00:00What's the matter, Romeo?
00:02The past few years have been the hardest,
00:05most complicated that we have yet to experience.
00:08Breaking news right now, we're learning more
00:10about a deadly accident on a movie set in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
00:14Baldwin is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge.
00:17Mr. Baldwin, would you like to say anything, Mr. Eager?
00:20I prayed and prayed about this until I was gonna pass out.
00:24Your motion to dismiss with prejudice is granted.
00:30Where do you go from a tragedy?
00:36We made it home, we made it home.
00:38These kids, they put up with a lot.
00:41We're going through some very stressful things,
00:43and we're trying to parent through it.
00:45All we can do is do our best and try to make our kids happy.
00:50We have a lot of decisions we have to make before we go back to the city.
00:54I do not want to go back to the life I have, I don't.
00:56I don't care.
00:57Your priorities are shifting.
00:59Like, I mean, you have a lot of individuals that...
01:01I'm counting on us.
01:02The two of you together.
01:03I've seen you on so many different sets,
01:05from 30 Rock to different movies that you've done to SNL.
01:08One of my hopes for you is that you can feel okay loving acting.
01:12At some point, you expect to get back to acting though, right?
01:17Last day of camp today?
01:27Oh my God!
01:28You want to go in your camp?
01:30And then what?
01:31You're going to go to school soon.
01:32Do you remember what kind of backpack you have?
01:35A poo-poo.
01:36A poo-poo.
01:37A poo backpack!
01:38I bet you they make that.
01:39We could probably get that one.
01:41Where are the keys?
01:42I have the keys somewhere.
01:44This is the last day of camp.
01:45I can only say one thing about you.
01:46It was a very interesting summer.
01:47How do you hope that they remember it?
01:48Oh, that it was an interesting summer.
01:49That they had a good time.
01:50They did.
01:51They had their summer.
01:52You took my snack.
01:53We are a big family who's been through a lot of things.
01:54My snack!
01:55My snack!
01:56My snack!
01:57My snack!
01:58How about we give her that bag and we go get you a new bag?
02:00Okay.
02:01I'll go get you a new bag.
02:02And so it's interesting to come to this point that you've been able to get me back.
02:03This is the last day of camp.
02:04You can only say one thing about you.
02:05It was a very interesting summer.
02:06It was a very interesting summer.
02:07How do you hope that they remember it?
02:08That it was an interesting summer.
02:09That it was an interesting summer.
02:10That they had a good time.
02:12They had their summer.
02:13You took my snack.
02:14We are a big family who's been through a lot of things.
02:18My snack!
02:19My snack!
02:20My snack!
02:21My snack!
02:22to come to this point where the future
02:26is going to allow us to make more choices,
02:28whereas we haven't had the ability
02:29to make many choices over the past few years.
02:32And hopefully, that means we can just live a little more free.
02:36What happened to your hair, man?
02:38Your hair's like a wing.
02:39You're like a flock of seagulls.
02:41Are you excited to go to camp today?
02:42Mm-hmm.
02:45I'm not going to camp.
02:47Where are you going then?
02:48I'm not going nowhere.
02:50All of our kids have such strong personalities.
02:52And with this many kids, sometimes they
02:54are going to dig their heels in.
02:56Sometimes they are going to yell.
02:58Let me help you.
02:59And sometimes they are going to melt down.
03:01I don't know what.
03:02I'm going to go on my couch.
03:04You don't take it personally.
03:05For me, I'd sometimes just turn off my brain a little bit.
03:07Not to the point where I'm not present,
03:09but I'm just going to lower my imaginary volume button.
03:12I'm not going to camp.
03:14Get in the car, smooshy.
03:16So we're off to New York.
03:18Who knows what's the right thing to do
03:20when we go back to the city?
03:22Like, you're going to go back to work,
03:23and you want to do this, you want to do that.
03:24I'm kind of like, I don't know.
03:26I don't really know.
03:27Lulu, seatbelt on, please.
03:28OK.
