00:00 Good morning. It's going to be another fairly cool day and there will be little in the way
00:05 of sunshine around, but it should stay dry for most of us. Now, it's a fairly bright
00:09 but quite cold start for many areas of the UK this morning. There will be quite a lot
00:14 more cloud though bubbling up as we head towards lunchtime and a few showers will start to
00:18 break out, particularly across coastal areas, across eastern areas. They will be fairly
00:22 light, but we could see a few snow flurries over the high ground in Scotland. Now, across
00:27 southern areas, cloud will start to thicken as we head into the afternoon and this band
00:31 of showery rain will start to arrive from the south. Now, this brings the risk of some
00:35 quite heavy downpours into this evening across southern areas. With little in the way of
00:39 sunshine and a fairly chilly start today, it's going to be another quite cool day. Temperatures
00:44 are below average across the board, just highs of 10 or 11 degrees, which should be closer
00:50 to about 14 or 15 degrees for most areas by this time of the year. Throughout this evening,
00:55 the cloud should melt away and it will turn much clearer and drier through the night for
01:00 many northern areas, so much of Northern Ireland, Northern England and Scotland will see another
01:05 clear and dry night. Across the south, though, it will turn much cloudier as this band of
01:10 showery rain continues to push northwards throughout this evening. It will bring quite
01:14 a lot of cloud ahead of it for much of Wales and the Midlands and showery outbreaks of
01:18 rain for many southern counties through the night. But it will turn a bit milder underneath
01:22 this cloud and rain. So it's going to be a milder night across central and southern areas,
01:26 but across the north, another cold night. We could see another frost developing lows
01:31 as low as minus four or five degrees once again for parts of Scotland by Saturday morning.
01:37 So a bright but colder start in the north, cloudier and wetter across southern areas.
01:42 And it will stay fairly bright for northern areas through much of Saturday. And I think
01:46 most areas should stay dry, particularly across the north and west. But it will turn a bit
01:50 cloudier throughout the day and still it's going to still feel fairly cool. But the winds
01:54 are quite light. So if you are in the sheltered sunshine, it certainly won't feel too bad
01:58 in the Midlands, though this area of cloud will continue to persist through the day.
02:02 Some showery outbreaks of rain. The rain is not going to be quite as persistent in these
02:05 areas into the afternoon, but there will still be quite a lot of cloud around and it will
02:09 feel fairly cool. Now, in the south where we see some sunshine breaking out, we could
02:13 see some heavier showers. But in that sunshine, it's going to start to feel quite warm. Temperatures
02:18 rising much closer to average highs of 14, possibly 15 degrees across the south by Saturday
02:23 afternoon. Now, through Saturday night, we see a more persistent area of rain arrive
02:29 from the south that will affect eastern areas throughout Sunday. So it's more persistent
02:34 rain to come for these areas. But you can find plenty more details on your weekend forecast
02:38 on YouTube. Bye bye.
