PAGASA: Rains to prevail over parts of the Philippines

00:15are affecting and affecting a large part of our country.

00:19Here in the part of the Luzon, particularly in the northern and central Luzon area, we

00:24may experience a rainy season, especially in the eastern sections of the northern and

00:29central Luzon area, the effect of the northeast monsoon or AMIHAN, as well as the shear line

00:35of the cold and hot wind.

00:39Meanwhile, here in the part of Mindanao and Palawan, if we see these clouds, we can see

00:46in our latest satellite animation, that is the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ

00:52and it will cause rain in the northern part or western sections of Mindanao and Palawan

01:00area.

01:01Meanwhile, for the rest of the country, we can see that the weather will be clear, there

01:06are only isolated possibilities of rain, but here in the eastern sections of Visayas and

01:13Mindanao, if we see these clouds that are moving closer to our country, that is the

01:20easterlies or the hot wind coming from the Pacific Ocean, and because of the easterlies,

01:25we may also experience a rainy season in the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao.

01:33And for the next few days until the upcoming weekend, we expect that the rains will not

01:38continue due to the effect of AMIHAN, shear line, and possible because of the easterlies,

01:44especially in the eastern sections of our country.

01:47So from tomorrow until the upcoming weekend, it will be rainy season in the eastern part

01:53of our country, so be careful to our countrymen, there are possibilities of flooding or landslides

02:00due to the continuous rains.

02:04Let's talk about the weather conditions today here in Luzon, due to the effect of AMIHAN

02:10and also the Northeast Monsoon, we expect the rains in the eastern sections of the northern

02:16and central zone area.

02:18Due to the effect of the shear line, we will experience moderate to heavy rains in Cagayan,

02:23Isabela, Quirino, and Aurora, and based on our latest weather advisory, we may experience

02:29heavy rains that may lead to floods or landslides in some parts of Isabela and Aurora, so be

02:38careful to our countrymen there.

02:41Meanwhile, for the rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, we will

02:46experience light to moderate rains due to the effect of AMIHAN.

02:53In the northern part of Luzon, we expect generally fair weather conditions, so it will be hot

02:59in the afternoon and there are chances of landslides or sudden rains, usually in the

03:07afternoon or at night.

03:08Here in Ilocos Region, we may experience isolated light rains and for the rest of Luzon, mostly

03:14isolated thunderstorms or sudden rains that we will experience today.

03:21Temperature forecast for the neighboring cities here in Luzon, we may reach 30°C maximum

03:27temperatures today here in Lawag and 27°C here in Togigerao.

03:32Meanwhile, in Legazpi, we may experience 24°C to 30°C, 15°C to 21°C today here in Baguio,

03:4231°C maximum temperatures for Metro Manila, and here in Tagaytay, we may experience 21°C

03:49to 29°C.

03:52We will have time in the southern part of our country, here in the eastern sections of

03:58Visayas and Mindanao, we expect rainy weather due to the effect of the easterly or hot wind

04:06coming from the Pacific Ocean.

04:08Not only in the eastern Visayas, Caragas, and also in the Davao Oriental, there may be

04:13rainy weather in the area of Sorosugon, so double caution to our fellowmen there.

04:19Meanwhile, in the western sections of Mindanao, and also here in Palawan, in Zamboanga Peninsula,

04:26Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, and also in Palawan, there will be rainy weather due to the effect

04:33of the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ.

04:37And for the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, the sky conditions are partly cloudy to cloudy

04:43today, and there are chances of sudden or quick rains of thunderstorms,

04:50especially in the afternoon or evening.

04:54Temperature forecast for the neighboring cities of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,

04:58here in Puerto Princesa and Kalayaan Islands, our maximum temperatures are 31 degrees Celsius,

05:05for Iloilo, 24 to 31 degrees Celsius, 30 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures for Metro Cebu,

05:12and 29 degrees Celsius for Tacloban.

05:16Meanwhile, for Mindanao, the water temperature here in Zamboanga will be 24 to 31 degrees

05:23Celsius, 30 degrees Celsius for Cagayan de Oro maximum temperatures, and 32 degrees

05:28Celsius maximum temperatures for Metro Davao.

05:33In terms of the sea conditions, we have a high gale warning in the eastern seaboard of

05:39the Northern Zone, where the coastal areas of Cagayan and Isabela are located.

05:44We expect the sea level to rise to a very high level here in the coastal areas,

05:51the areas highlighted in red, and it is dangerous to go out, especially our countrymen who have

05:57small fishing boats and our countrymen who will go fishing.
