00:06:50evening coach can you hear me okay good evening actually up I got you awesome if
00:06:55you're ready we'll go ahead and get started with questions Alex Brasket
00:06:59we'll have our first question hey Sean did you get any sleep last night yeah
00:07:12we got some we got some like probably like you guys late night early morning
00:07:16right right how about injuries Taylor Rapp carted off the field after going to
00:07:22the blue medical tent what's his update if you have one and what's the course of
00:07:27action if he can't play Cole Bishop seems to be the first in line and I
00:07:30guess I'll get this out of the way does Mike Hyde have any chance to suit up if
00:07:34Taylor can't go I'll start with Mike the answer is no no chance he's gonna suit
00:07:39up Taylor is day to day we'll see how that goes throughout our week and then
00:07:45the other injury that I have right now is CB is in the concussion protocol
00:07:51all right and yesterday against the Ravens you used your base defense seemed
00:07:56up the blitz a little bit too what was the decision-making process like when
00:08:01you and Bobby and the other defensive coaches made the decision that you guys
00:08:05were gonna switch things up you know I just going through the normal process of
00:08:11formulating a game plan more than anything I would say Alex and trying to
00:08:15you know do what we feel like is best for for that game in particular and how
00:08:23about the offense in the second half yesterday six points do you feel things
00:08:27got maybe too conservative or what was your perspective on why you were maybe
00:08:32unable to build the lead there well I thought that you know the Ravens give
00:08:36them credit they played really good defense stingy defense against us there
00:08:39and you know certainly didn't didn't produce enough points we had a good
00:08:45driver to in the fourth quarter but in the at the end of the day we got a score
00:08:51points and that's what that's what we're meant to do here all right thanks
00:08:55for your time sure
00:09:00good afternoon coach Pat Freeman from the Buffalo Criterion how you doing
00:09:05today I'm doing well Pat how are you I'm great congratulations on a great win on
00:09:12yesterday can you update us to I know to Ron Johnson did go out of the game how
00:09:18did he come out health-wise he came out okay a little bit sore but all in all
00:09:24okay and after watching the film what were your biggest coaches concerns after
00:09:32watching the film of yesterday's game more so than anything I would say
00:09:38fundamental fundamentals and execution it usually starts there and it's
00:09:46continued areas of emphasis for us throughout our week this week you
00:09:51always preach taking care of the football and that seemed to come that
00:09:55game when you look at the stats the numbers the biggest thing that sticks
00:10:00out more than anything was how well the team and Josh Allen took care of the
00:10:06football something he's done all year has just just been something as one of
00:10:12the focal points of your coaching's now well it's it's what we believe in in
00:10:18terms of our approach to the game it's it's easier said than done I could tell
00:10:25you I mean the defenses in the league are so good so it has to continue to be
00:10:30a point of emphasis for us every day and my last question to you did you I asked
00:10:37you last night were you going over to your office and starting your film study
00:10:41how long did you work last night I came over here and did my normal routine I
00:10:48guess I would say after after a game well good luck to you on this week and
00:10:55congratulations thank you all right thanks Pat appreciate it have a great
00:10:58week take care hey Sean John Warrell John I guess you
00:11:06you identify Terrell Bernard for his leadership and ability very early on in
00:11:12this career what I guess how fulfilling is it to see a mature and what did you
00:11:17see from so early on are you referring to this year as early on or I'm talking
00:11:26about early on in his career his pro career yes yeah I mean you know he came
00:11:34to us in a similar way where he was at Baylor known for his for his intangibles
00:11:43for his leadership being one of those areas of his intangibles and you know
00:11:49again it's not always just the talent that draws us to people it's it's the
00:11:55it's the total package of of who they are as people and then what they can
00:12:00become as players and people as well so he just he's had that that it that trait
00:12:06about him that leadership trait I'm sure it's from from you know when he was
00:12:11really young and then when you watch them at Baylor and in our communication
00:12:15with with the school he came from that was that was well known about it moving
00:12:22on up tomorrow Hamlin a lot's been made of his journey what were your emotions
00:12:26when you saw that when you saw him grab Lamar by the ankle and just never let
00:12:32go well I was saying the bond run man run but then I saw he'll tracking him
00:12:42down so no it was a great play great moment for for tomorrow of many moments
00:12:48that he's had this year the thing I love about it with tomorrow's he is so intent
00:12:53on growing every week and and really perfecting his process every week it's
00:13:01just been it's just been a joy to watch him grow and just lastly this goes back
00:13:07a long time the Bills inability to win a playoff game on the road it goes beyond
00:13:13you even what is it a mindset thing is it just a comfort thing what are the
00:13:19challenges that teams have to overcome to win a playoff game I'm away from home
