00:00I never drunk around my kids when they were looking.
00:03Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:08All righty, the crossover is brought to you
00:09by Abundant Life Weight Loss.
00:11They know the secret to losing up to one pound
00:13of fat every day.
00:15Go to AbundantLifeWeightLoss.com.
00:17Dibs and Willard are not here yet.
00:20They'll be here shortly.
00:21On a stretch assignment.
00:23And then we'll get into the crossover.
00:26You know, you asked me something before the break
00:30and I answered it in a clever way, I must say.
00:33But I believe it.
00:35And, oh, Guru asked me,
00:38Stiney, is the 49ers window shut?
00:42And I said, yeah, the 49ers just shut it.
00:45Damn, lightweight profound.
00:47They kind of did.
00:50But they got a season to prove you wrong
00:52or anybody thinking that.
00:53I think it's shut.
00:55This is, yeah, this is where you got to look
00:57and be a little practical, I would think.
01:00They had, what, five or six rookies
01:03play a fairly significant role in last year's season.
01:09They have 11 picks this year.
01:12A lot of them are probably gonna have to play.
01:14He said it.
01:15Or at least compete.
01:16And I'm looking at a team that's gonna have a lot
01:20of rookies and second year players.
01:23Yeah, I think they're prepared to take a step back.
01:30Although, how do you take a step back from six and 11?
01:33I mean, the bottom line is that they-
01:35Five and 12 and four and 13.
01:36Well, but if they go, let's say they go nine and eight
01:39and miss the playoffs, I believe this is a team
01:42that'll say, okay, we're back on the rise again.
01:45Man, Stiney, I just, so let's just say you're right
01:49and that happens and I'm not,
01:51and this is what you kind of irritated me early
01:53thinking I was giving out passes for the Warriors
01:55because of who's injured, but it's kind of
01:57oranges and apples.
01:58But since 2019, Stiney, they were 13 and three,
02:02went to the Super Bowl, had a bad year of injuries,
02:052020, 2021, 10 and seven made the playoffs,
02:082022, 13 and four, 2023, 12 and five,
02:13went back to the Super Bowl, should've won.
02:15It's like Lynch and Kyle, along with other people,
02:19have built a monster.
02:21Well, have they?
02:22No.
02:23Have they?
02:24Hold on, my point is you should have something
02:26on your finger for what they built and how nasty they were.
02:30But they weren't good enough.
02:32They didn't build a good enough team.
02:34And what if I looked at it like this?
02:36Kyle Shanahan's been the coach for eight years.
02:38Yeah.
02:39Yeah, he's had four years under 500,
02:41but he's had four winning years and four losing years.
02:44No, I'm just saying.
02:45Yeah, but I'm saying we can't ignore
02:48how close they've gotten outside of the Chiefs.
02:51Well, you don't, you don't ignore it
02:53because you bring it up constantly, seriously.
02:57And that's fair.
02:58But what if the boat to that
03:00leaves the dock further and further?
03:01Well, then they don't win a title.
03:02No doubt.
03:03And that happens in the NFL and in pro sports.
03:06But nobody's entitled to win a title.
03:08And I'm not saying that.
03:09My point is, if that were to be the scenario,
03:12we can't ignore what they've built
03:15and how good it was for a good five or six years.
03:19That's all.
03:20I'm not sure that I believe you.
03:22And I'm actually not sure that you believe it.
03:25Because if the 49ers-
03:26No, tell me one part.
03:27Because if the 40, they were six and 11 last year.
03:29Let's say they don't do great this upcoming year
03:32and don't make the playoffs.
03:34Nobody's going to be giving the 49ers,
03:36Shanahan and Lynch credit
03:38for almost winning the Super Bowl three years ago.
03:41And I'm not lobbying for that,
03:42but I am telling you a team,
03:44any team on any football level, guys,
03:46well, Willamette Gibbs with this,
03:48that went to the Super Bowl for the second time
03:51and went to overtime,
03:52that's as close as you can get.
03:54Right?
03:55And they didn't do it.
03:56And that's over and it's done.
03:56Right.
03:58Hey, Mark, how you doing, buddy?
