which is closer
01:24 to the daytime average for this time of year. But it's going to be a blustery day and across
01:28 many northern areas it will remain, particularly across the north west, it will remain quite
01:32 wet through the day, some quite heavy bursts of rain. Across England and Wales, north eastern
01:37 areas of England and south eastern Scotland, we could see quite a lot in the way of dry
01:41 weather though. The best of the sunshine will be across the south east on Friday afternoon
01:46 and in that sunshine it's going to be feeling very warm indeed. Highs of 17, 18, possibly
01:50 even 19 degrees. So despite these strong gusty winds, it's going to be feeling much milder
01:56 than it has done lately. That mild air will push further north into parts of Scotland
02:00 so it will be a warm weekend but it's going to turn unseasonably windy. So keep up to