00:13:27you know I don't know I wasn't here in those years you're referring to but I'll
00:13:31just I'll just say from my own experience in the playoffs you've got to
00:13:35play your best football plain and simple you got to perform at a level that
00:13:39allows you to win thanks Sean sure
00:13:45hey Sean Ian Mills from Channel 10 in Rochester how you doing this afternoon
00:13:49I'm doing well Ian how are you I'm not bad I've seen a lot was said coming into
00:13:54the game about the you know the size of the offensive line at the Ravens and the
00:13:58lack of size or size of the you know defense line from you guys but early in
00:14:03the game especially the first half when you guys got that 11-point lead really
00:14:06holding them you know they were struggling to run the ball a little bit
00:14:10how big was that early in the game to kind of set the tone so that they
00:14:15weren't able to run the ball I mean obviously you know Martha for a touch on
00:14:17the first drive but they were struggling to run the ball early on how big was that
00:14:20to sort of set the tone for the rest of the game well you know you have to take
00:14:24away something from a dynamic offense like that so you can only focus usually
00:14:28on one thing at a time so I thought we did a good job in that regard to your
00:14:33point and so that was that was part of the game plan yes yeah and then Greg
00:14:40Russo back-to-back games in the playoffs right now with sex you know how has he
00:14:44sort of come on this season obviously you know it's had a good career but come
00:14:47on this season especially late now in these last two postseason games well I
00:14:51think he's done a good job and that's really what's required is our best
00:14:54players have to have to play their best every week and that's true during the
00:14:59course of the regular season and I think Greg is starting to understand how
00:15:03important that is to our team success as well yeah last time you guys run the
00:15:08AFC championship back in the 2020 season a lot of new faces since then do
00:15:14you feel like having sort of a lot of new fresh faces since that time since
00:15:18these last couple playoff heartbreaks sort of helps the team at all or is that
00:15:21not something you think about at all not something I think about at all
00:15:26thanks John Thanks
00:15:30you
00:15:37hi Sean how are you I'm well how are you good thank you um there's a trend over
00:15:46the last year so of you know teams kind of moving towards controlling the ball
00:15:51a little bit more it used to be you know you you throw the ball quite a bit and
00:15:56now it's it's controlling the clock and running the ball what what have you
00:16:01seen just in terms of you know over the last year so teams moving towards
00:16:06shortening possessions rather than creating more of them no great question
00:16:11Nick I think it's I think it's spot-on what you're you know mentioning it's
00:16:17just a matter of I think you know game to game once in a while or how your team
00:16:21is built and then and then countering off of what sometimes defenses are
00:16:27presenting structurally to the offense for you guys you have a dynamic guy like
00:16:35Josh but you've really made it an emphasis over the last year and a half
00:16:39two years to to run the ball a little bit more and maybe not get away from it
00:16:44when it doesn't work early why why that you know a lot of people might think why
00:16:50you taking the ball out of Josh's hands so much but it seems to be working for
00:16:53you well there's a delicate balance there no doubt you know at the end of
00:16:59the day you want to do what helps you win the most run or pass so yeah I mean
00:17:07it's I think just trying to create a good game plan week to week that's going
00:17:10to give you the best chance to win and then adjusting through the course of the
00:17:13game based on how you're being defended and also then again what's working so
00:17:17that's kind of the the week-to-week you know approach I guess you would say I
00:17:24think there's a obviously you want to keep guys like Lamar Jackson off the
00:17:29field but the last couple weeks keeping whether it's bone X or Lamar Jackson off
00:17:33the field it seems like it's kind of broken their their rhythm a little bit
00:17:36they're not able to really get into a groove how much do you think that's kind
00:17:40of played a part over the last couple weeks as well well I think it's I think
00:17:44it's more so the complementary approach that we've been able to play that style
00:17:49of game right offense defense special teams all working together and and
00:17:56that's that's important I mean it's the only way you win these games is by all
00:17:59three phases doing their part thank you
00:18:04you
00:18:12that's good Don I'm one for you Dave Naylor TSN I noticed not Milano was off
00:18:19the field for I think the final three plays of the of the touchdown series and
00:18:24then for the two-point conversion could you could you speak to why he was I
00:18:28think replaced by Dorian Williams and is there is there any health concern with
00:18:31them moving on yeah no I not that I know of at this time you know I didn't
00:18:37get much information on it after the game so I'm still waiting for some
00:18:40updates from our trainer at this point but was it was he off the field for an
00:18:44injury reason at the time I you know I wasn't I wasn't told that so again I
00:18:49still wait on Nate did they get in here late so still wait on him to give me
00:18:52some updates thank you yep