03:59Hey, Mark and Tim!
03:59Hey, Jimmy!
04:00Hey!
04:01Hey!
04:02Sorry we were a little late.
04:04Apologies for that.
04:05I want to argue.
04:06What are you guys talking about?
04:08Well, yeah.
04:09We just had Matt Barrows on.
04:11He's at the owner meetings.
04:12He just interviewed Shani, didn't he?
04:14Yeah.
04:15Yeah, he did a sit down with her.
04:16I didn't like that Greenline answer,
04:17but we'll get to that.
04:18What?
04:18Oh, I didn't hear it.
04:19I didn't hear it.
04:20Well, they kind of say they miscalculated
04:22and had other things going on in priorities.
04:25And I felt like he should have been a top priority
04:27and maybe you wouldn't have had to fly to Texas
04:29to try to, you know, after you cheat on your spouse,
04:32you're like, oh, I got you a ring.
04:33It's too late.
04:34Well, I do think that his answer was interesting
04:36because he was talking about how like free agency
04:38is not linear.
04:39It's not like, okay, we'll start with you
04:42and then you, and then you,
04:43it's like it opens and it's everything.
04:46And so-
04:46Feeding frenzy.
04:47It's a feeding frenzy.
04:48And you're trying to figure out like,
04:50okay, Charverius Ward, he's gone.
04:51He didn't want to be here.
04:52His wife, you know, trauma, gone, fine.
04:55And then you start to think about who you want to keep
04:57and how it's going to work.
04:58And then Denver comes in with a big kapow.
05:01That they didn't think was going to come Greenlaw's way,
05:03I think.
05:04Right.
05:05They didn't think that it would be that big or that long.
05:07And so when it happens and, you know, Dre,
05:09he signs it and they find out on Twitter,
05:12it's like, oh my God, we didn't have a chance
05:16to like match it or whatever.
05:17And so that one caught him off guard.
05:19I don't think that it's their fault
05:21because if they would have come like right away
05:24and given Dre three years and 39,
05:27Niner fans would be like, oh, that's too much.
05:29It's too long, whatever.
05:30So they were kind of doing a wait and see.
05:32And Denver came with the kapow and they got him.
05:35And Dre's like, yeah, I'll take that.
05:37But if they did then go, like, and I don't know exactly.
05:40I know what's been reported,
05:41but if they did during that sort of tampering period,
05:46then you go talk to him and you offer him more
05:50and he still says no,
05:52that tells me that he wanted his own shop.
05:55No.
05:56And we had heard that.
05:57Which he said.
05:57So then the 49ers were,
06:00maybe they weren't in position to keep Dre Greenlaw.
06:02He didn't, you know what I mean?
06:03Or I don't know if he was offended or something
06:07that they weren't like, you know,
06:08right there on day one with the big offer.
06:10I have no idea how that went down.
06:12But to me, if he wanted his own shop.
06:15Which he did.
06:16That's not a job that's open here.
06:18Regardless.
06:19That job's not open here.
06:19Yep, yep.
06:20Well, and I also believe that the proof is
06:25he wasn't a huge priority.
06:29In the end, you're right.
06:30Or at least this, I mean, this must be the truth.
06:33He was more of a priority for Denver than the 49ers.
06:37He sounded like he was a big priority for Sala.
06:38Man.
06:39Yeah, maybe, you know.
06:40But, man.
06:41But like, who was a big priority for them in free agency?
06:45Brock Burdy.
06:45The answer is Brock Burdy.
06:46Yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:47So beyond that, like, you know,
06:50Mark and I had a big debate about Aaron Banks
06:52and Jalen Moore and Aaron Banks got so much money,
06:55the Niners were probably like, good, congrats.
06:58I mean, it's been good.
06:59Ariana Grande, thank you, next.
07:01And Jalen Moore, thank you.
07:03I'd give myself a three,
07:04but then it'd be downgraded to a two.
07:06I graded myself last night on our show thread
07:09and I got an absolute blowback.
07:11It's too much.
07:12And they're right.
07:13I shouldn't have graded myself.
07:14I was trying to do a little thing on.
07:16But that was when you feel like you.