03:29Lulu, I'm not going to camp.
03:34Swell.
03:35You're going to get down there and do some yoga?
03:37So I'm going to tell you that doing, watching somebody else do yoga is, like,
03:47Is my favorite thing.
03:48Is literally not the same as doing yoga.
03:50You've had two hips that were fixed, and you didn't do enough physical therapy.
03:54So, when I stop having to put your socks on in the morning.
03:58I do my socks on myself.
03:59No, you don't.
04:00You want to know what?
04:01Because there's no socks, because it's summertime, and there's no socks in the summertime.
04:04But come fall, when your feet start getting cold again, flexibility is one of the most
04:08important things for health, for the aging.
04:11You see somebody who's flexible, who's older.
04:12You get ready.
04:13You get ready.
04:14When you're my age, we'll talk.
04:15I'll be gone, by the way.
04:16Can I tell you?
04:17Our trauma is our sadness in your hips.
04:18This summer, we've lived with tremendous anxiety, tremendous stress.
04:24And I know that if I run, exercise, do yoga every day, I can be pretty centered and focused.
04:33And if I don't, I feel like I'm in a cloud and everything feels very loud.
04:37My entire life, I've learned that this is something that stabilizes me.
04:43I know that if I take, it could just be 30 minutes a day to move my body, I'm going to
04:50be a better mom, I'm going to be a better spouse.
04:53And then, as a yoga teacher, I want to share.
04:57I like coming and working out, being a little bit more active, can only help.
05:02He's taken, like, exercise, a couple yoga classes with me over the past 13 years.
05:07Um, not his thing.
05:08We tried to run together a few times.
05:10It's just not his thing.
05:11Let's see how much you know from being married to me for so many years.
05:13Child's pose.
05:14Child's pose.
05:15Okay.
05:16And it's not just the age difference.
05:17It's just that he's a theater kid.
05:20And I'm a jock.
05:22And that's it.
05:23The question is, can you bring your hips more towards your heels?
05:25Ah, not really.
05:26I know.
05:27So relax your face.
05:28Does it hurt if I sit on you?
05:29Oh, God.
05:30Because you do definitely hold trauma up here in your shoulders.
05:33You...
05:34Well, where do I have trauma?
05:35The last of my shoulders, which is it?
05:36Are you feeling it in both?
05:37Yes.
05:38There it is.
05:39Definitely trauma's right there.
05:40What I've been dealing with over the last couple of years, it really, really negatively
05:44affected my health.
05:45And I wasn't like that.
05:46No matter what I had, my hip hurt.
05:48This hurt.
05:49I had energy.
05:50And now, this sucked a lot of the energy out of me.
05:52And so, a year from now, I want to be...
05:55I want to have put a lot of focus on my health and have that be very different.
06:00Okay.
06:01I want you to try to sit up.
06:03Okay.
06:04Have faith in you.
06:05I think I'm gonna throw up.
06:07You're not gonna throw up.
06:09Come up.
06:10Now, I'm taking my knees where you can feel my knees.
06:13In my ass.
06:14In your butt.
06:15Oh!
06:16Your knee in my ass feels kind of good.
06:20It's nothing better than a butt massage.
06:21Oh!
06:22The cats are touching my pillows.
06:24The cats do their own yoga.
06:25Now, you teach me yoga.
06:27Okay.
06:28Now.
06:29But don't put...
06:30Don't you dare put all your weight, because you will break me.
06:32I won't.
06:33Okay.
06:34So, let's just...
06:35Yes.
06:36Does you feel that?
06:37Do you feel that?
06:38I'm gonna kill you.
06:39Do you feel that?
06:40Do you feel that?
06:41Okay.
06:42Get out of here.
06:43Your ass.
06:44I do feel that.
06:45Yep.
06:46Don't fold your blankets.
06:47Let's sit and talk about something.
06:48I want...
06:49Can we talk about something seriously?
06:50Sit down.
06:51Wait, can I sit?
06:52Can I do this?
