00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. So another changeable
00:05day is on the cards for many of us today with plenty of rain and showers around. Particularly
00:09across the northern half of the UK, we'll see outbreaks of rain gradually starting to
00:12ease as we go through the afternoon. But for parts of Northern Ireland, North West Scotland
00:16and across eastern parts of England, there will be some sunshine on offer this morning.
00:20Where we see that sunshine across the very far southeast, we're likely to see some showers
00:24bubbling up through the afternoon. These could turn quite heavy and perhaps thundery in places
00:28with some hail mixed in there as well, and that could lead to some localised flooding
00:31across the southeast. A bit of a cloudier picture further north though, but temperatures
00:36similar to what we saw on Saturday, highs in the south of 17, 18, perhaps 19 degrees,
00:40so well above average for the time of year. And even in the north, 10, 11 or 12 degrees,
00:45so it will feel pleasant where we do see that sunshine. As we then go through the rest of
00:49Sunday evening, any showers that we see across the southeast slowly push their way offshore
00:53to generally turning drier for all of us by the time we get to Monday morning. Plenty
00:57of clear skies on offer for parts of Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland too, and likely
01:01to turn quite chilly under those clear skies. But generally saying that, a little bit cloudier
01:05across much of England and Wales to start on Monday. Where we do see that cloud across
01:09much of England and Wales, likely to be a bit of a mild night, perhaps not quite as
01:13mild as we saw on the previous night. Temperatures still here widely in the high single figures,
01:17but further north where we do see those clear skies, it is likely to turn quite chilly,
01:21perhaps a touch of frost in places. So a bright start across parts of Northern Ireland and
01:27Scotland, plenty of sunshine and blue skies on offer throughout the morning. A cloudier
01:31start across much of England and Wales, but that cloud gradually starting to fizzle out
01:34as we go through the afternoon. So some sunny spells definitely developing here as well.
01:40Across the very far northwest though, that sunshine likely to turn quite hazy through
01:43the afternoon as we see this weather front arriving across northwest Scotland. So perhaps
01:46some heavy downpours here and some blustery winds picking up as well. Temperatures will
01:51be down a touch compared to what we saw over the weekend. Still a little bit above average
01:54across the south, 12, 13, 14, maybe an isolated 15 and in the north 12 or 13 degrees here
02:00too. That weather front then slowly sinks its way southwards and gradually fizzles out
02:05through Monday and high pressure starts to build in behind. But you can find out more
02:08about that by hitting subscribe on our YouTube channel. Bye for now.