07:17Mike Yastromski joining us today at three.
07:20And so, you know, when Mark announced the booking,
07:23I let out a hell yes.
07:24Hell yes.
07:25Hell yes.
07:26And I gave it a three.
07:27I think that's a fair three.
07:28I like that.
07:29No, but here's the problem.
07:30You've done that before.
07:31We weren't mad at the grade.
07:33We're mad that he graded himself.
07:35And his point was,
07:37I wanted someone to grade it and no one did.
07:40So I'm looking at it right now.
07:41How long do you think it was between your joke
07:46and then the grading of your joke yourself?
07:48Before anyone else.
07:49I know the answer.
07:50What's the answer?
07:5119 seconds.
07:52Oh, well, that's actually incorrect.
07:54It's no more than two minutes.
07:55It was two minutes.
07:56Yeah.
07:57That's too short.
07:58Like you're acting like all of us at nine at night
08:01are staring at our phones with nothing.
08:03That's literally Jude's bedtime.
08:06I'm not coming down to,
08:07hey Jude, I know that you'd like me to pat you on the back.
08:10Put down the book.
08:11I'm going to go.
08:12Dibs has needs.
08:13Dibs needs me to give him a phone number
08:15that means nothing to anybody.
08:17Come on, man.
08:18And then a lot to me.
08:19We've got life going on out here.
08:20Brandy's 28 with no kids.
08:22Lucas is 30 something with a girlfriend.
08:25I get that.
08:26Usually he's.
08:27Allegedly no one's ever seen her.
08:30She lives in the Niagara Falls area.
08:32He's got pictures, but that could be anyone.
08:34Shout out Breakfast Club.
08:35For those of you who get the reference.
08:36Department stores have pictures of people too.
08:38It doesn't mean that.
08:39That's Vera, Noah's wife on a chair.
08:40Nobody ever saw her.
08:41It's a yellow card for grading yourself.
08:43And I get it.
08:44I took it.
08:45I accepted it.
08:45Listen, that's a game you play in college.
08:47You get to college.
08:48You got no action.
08:49After three months and people say,
08:51hey, you got no action.
08:52I got a girlfriend from high school.
08:54I got a high school girlfriend
08:56who goes to Gettysburg.
08:57Oh, man.
08:58No, you don't.
08:59But that's what you got to say.
09:00Why do you say that about college?
09:01Because I'll call my college senior at nine o'clock.
09:05Hey, how you doing, K?
09:06What's going on?
09:06I'm just having lunch.
09:09He's French.
09:10One o'clock.
09:11Just getting up.
09:11I get it.
09:12Dude, no doubt.
09:13Just getting up.
09:14That's great.
09:15And he'll text me at 2.48
09:16and then I'll respond at 6.13 in the morning
09:18when I'm getting up.
09:19It's like, I want to hear from this kid for nine hours.
09:21Oh, I left for work today.
09:24And one of the offspring was still in bed.
09:26Oh, boy.
09:27And I do afternoon drive.
09:29I don't know if y'all know this.
09:30I don't do a morning show until no twice.
09:33Get up!
09:33What are you doing in there?
09:35My daughter, man.
09:36Oh, my God.
09:38What's your son's name?
09:39Which one?
09:40Either of them.
09:41Abe is the older one.
09:42Jude is the young one.
09:44Because we played at Peacock Gap.
09:46Yep.
09:47Oh, they might know him over there.
09:48Well, I see a golf bag and the name said Josh Willard.
09:53Oh, no, that's not ours.
09:54Yeah, I can't claim Josh.
09:58I'm sure you say it related to Willard.
10:01I found out he was the guy who was running
10:02the program for kids that Sunday morning.
10:06Got it.
10:06Okay.
10:07Yeah, no, I don't know Josh.
10:08Josh Willard.
10:09I met your family.
10:10We'll have him to the barbecue this summer.
10:13You still nervous about this warrior gauntlet, Willard?
10:16Huge, absolutely.
10:16I can't.
10:17Very.
10:18Short show for you guys, dude.
10:19It is, yeah.
10:20Go, Shorty.
10:21Last one.