06:53So that you can get...
06:54Rub your feet?
06:55So, I played sports, and I was athletic, and I was trimmer, and fitter, and stronger,
06:59and everything, until I was about 40.
07:01And then I got to be 40, and slowly, I worked a lot.
07:04I had a kid.
07:05You know, it just...
07:06My life changed a little bit.
07:07And so, to be married to somebody who's as physically fit as you, as I'm kind of, like,
07:13slipping.
07:14You know what I mean?
07:15Like, my strengths and my coordination, things like that.
07:17It is bizarre.
07:18People who say that age doesn't matter, that's, like, the stupidest thing to say, because,
07:22of course, it matters.
07:23You just get older.
07:24You don't really...
07:25What can you do about it?
07:26There's no button you can press to go backwards.
07:28If I go out into the world and try to get a job acting, you've got to be aware of it.
07:32And I just want to, you know, get healthy.
07:35I'll never forget we did Woody's movie, Blue Jasmine.
07:38And he goes, you know, I thought, you know, your character is a, sort of a ladies' man,
07:44so I'd like you to lose weight.
07:46And I did.
07:47Remember that?
07:48Remember when I did the movie?
07:49Oh, my God.
07:50It was weight because of Woody.
07:51Well, hold on.
07:52Well, I'm going to just tell my...
07:54This is my Woody story.
07:55I didn't have no pasta, no potatoes, no candy, no sugar.
07:59And I lost probably 25 pounds.
08:02And you look at me in that movie.
08:03More.
08:0430.
08:05I think I lost 30.
08:0640 pounds.
08:07Oh, I thought I lost 30, but I don't want to brag.
08:08You see me in the movie and I look trim, comparatively speaking.
08:11But I did have the barbecue sauce in my hair, right?
08:13I dyed my hair.
08:14I like him better, salt and pepper.
08:15I dyed my hair.
08:16But I thought to myself, the guy would dye his hair, so I did that.
08:18No, you used to dye your hair because you liked it.
08:20And you were dating a 27-year-old yoga instructor.
08:23Yeah, that's why I did it.
08:24And you did dye...
08:25Literally.
08:26And that's why you lost weight.
08:27I've seen a difference in you in the past weeks, right?
08:31Yes.
08:32And I'm seeing there's something lighter in you.
08:35I'm seeing you more at the gym.
08:37I'm seeing you more calmer.
08:39You've had fun this summer, but it took a second.
08:41I mean, it's going to take us a really long time to let this sink in
08:45and learn how to live again.
08:47You know, we lived for so long with this tremendous amount of stress
08:51and unknowing and just confusion.
08:53And so when we get home, we can learn what the new normal is
08:57and then to realize that we can make choices
08:59that perhaps are healthier choices for both of us.
09:01Yeah.
09:02When is Shavasana?
09:04Shavasana is not yet, my friend.
09:06All these things that you guys are learning at camp, just stop.
09:19Not camp, YouTube.
09:20YouTube, yeah. YouTube is like...
09:21YouTube shorts.
09:22I mean, I started watching PG-13 things by the time I was like six.
09:28Wait, what about Borehat?
09:29You have not seen Borehat.
09:31Yeah.
09:32And it was all dad's idea.
09:36Dad lets us watch movies all night.
09:39I think part of the thing is having an actor for a dad or a parent.
09:45Alec and I are very different parents.
09:47I'll walk in and they're watching a movie and I freak out.
09:51And I say, this is not okay.
09:54And they look at me and they're like,
09:55Mom, I've already watched it three times.
09:57I'm like...
09:59Don't do that!
10:00So do you guys think that you guys are going to be all messed up
10:02because daddy lets you watch these things?
10:04Kind of.
10:05Oh my God.
10:07Hi.
10:08Hiya, what's up?
10:09Hey, you showed the kids Borehat?
10:12I know they can't unsee it.
10:14I know they can't unsee it.
10:15But can you stop showing them things?
