00:00Hello there. Many of us enjoyed some warm spring sunshine this afternoon, quite a few
00:05spots reaching 20 or 21 degrees Celsius. But I'm afraid as we head towards the weekend
00:10there is a change on its way. And we'll start to see that change as we finish off the day
00:14on Friday across parts of the southwest, some cloud and some showers here. But for many
00:18to end the week, once again it should be dry and feeling warm in the sunshine. And we still
00:23remain in that southerly flow of air with low pressure to the southwest, high pressure
00:28to the east. So still maintaining that southerly flow of air as we head through the weekend.
00:31So things remaining largely mild, but there's likely to be more rain on the cards, particularly
00:37into Saturday. We'll see some more frontal systems bringing in some longer spells of
00:41rain, particularly across the north at times, and also some showers developing with those
00:45warmer temperatures. And even into Sunday, there is still going to be some rain and some
00:49showers on the cards, but perhaps not quite as widespread. So to start off the day on
00:55Saturday, then lots of cloud around, some quite low cloud at times, so very grey start,
00:59some low murky cloud, making things feel rather miserable to start. And also some longer spells
01:04of rain too, particularly across Scotland, northern parts of England, where this could
01:07be quite heavy at times. Across parts of the south and central areas, it should brighten
01:12up through the afternoon, but there is a risk of showers. And with light winds, these could
01:16move through fairly slowly, bringing in some more persistent outbreaks of rain and perhaps
01:20the odd heavier shower with a risk of hail, perhaps even the odd rumble of thunder. But
01:25the bulk of the rain through much of the day across Northern Ireland and western parts
01:29of Scotland and quite breezy too, particularly across North Sea coasts. But still, those
01:34milder temperatures, so highs of 16 to 17. So it's not going to be a cold day, just wetter
01:39than perhaps the end of the week. Through the course of the evening, that cloud is set
01:44to stick around once again, leading to quite a murky start as we head into Sunday. Still
01:48some longer spells of rain, particularly across parts of Scotland, though it largely clears
01:53across Northern Ireland, turning more showery in nature. And there still could be the odd
01:57shower by the morning, particularly across parts of the southeast. But overall, it should
02:01remain largely dry overnight with plenty of cloud around. Temperatures aren't going to
02:04dip away as much either. So a largely mild start to Sunday. Now, it's going to be fairly
02:09similar. There's still a chance of some rain and also some showers, still some longer spells
02:13of rain at times, particularly across western parts of Scotland. And then through the afternoon
02:17as things start to warm up, there is a risk once again of some showers, particularly across
02:21parts of the south where once again they could be slow moving. So some persistent outbreaks
02:25of rain which could turn heavy, possibly thundery too. But there will also be plenty of bright
02:30weather once that mist and muck clears up through the morning and still a little bit
02:34blustery across western coasts, but for many much lighter winds and still some outbreaks
02:39of rain. Yes, but still mild for the time of year. Highs of around 16 Celsius. Now,
02:45if you're not a fan of the wet weather, well, as we head into the new working week, a ridge
02:49of high pressure building from the west does dry things out, though it could be still fairly
02:53cloudy at times, still with that mist and muck during the morning. That's away from
02:56the north-west, though, where once again we'll see further outbreaks of rain, perhaps some
03:00windy weather start to clip the north-west of Scotland. So enjoy the warm sunshine while
03:04it's here. Otherwise, that's it from me. Bye-bye.