10:22Well, unless they end up in the play-in tournament.
10:26But anyway, yeah, this is the last one.
10:28And that's good.
10:30We're ready for that.
10:31I'm not worried about that.
10:32But yeah, this one especially, I agree with you guys.
10:38It's real Thursday.
10:39No, no, no.
10:40This one's the nerve wracking one for multiple reasons.
10:44Stiney, I know you said it's
10:46because it's the one you really need.
10:47And that's true.
10:49But I also think there's, it's like,
10:53it's the one that you can't explain away.
10:56It's the one that's gonna hurt you the most,
10:59even emotionally, if you lose it.
11:02This is your old rival.
11:04They're a rudderless ship.
11:05They have no leadership on that organization.
11:09They played last night.
11:11They got beat on their home floor.
11:13They were in it in half, but I get you.
11:15I know everybody's in it in half.
11:16You know, so are the Pelicans.
11:18But I mean, like, they're falling through the floor.
11:21If-
11:22Go handle business.
11:23I know, it's one night.
11:24So you can't put everything into one night.
11:26But if you really are who you think you are,
11:29you win this game.
11:31You win this game.
11:32And Memphis is probably saying that about themselves.
11:35I don't know what they're saying about themselves.
11:37They've gotta know that something's off.
11:40The coach just got fired.
11:42Yeah, I feel like we're gonna get
11:45an extreme Memphis today.
11:47They're either gonna be very desperate,
11:49or they're not gonna be together.
11:52And then I think the Warriors
11:54could do some damage.
11:55You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM
11:57and HD1 San Francisco.
11:59Always live on the free Odyssey app.
12:01And now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk Studios.
12:04Laughing Monk, righteously brewed in San Francisco.
12:08Yeah, this one, I mean, I don't wanna say
12:10it's a tone setter, but if you lose to the Grizzlies,
12:15then you're in peril of dropping.
12:19And if you beat the Grizzlies,
12:21then you have a realistic idea
12:25that you can actually move up further.
12:27That's kind of the way I look,
12:28because the, what, the Lakers are still
12:31two games ahead of the-
12:32Two and a half.
12:33Two and a half.
12:34Let's say the Warriors win tonight.
12:35Boom.
12:36So now it's two.
12:37Now you're the five.
12:37And now you got the Lakers.
12:39And you beat them.
12:40But you're, now you're down a game to the Lakers.
12:42But they have the tiebreaker.
12:45So you still get, yeah, so.
12:47So, you know, it's gonna be tough
12:49to catch the Lakers, is my feeling.
12:51Really tough, but for me, like,
12:53tonight is about, like, not cementing the six,
12:55but you beat Memphis, you're the five,
12:57and you do get a little bit of breathing room
13:00for the moment.
13:00And then, you know, Mark was mentioning yesterday,
13:02the gauntlet, you play the five, the four,
13:04the three, the two, in order.
13:07It reminds me of the old Pro Bowling Association ladder,
13:10where you bowl 12 games, and then you get to the Sunday,
13:13and it's like, the six plays the five,
13:15and whoever wins plays the four,
13:17and whoever wins plays the three.
13:19And if you were, like, at the bottom of the ladder,
13:21you had to win every game to win the tournament.
13:24And eventually, you'd have Earl Anthony at the top,
13:27and Mark Roth would be up there as well,
13:28Stiney, this is for me and you.
13:30Forget the rest of these zygotes, but.
13:32Phil Weber.
13:33Exactly.
13:34That's kind of what this feels like.
13:36It's not, but I allowed it, because, you know,
13:38you're doing great to keep up with my 80-year-old analogy,
13:41but that's kind of what this week feels like.
13:43You play the five, you beat them, you're the five.
13:46You play the four, you beat them.
13:48Well, you're not the four, but you at least
13:50are a little bit further away from the seven.
13:52And so, each game this week feels like
13:54a little bit of a ladder, or as my daughter would say,
13:56a yatter.
13:57A yatter, yeah.
13:58Nice.
13:59I look at these four games, it's not similar,
14:01but emotionally, it feels this way.
14:03It's kind of like a playoff series, and tonight's game one.