10:17Okay, I appreciate that it's funny,
10:19but you know what else would be funny when they're like 15?
10:21It'd be funny.
10:22It'd be funny.
10:23All right, bye.
10:25My dad, he would probably show us any movie.
10:29I watched Ork and Moms when I was like nine.
10:32I watched Insatiable when I was like six.
10:35Your dad showed you Borehat, right?
10:37Yeah.
10:38My dad lets me watch anything, basically.
10:40For some reason, my mom says no orange is the new black,
10:44but I watched worse.
10:45She just doesn't know that.
10:47Dad showed me Borehat for the first time when I was like five.
10:50Oh my God.
10:51By the way, I want my birthday to maybe be cloud themed.
10:54Okay, cotton candy, I love this.
10:56Cotton candy.
10:57I'm joking.
10:58And they'll sing Rain Rain Go Away or some like some cloud theme song.
11:01It'll be great.
11:02I'm seeing it.
11:03It's all coming together.
11:04In a few days.
11:05It's Carmen's birthday.
11:06She's going to be 11.
11:08Maybe like a little happy birthday as well.
11:11Yeah.
11:12And she's just such a solid, like, soul.
11:17The past years have been challenging, especially for Carmen, who was the most aware of what was going on.
11:24I'm very excited to celebrate this day with her.
11:27Are you going to invite other people too?
11:29Yeah.
11:30Or just the boys?
11:31Fleur's going to be there.
11:32Um, who else?
11:33Carmen.
11:34Carmen.
11:35Carmen.
11:36You even have more hair flips.
11:37You're not too bad.
11:38She's talking about her birthday.
11:39One more hair flip.
11:40Hair flip.
11:41Hair flip.
11:42Hair flip.
11:43Oh, I don't know.
11:44What was your favorite part of summer?
11:47It's going to happen later.
11:49It's my birthday.
11:50Because I love and hate my birthday at the same time.
11:52I hate my birthday because it means it's closer to school.
11:55My least favorite day of the year, though, is September 5th, the day school starts.
12:00And then my other least favorite one is December 26th, because they're after, like, Christmas.
12:06You're going to have cake.
12:07What kind of cake should you have?
12:08Chocolate.
12:09Chocolate and chocolate?
12:10I want to eat it.
12:11And you're going to eat it?
12:12Yeah, and you couldn't get balloons.
12:14Balloons.
12:15We've had a great 11 years.
12:17We've had some bad moments, but through it all, we found happiness.
12:22I just hope, as we head back to the city, things can be more calm.
12:26How do you think she's going to be when she starts school?
12:29Can I visit you in your classroom every day?
12:31Yeah.
12:32I want to say hi to all your fake friends.
12:34They're not fake.
12:35No, Carmen.
12:36Don't teach her that.
12:37Come here, bitch.
12:40Bitch.
12:41Bitch.
12:45Carmen, you're trying to be funny, but she thinks it's mean, because it's kind of mean.
12:47It's not mean.
12:48You are being mean.
12:49I'm so awesome.
12:50Carmen, stop.
12:51Oh, girl, bye.
12:52Oh, Carmen, stop.
12:53I'm going to go put you in baby time out.
12:55Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
12:56Who caught that?
12:57Who caught that?
12:58What?
12:59Neil said he and Diane would love to grab coffee with you.
13:001130-ish works great for them, and they're happy to go anywhere downtown.
13:14I realize what I miss is acting.
13:15I want to go and work, but not unless it's really worth it.
13:17Like, the things that are fresh and new and challenging and interesting.
13:18I want to go deeper into the work.
13:19And scripts that allow you to go deeper in film intelligence are few and far between today.
13:20It's a journey for me.
13:21This is a process.
13:22Got a lot of accomplishment.
13:23I talked to the producers.
13:24Having a nice competition.
13:25It's great.
13:26Alec has been offered a few movies, and he's very excited to the work and there's
13:27a lot of a lot of people that are involved in the work that a lot of them and artists
13:30are full of things.
13:31How do we do it?
