00:09 At around 10am on Saturday, police officers were called to King Street in Belper following reports of an assault.

00:27 Darren Lakin, aged 30, of Bridge Street in Belper, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm,
00:34 assault, criminal damage and theft.
00:36 He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court today.
00:40 A victim who has been injured during the incident has now been discharged from hospital and is being supported by officers.
00:46 Police have asked that anyone with information relating to the event should get in touch with them.