14:06And how do you feel about a playoff series
14:08when you lose game one?
14:10I feel sick to my stomach when you lose game one.
14:122022 finals.
14:14And the analytics will tell you that, like,
14:16you're already immediately in a very poor
14:19percentage situation when you lose game one.
14:22So, I look at this as game one of a playoff series
14:26that leads you either out of or in the play-in tournament.
14:30And if you lose tonight, I really love your chances
14:32to end up in the play-in.
14:33I got you.
14:34That's kind of how I feel.
14:35NBA playoff series, when you lose game one,
14:38you win 22% of the time.
14:41That's heavy.
14:42Historically.
14:43Warriors down 1-0 win 80% of the time.
14:46Look at that.
14:47Oh, wow.
14:48Yeah, I'd have to look at that.
14:492022?
14:49Well, that's not true,
14:50because they lost to the Lakers two years ago.
14:51Yeah, and in the first round, it's 80-20
14:53when you lose game one.
14:55Wow.
14:55Okay.
14:57Was like, oh, the other thing is,
14:58even though there's only eight games left,
15:00there really is a lot of time for movement.
15:03And, you know, I'm thinking, okay,
15:06what if the Warriors lost tonight?
15:08Well, that would stink, but Denver beats Minnesota.
15:12Then Denver's got a shot at two again.
15:14So if you fall to seven,
15:17or rather, if Denver loses tonight,
15:19the next thing,
15:20what I'm saying is you might end up with the team you want,
15:23even though you didn't go the route
15:25you wanted to go to get it.
15:26Well, sure.
15:27I mean, like, I don't know what these other teams
15:29are going to do.
15:30Minnesota's got a huge game tonight,
15:31and now they don't have two of their best players,
15:33because they all started to fight each other in the stands.
15:35In fact.
15:36So other stupid things can happen,
15:37and things could fall your way.
15:39The Clippers could decide that Kawhi Leonard
15:41just needs five days off,
15:42because they're weird, and he's weird.
15:44I don't know.
15:45He missed that Sunday game.
15:46I couldn't believe it.
15:47I don't know what those other teams are going to do,
15:50but I just think for your own sense of self,
15:55tonight is going to be really hard to digest
15:58if they don't win.
15:59Yeah.
16:00And how do you-
16:02But it's not over.
16:03No, of course not.
16:04Just like I've been telling you, but I get you.
16:05Of course not.
16:06But how do you prepare?
16:07And I know a team doesn't look the same every night,
16:09but if you don't win this one,
16:11how do you propose Thursday and Friday's going to go well?
16:14It's just, it's a confidence killer
16:17if you can't win tonight.
16:18Yeah, I was just about to-
16:20It's a huge game.
16:21I forget what show, I think it's on 95.7,
16:23the game starts at 10, ends at two.
16:25One of the hosts just pointed out that Gary Payton II
16:28was obviously not available,
16:31and then Kaminga might not be available.
16:33And one of the hosts, Host B,
16:35pointed out to Host A that, you know,
16:37hey, they're going to miss those two guys if that,
16:41and Host A just lost it on Host B
16:43for just pointing that out.
16:45I was listening.
16:46I would come in tomorrow and be like,
16:48Dibbers, they lost because they didn't have those two?
16:50No, it was just a foot nuggie nugg to the game,
16:54and Gary Payton II is playing his tail off.
16:56You know, I pitched him on Ja early,
16:59but now they don't have that,
17:00and they still can win the game.
17:01But Dibbs, I'm like, Host B just got,
17:04oh man, exploded on for nothing.
17:06But you didn't mention that Memphis
17:08is going to be without Brandon Clark,
17:10who's every bit as important
17:11as either of those guys for the Warriors.
17:13What?
17:14But it's been about the whole season.
17:15Exactly.
17:16Oh boy.
17:17This is a team that's been healthy.
17:18He's Host A for the people that don't know.
17:20Oh, yeah.
17:20I don't think they had to say that.
17:22I think it was pretty much understood.
17:23It's tough.