13:32How do I see the work that works?
13:33How do we do it?
13:34How do we do it?
13:35How do we do it?
13:36How do we do it?
13:37How do we do it?
13:38How do we do it?
13:39How do we do it?
13:40How do we do it?
13:41All right.
13:42We can't go and do it, and work, and work, and work.
13:43All right.
13:44And I think that's all about a moment.
13:45And they're incrediblyлив.
13:46And they're really exciting to come.
13:52about them even when he has his moments of like i don't know if i should go back and understandably
13:58so i do not want to go back to the life i had i don't you're an actor right i used to be not
14:03anymore yeah not anymore that's one thing you have to understand about alec he feels like this
14:08in each moment for me what am i going to do that works one of my hopes for you is that you can
14:13embrace and feel okay with loving acting it's so easier to to reject something first but then
14:21you're also rejecting something in yourself that really loves to do it sometimes we feel things
14:25in the moment and sometimes it's because we feel rejected and we want to be like okay i'm going to
14:30go back over here we're afraid to be rejected again so i'm going to protect myself where's his office
14:35what i'll do is i'll try to build a couple things in that area if i can summer is ending the timing
14:40is right so i'm happy for him because he's such a creative and he loves to act you know he can't
14:45even help it that was uh that was everything thank you that's great soon we'll be back in new york and

15:24say everybody in the same way i hate school um i just have to work but school loves you we pay money
15:29to torture me do you realize they give me homework when home is supposed to be my relaxation i get
15:35homework i just i don't want to go to school i wish it wasn't the law because it's just so bad

16:01how do you feel about summer coming to a close and you're going to go back to the city and you
16:19will now have six kids starting school um well as long as you sit down and take a deep breath which
16:27i have to do and say it's inevitable dad look good you can do anything you have to sit down
16:35regularly if you're me who's a control freak to the nth degree and sit there and go this is it

17:24the button and you can see all these guys are going the kid hit the button the kid hit the button
17:28like boom

18:41going out and being out there in the water is one of his happy places he feels free and he loves it so
18:50much he goes out there and he breathes the sea air and he can go out there and nobody's there to
18:56recognize him nobody's there to treat him different better or for worse he can just go out
19:02there and be you sit over here all right this goes in here this goes in here i'm gonna put the
19:09fan on hold on one second no no no not that yet not yet yet you're gonna blind me and i gotta get

19:53that means the propeller's coming up out of the water we have a few more days here and we are a
19:57family we spend a lot of time together but it's nice for alec and i to have a little fun for
20:01ourselves and spend time together at the end of the summer when i met you i'm like okay my boyfriend
20:08has this house out here and my boyfriend has a boat god i wish i was your boyfriend you were my
20:16boyfriend i wish i was your boyfriend again okay all of that then you bring me out on a boat i don't
20:21have that much experience with boats and you get stuck a lot in the sand for those who do not have
20:30a boat there's something called sea toe which is kind of like triple a for your boat and it's gonna
20:37take a while we have no kids we first started we're just starting to date alec gets some ideas
20:43he's like it's gonna take a long time ilaria is most smoking hot woman in the world and one
20:48thing leads to another and we're on the floor of the boat i mean who can blame me we're laying down
20:54on the floor of the boat we're stargazing except it's bright daylight we're stargate we're rehearsing
21:00our stargazing and see toes said oh maybe about 45 to an hour and sure enough 15 20 minutes goes by
21:06and it's like bam bam bam they have a horn they blow and we're like we have to stop and i was like
21:15i'm just gonna stay pinned to the ground like this i don't know what to say i don't know what to say
21:22but it was fun it was fun it was fun i'll never forget a famous actress who i knew it was kathleen

21:33for you do you want to meet somebody and have a uh get married again or have a relationship and she
21:37said oh no baby she said i love nothing more than putting my key in the door in my apartment to know
21:42me that there's nobody on the other side of that door just me i don't want to live that way when i
21:49open the door i know what's on the other side of the door and that's what i want that's what i want
21:53i want to see her i want what we have i see this where there's a little marker there this is the ski
