00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Bertagno. We've
00:03got plenty of fine and settled weather in store across the UK as we head into the afternoon.
00:07There will be some patchy cloud towards the north and north-east, perhaps giving an isolated
00:11shower here, but generally speaking it's fine. Lots of sunshine around, particularly across
00:14England and Wales. Bit of a keen breeze blowing from the north and north-west across those
00:18eastern and north-eastern spots, and here that will peg the temperatures back. So feeling
00:22cool across those north-eastern areas, but elsewhere temperatures doing quite well into
00:26the mid, even upper teens Celsius, peaking at 16 or 17 Celsius this afternoon in the
00:31south-east, that's into the low 60s in Fahrenheit. As we go into the evening and through the
00:35overnight period, the cloud towards the north and north-east will tend to melt away, leaving
00:39a lot of clear weather across the bulk of the UK heading into the overnight period.
00:42But notice towards the north, and particularly the far north-west, cloud tended to thicken.
00:47Some outbreaks of patchy rain moving across the northern and western isles into the early
00:50hours of Monday, and across other northern and north-western spots a bit more aware of
00:54clouds certainly by the morning on Monday. The clearest skies then across England and
00:57Wales, and here we'll see the lowest temperatures too, quite a widespread frost forming some
01:01rural spots, temperatures below freezing, certainly down to minus three or minus four
01:05Celsius in one or two places. Towards the north and north-west there with the cloud,
01:09the breeze, and those outbreaks of patchy rain, temperatures here staying safely above
01:13freezing. Into Monday then, and we hold onto a fair bit of cloud across the north and north-west
01:17of the UK, thick enough towards the north and west of Scotland especially to give some
01:21patchy rain at times. Perhaps an isolated shower elsewhere across parts of Northern
01:25Ireland and Scotland, whereas the south and east of Scotland are seeing some sunshine
01:29at times. But generally speaking, it's England and Wales seeing the best of the sunshine,
01:32almost wall-to-wall sunshine here once any early fog and frost lifts. And with the sunshine
01:37here, light winds too, feeling quite warm out and about. Temperatures again up to sixteen
01:41or seventeen Celsius, seventeen is sixty-three in Fahrenheit, perhaps even peaking at seventeen
01:46or eighteen across the Murray for Scotland, but generally feeling a bit cooler towards
01:50the north and north-west where we'll see the breeziest conditions. As we head into
01:54the evening on Monday, the cloud across the north and north-west will tend to actually
01:57feed away northwards, allowing a lot of clear weather to develop across the UK heading into
02:02Monday night, so we could see a bit of frost again by the morning on Tuesday. But the rest
02:06of the week looks pretty fine actually, lots of fine and settled weather in store and those
02:09temperatures are climbing too into the upper-teens Celsius in places. That's pretty much it from
02:13me, but of course you can keep tuned to The Met Office Forecast by following us on social
02:17media and by subscribing to our YouTube channel. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye.