17:25I was thinking about, like, the Warriors,
17:27and if they were to go on a run,
17:29if they were to go on a dream run,
17:30and I was thinking about the 1995 Houston Rockets,
17:34who won the title as a six seed,
17:36and the teams they beat were 60 wins,
17:4059 wins, 62 wins,
17:43and then they swept Orlando at 57 wins.
17:46Dang.
17:46246 wins is the road that they took as a six seed.
17:50I'm an alley.
17:51So if you think about this year's Warriors,
17:52if they were to go on a similar run,
17:55it would take maybe the same kind of thing
17:58if it was, you know, Lakers or Denver
18:01or Memphis or Houston and then Oklahoma City
18:04and then Cleveland.
18:07You'd be talking about this level of an historic run
18:10that the Rockets went on as a six seed.
18:12Yeah, and I look at the Warriors,
18:14and now I'm looking at the West,
18:16and they may have a way they'd love to go
18:19with, oh, we'd love to get this team.
18:21You know what?
18:23Pick out the three of the top eight.
18:25Pick out the three teams that we think are the worst.
18:28It would still be, you know,
18:31they're still gonna have to beat Minnesota,
18:34the Clippers, and Memphis.
18:36Oh, KC.
18:36And I'm just taking even the three worst, you know?
18:40So yeah, it's gonna be tiny easy.
18:45I just was thinking about that team,
18:46which was 30 years ago this year,
18:48and it was, you know, their second title.
18:51They went back to back with Joe Jordan.
18:52Jordan's four or five year, yeah.
18:53Right, and you had Drexler, you had Vernon Maxwell,
18:57you had Hakeem, you had Kenny Smith.
18:59It was a similar kind of like veteran laden group
19:02that was able to, they won in five in the first round,
19:06best of five.
19:07They won in seven over Phoenix, best of seven.
19:10Then they won in six.
19:11And so that was a team that had to actually,
19:14you know, really dig deep.
19:16And then Orlando was kind of a different animal
19:18where it was Baby Shaq and Nick Anderson missed
19:20those free throws and they swept the magic.
19:23But the whole idea of if the Warriors could go on this run,
19:27you would need that level of like absolute clutch play
19:31to get it done.
19:32Yeah, it's, you know, any way you cut it,
19:35it's gonna be an uphill battle.
19:37Was that their first title?
19:40No, that was their second title.
19:41Okay, so they were defending champions
19:43going in as the sixth seed.
19:44The first title was when they beat the Knicks.
19:47Yes, yes.
19:47That was OJ.
19:49They beat the Knicks in seven.
19:50And that was the first year, no Jordan.
19:52They beat the Suns in seven.
19:54And then they went to the NBA finals
19:56and I think they were down three, two in that NBA finals.
19:58Mario Oli had the kiss of death shot.
20:00That's right.
20:01That's right.
20:02They actually were down,
20:04they were down three games to two.
20:05The last two games, 86-84 and 90-84.
20:10In the finals or Western Conference finals?
20:11Finals, over the Knicks.
20:13Knicks were one game from winning a title?
20:15They were up three, two.
20:16Yeah.
20:17What year was that?
20:18That was 94.
20:19Man, I don't remember that.
20:20Yeah.
20:21Neither do I.
20:21Houston was up two, one.
20:23The Knicks went back to back at home
20:25and then back to Houston.
20:27Houston won 86-84 behind Hakeem with 30
20:31and then Hakeem.
20:32Starks went blank on them.
20:33Yeah.
20:34Oh, that was his two for 19.
20:36Oh my goodness.
20:36Yeah, one of those games.
20:38Yeah.
20:38Anyway, 30 years ago.
20:40And so as we talk about a Warrior team going on,
20:44a real run, like a deep run.
20:46And I mean, I guess now would be a good time to ask you,
20:48Mark, if I gave you the over-under
20:50and I've done this now eight times.
20:52Okay.
20:53And Mark's answer has been the same all eight times.
20:55Warriors playoff wins this year over-under four and a half,
21:00which means they win a series and they don't get swept.
21:04Where are you, Mark?
21:05Under.
21:06Still under.
21:07Mark, no.
21:07Still under.
21:08Guru, you're over.
21:09I'm emphatically over, yeah.
