02:46 1 cup whole white urad dal
02:53 You can also take urad dal instead

03:06 1 cup sugar
03:08 We will wash all the 3 ingredients well with water
03:17 And we will wash all the 3 ingredients well and soak them for 8 hours
03:33 8 hours have passed, our whole white urad dal is soaked well
03:38 Similarly, rice and Banyar millet are also soaked well
03:46 Now we will grind all 3 ingredients in a blender
03:50 We will make a smooth paste
03:52 We have grinded Banyar millet, rice and whole white urad dal in a blender

04:04 We have grinded the paste, now we will add 1/2 tsp salt
04:13 We will cover it and keep it to ferment for 6 to 8 hours
04:24 6 hours have passed, we will remove the lid

05:09 1 inch ginger, crushed
05:14 2 onions, finely chopped
05:25 We will saute the onions
05:27 Once the onions are sauteed, we will add salt
05:34 1/2 tsp turmeric
05:39 1 finely chopped capsicum
05:53 Capsicum is optional
05:55 1 carrot, grated, is also optional
06:01 You can make it with only onions
06:03 Now we will add 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander
06:22 All the veggies are fried, we will turn off the gas
06:25 We will add 1/4 tsp baking soda in the batter
06:31 This is optional, if you don't want to add it, you can skip it
06:38 Our veggies have cooled down, we will add them in the batter
06:45 We will mix it
06:50 We will add water in the batter, if you feel the batter is thick, you can add water in it
06:54 This is a non-stick pan
07:14 We will spread the oil with the help of a brush
07:16 We will add some oil on top of the batter, to cover it

07:38 We have fried the appes, flipping them on both sides
07:49 We will take it out in a plate
07:53 We will make all the appes in the same way