21:59pad and we've skied here before oh it's fun no not me not you literally my other girl my other
22:05i've never got my age-appropriate girlfriend it must have been another girl sunset beach it must have
22:10been well that's the fascinating thing once you're with somebody for a long time i think especially if
22:14you have a family is you start to think that that person was always there you're like this is what we
22:18do you're always together we went to the prom together you're a fetus gross
22:24i was i was an idea i wasn't even a concept i wasn't i wasn't even that that's how big our age
22:32difference is i don't know when did you go to the prom prom was in 76 okay 76 yeah i was still
22:42your parents were in school eight years away your parents were in college especially after everything
22:48we've been through like being able to look at alec and say hey we are always together in soul in spirit
22:58and we enjoy each other and i'm hoping that through this challenging time i'm hoping that that strength
23:08will propel him on where he can get very very serious about how does he want to live this next
23:15chapter in his life what kinds of jobs will fulfill his soul and we're good we're gonna get that proper
23:23better than war don't choke me while i'm driving the boat save that for later

28:09on this summer around alec how did you protect your kids and create a normal summer for them
28:16we tried to keep them in somewhat of a bubble as much of a bubble as we could create but as we prepare
28:21to go back to the city i'm starting to wonder if that's where we belong and i want to try to protect
28:27everybody is that vermont is that here is it new york i i don't know where we belong
28:44thank you this is gorgeous yes i agree nice to have you both here
28:48you two enjoy dinner thank you look at how beautiful this is i know we have to come here
28:56all the time now i love i love this i'll never forget this summer it's been very very tough but
29:02we were together wow and now that this is over i'm like i'm ready for us to go and live and to really
29:08just uh do whatever we want to do what are you excited for about new york
29:16pasta cantonori hill cantonori we eat out all the time and i think it's one of the amazing things
29:24that's allowed us to stay very strong through so many years and so many experiences cheers
29:32being able to share a meal with each other and talking and connecting it's been a weird summer hasn't
29:37it has been i mean just like take a minute to reflect on like what this past summer has been
29:41we didn't know which was up and down and left and right we had that crazy week and then we come back
29:52we're done
29:56now we are a month away and i don't know about you but i feel much more settled and stronger
30:01i feel like i can think clearer i think it's going to take me a while it'll take me a wildness
30:08to get out of my system all this last year i was really really down i just completely ran out of
30:15energy i mean i'm 66 years old and we went down there and had the trial it was over it was like
30:21i want to go to bed for a month but you can't press pause there's no pause button in life there's no
30:26reverse button it only goes forward this is it they're all going to go to school they're all
30:30going to grow up and it's such a privilege to see these kids grow up this way the job is to know that
30:38and know that it's ephemeral don't let that stop you from investing more and more and deeper and deeper
30:47i don't want to go backwards i only want to go forward i only want to lean into the positivity i only
30:51want to lean into opportunity because there's so many people out there who want good there are so
30:56many good people out there are there yes there are no and that's where we can't let these people
31:02distort the reality and the reality is there are more good people than not are you a good person
31:10do you know if i'm a good person why are you asking me that so you give me the rest of that
31:13bread if you're a good person no i'm not a good person this is my bread ah i think he's doing better
31:21i see every single day he is less heavy when he wakes up in the morning that doesn't mean that he's
31:29the alec before all of this happened but i think he's starting to get there which makes me happy
31:37that's what i hope for him considering everything we had a good summer and the kids are win one piece
31:43nobody broke their arm this year so far don't jinx it don't say that
31:50carmen i have 18 messages from her oh no and they're all like this is important
31:55what oh my god i have no idea what she's talking about carmen estamos filmando look hello with
32:11carmen it's almost impossible to have a conversation without getting interrupted
32:15the veil are you okay are you okay why are you not in my messages why is carmen took facetiming me
32:21carmen does this all the time but it still gives me a heart attack are you okay yeah look
32:27at my messages that i just sent you girl bye okay girl bye when you're 10 11 years old everything