21:10I would, this is where Mark and I are the same.
21:13We're just looking at the odds.
21:14Yeah.
21:15And I would say.
21:16And you're unemotional.
21:17I would say under.
21:18And it's funny because you had your beautiful hoodie
21:20on yesterday and I come into work today
21:23and I go to record in the boss's office.
21:26And there it is.
21:27There it is.
21:28No, my headphones that I left behind.
21:30That's where it was.
21:32Boy, I was watching the car crash.
21:34And I was looking around thinking, you know what?
21:36I saw it, yeah.
21:38I was wondering, and somebody actually asked me on Twitter,
21:40like, you know, did Steph Curry discard
21:44the Franklin and Marshall jersey faster than Steinie?
21:47So I went into boss's office and I'm like,
21:48I bet you his hoodie's there.
21:50And I looked and it's not there.
21:52Yeah, he take it with him.
21:53It's in the house.
21:54Impressive.
21:55Real quick.
21:56I don't know if you saw the great Shafsky
21:57coming with three bats today.
21:59No.
22:00He came in with three bats, right?
22:02And it was all about the torpedo.
22:02It's not good if somebody comes in to work with bats,
22:05by the way.
22:05He was doing a video for the dentist's office.
22:06And I go, where you going?
22:07What was that movie?
22:08Was it Morgan Freeman,
22:10who was the principal of a school in New York?
22:12Oh, yeah.
22:13I thought it was Richmond.
22:14Something Joe.
22:15And he would carry a bat with him everywhere he went.
22:18I thought that was Richmond County.
22:19What was worse than?
22:20What was the name of that movie?
22:22What was worse than Shafsky?
22:22It wasn't Stand By Me,
22:24but there was Stand in the title.
22:25No, no.
22:25Stand By Me.
22:26That's Edward James Olmos.
22:27Yeah, it's not that.
22:29It's not that.
22:29Hold on.
22:30Hold on.
22:31It was Richmond, Cali.
22:32Lean on me.
22:33There was Stand By Me.
22:34Not Stand.
22:35There was a me in there.
22:36Worse than Shafsky bringing in three bats
22:39is Guru asked him why he brought in three bats.
22:42So that kept him in the studio for another three.
22:45We love that.
22:45I love you, Shaf.
22:46A demonstration on the torpedo bat.
22:49Where are you guys at?
22:50So I guess these were out last year.
22:52Guys were using them.
22:53Yeah.
22:53I mean, I think that from the inside intel
22:57that we've been receiving,
22:59these aren't just like a thing where you're like,
23:02get me a torpedo bat.
23:03And that will make it so that the ball flies off
23:06of the handle when I swing.
23:07Apparently these are analytically built to your swing.
23:12Not just a torpedo bat.
23:15Every single one of them is analytically driven.
23:17As we see on the TV.
23:18To the player that orders one.
23:21And yes, this is not the first year.
23:23And it's not going away because it's not illegal.
23:25It's not illegal.
23:26But why is it taking on a theme like it's illegal?
23:29Well, I don't know.
23:30I mean, look, I guess,
23:32did Elie De La Cruz just use one for the first time?
23:34As soon as the Giants left.
23:35Right, but the Giants have given up what?
23:3711 runs in four games?
23:40So maybe either people don't have torpedo bats
23:43or maybe you're still-
23:44This is incredible.
23:45Maybe you're still able to pitch.
23:46The Giants have played four games in hitters parks.
23:50Really good hitters parks.
23:52Web tonight.
23:52And they're shoving it.
23:53Man.
23:54So yeah, those guys need some torpedo bats.
23:57All right, well, they got Mike Yastrzemski
23:59coming up at three o'clock.
24:00Don't go anywhere.
24:02And don't forget Warriors Memphis, five o'clock tonight.
24:05Catch Warriors Live at four with Evan Giddings.
24:08Don't go anywhere on 95.7.
24:09What?
24:10Wow, he took our job.
24:11Yeah, we're doing it.
24:13With Willard and Dibbs, Warriors Live.
24:16That's my three, two, and one.
24:18Where do we all work?
24:20Why did you have to correct it?
