Southampton 0-4 Brighton and Hove Albion: View from the pressbox
Transcript
00:00Hello, I'm Sam Morton, reporter for Sussex World. I've just watched Brighton beat Southampton 4-0 at St Mary's Stadium.
00:07It was a brilliant performance from Brighton who could have scored another four at least on the day really.
00:13They were completely dominant throughout the match. It was a real attacking masterclass and it was just really good to see Brighton really back to their fluid best going forward.
00:24Especially Jorginho Rutter, who was involved in every move going forward. Jal Pedro back in the team in the goals as well.
00:33Karim Atoma scoring again, his fifth in seven games now. It was a lovely goal from him.
00:39Jack Hinchwood as well getting on the score sheet, which was great to see.
00:43It was just overall a really good performance from Brighton who are known to drop points in these kinds of games against teams they should be beating.
00:49But there was no chance of them dropping points today. It was a really composed and dominant performance.
00:54The result moves Brighton up to eighth in the table, just four points below fourth place Man City if we travel to Liverpool tomorrow.
01:01Things are definitely looking more rosy from a Brighton point of view.
01:04Three wins on the bounce now after those two wins over Chelsea in the FA Cup and the Premier League.
01:09Brilliant reaction to that match in Nottingham Forest. They really haven't let that affect them at all. That's really great to see.