32:33is very very serious that's like the quintessential thing about having kids you're like having
32:38like a deep conversation and they're like it's an emergency i'm like is there really an emergency
32:43let's talk about something positive we're having like exciting things coming up you're going off
32:50and you're going to do snl good times work was always interesting because it's novel work it's very
32:58unique a lot of people who want to do this and not a lot of them get to do it it goes back to like
33:02you know the first big movie i did that i had a leading role on for red october sean connery he was
33:08the ultimate professional actor i've ever worked with in my life there's others who was good tony
33:12and people like that but connery he walked in the room everybody got ready but he was talking
33:18stopped talking and literally everybody was like attention it's amazing i was very lucky that's you
33:26now and i know you're gonna say oh no no yeah see i know you oh no no no but for other people
33:32that's what you are they look at you and they say he is the great one i know i'm not gonna you know
33:36what i'll think it and i won't say it i see you when you're with other actors or you know you're
33:43it's a side of you it's a side of you you're with you're with your your friends at snl right but you're
33:47with it and it it lights up i admire them i like them i think you're also somebody that you thrive off
33:52of sharing energy with people and so in the theater you really can feel the audience you know you love
33:58connection with people well do company said on on this podcast i did it's about like sports why i love
34:03sports is why i love acting era it's a team now i got seven kids that's the movie i met can i tell
34:10you something you can be excited about parenting and you can still be excited about those things
34:16i've been on a lot of sets with you and you know what you don't have to admit it but i as your wife
34:22i go to set with you and i see how excited you are and that makes me happy i'm lucky i met you
34:28what's engraved in your rings again we're a good team welcome to daddy we would say that in my family
34:37when i was growing up so it was always this saying and it felt meaningful to put it there and invite him
34:43into the buen equipo that is my family and now we say somos el mejor equipo we're the best team
35:13being back in new york makes me so happy because i love a routine
35:33i am elated to be back in the city elated because this is where we live this is home we don't live
35:38out there we live in the city now living in the city with the kids is challenging why do you keep
35:42you keep blowing bubbles and getting gum here for the first time i have six kids in school but
35:58as hectic and crazy as life is right now i think it's amazing that they get to go off and have their
36:04day and learn things and live their lives and go for it you so do you decide to wear them this one
36:10yeah i guess do they still fit you are you sure yeah question every day what are we waiting for
36:22same answer carmen this is what we call the carmen hour we're in the car at 8.05 we make it
36:28if we're one minute late we don't make it up they close the door on us every day and every day we're
36:34three minutes late because of carmen because carmen's like
36:47get in the car carmen get in the car can we go now
36:51we're going to be late anyway you want to take her upstairs
37:00okay wait what happened to the water the kids are off to a really great
37:04year they're doing their homework they've got their friends there's everything is really
37:09in a very good place school-wise so carmen what's your what are you excited most about for school today

37:22trying to keep everything together for my family when the tragedy happened i realized that i really
37:30had to be the rock in our home and so i hope that after holding everything together for so long for
37:37everybody that i can put my oxygen mask on now and i have time to really work on my book that i'm

38:21a really he's a really nice guy when i see him with his friends at snl and when he was on 30 rock
38:29and you know with lauren michaels those are his people that is his community
38:34hey baby are you boss yeah your name is boss wait a second you're the boss whenever i need some
38:45affirmations about this life my answer is always have a baby but i am getting up there can't have
38:53too many babies now but um because you know one is easy but um i'm sorry one is not easy one is easy
39:00compared to seven yeah i mean seven kids is a lot but one kid is a lot and two kids is a lot and
39:06three kids a lot and the reason that it's a lot is because you're trying to take care of a whole
39:10other being this is like not a small task but it's not hard like you you adjust you adjust to it right
39:17no it's always hard oh it is okay so is that why we're not having an eighth baby