00:19:01coach Mookie Hawkins or first worst in 80 could win yesterday thanks move
00:19:06appreciate it yes sir um just care to talk about Ed Oliver's dominance you
00:19:13know it's just to begin the game you know how he really set the tone in the
00:19:17trenches there yesterday coach he's been playing extremely well he really has you
00:19:22know in particular the one run play stands out yesterday where he got off a
00:19:26block he was in his gap and then you know what we call a gap and a half shed
00:19:30the block to play in the adjacent gap and it made a heck of a tackle in the
00:19:35running back so it's plays like that that really come to mind and you know
00:19:40being able to do that in a two-dimensional way to run in the past
00:19:44game is what's important for us moving forward no sir and in that third quarter
00:19:49it seemed like you know Baltimore was able to get some momentum going get some
00:19:53drives you know get you know just getting things going in the running game
00:19:56but you maintain that momentum with Tyler Bass 51-yard field goal just just
00:20:02care to talk about that that that sequence of situations no the confidence
00:20:07that that we have in him the confidence he has in himself was was on display full
00:20:11display last night and you know he continues to do a great job for us no
00:20:16doubt coach and hey this is your second time making it to the SEA championship
00:20:21game so really what goes into seizing a moment you know like these but
00:20:26understand that the task at hand you know I think at the end of the day it's
00:20:30normal routine normal approach you know make sure we're prepared during the week
00:20:35to do our jobs and do them at a high level absolutely coach have a great week
00:20:39good luck you too move thanks hi Sean I'm Christian Benford being in the
00:20:46concussion protocol is that something that popped up after the game yes yeah
00:20:52so it's just like a evaluation after the game he didn't have any issues
00:20:56during the game it was on one of the late on one of the last plays of the
00:21:01game on that on sides kick gotcha thank you and then Amari Cooper I remember
00:21:08when you guys traded for him and the challenges that it presents when you add
00:21:12somebody in season and getting up to speed tempering expectations he's had
00:21:16some well over the course of the season have you is it been a struggle to
00:21:21interject him into the offense at times or how have you evaluated his play and
00:21:27Joe's ability to kind of get him involved well I think I think it's you
00:21:32know every week we look at it and see how we can best put ourselves in a
00:21:36position to win and who the ball is going to find through Josh's reads and
00:21:41at the end of the day you know he has to go through his reads I think he's done a
00:21:45phenomenal job of being a great decision maker this year in particular Josh has
00:21:48and continues to get better and better through the course of the season and the
00:21:52ball the ball goes to the guy who is open so you know that's that's kind of
00:21:58the natural evolution of where the ball goes and then like the difference you
00:22:05know I know it's just 10 snaps and I know you guys play a lot of six
00:22:08offensive linemen but you see like Mac and Keon with you know considerably more
00:22:13snaps than Amari and Curtis is that just like game plan specific stuff yes
00:22:19and no it's it's just making sure that you know we have our players out there
00:22:24that we want out there and need out there for certain situations to your
00:22:27point and for certain game plan plays thanks Sean appreciate it sure
00:22:33hey Sean Josh Reed here what obviously you knew that the Ravens weren't gonna
00:22:40punt so the decision to make Codrington inactive was ended up being very
00:22:45brilliant on your part hey Tom but in all seriousness was that a health
00:22:49related thing was he healthy enough to play or was that more of a personnel
00:22:54decision and you were comfortable with Khalil Shakir more of a personnel
00:22:58decision you know as we get to later in the week it was clear pretty clear that
00:23:02Brandon was in a pretty good spot to go you know just you know a numbers
00:23:08decision as well as veteran player and it also at least last week gave us a
00:23:14chance to get another core player up on another in another position is that
00:23:19something that may be considered again this week have to see you know with a
00:23:24couple of those injuries that I mentioned sometimes the domino effect
00:23:28takes place and you gotta kind of figure some some of that out so I really won't
00:23:34know it's it's early right now for us so they're trying to see how all those
00:23:38things kind of crystallized for us here over the next couple of days I'll have
00:23:43I'll have better information for you guys on Wednesday sounds good thanks a
00:23:48lot Sean have a good day yep you too
00:23:52you
00:23:56hey Sean I guess I'll go here thanks for taking the time that's looking back to
00:24:04the AFC championship game the last time you took on the Chiefs there were a
00:24:08couple of fourth down decisions where you took maybe the more conservative
00:24:12route and in the previous years this season include you've become more
00:24:16aggressive on fourth down can you just kind of talk about your evolution on
00:24:19making those fourth down decisions yes I mean it's you girls for the years you
00:24:26learn things you learn about your team that that season so all of them are a
00:24:32little bit different but you continue to try and put your team in position to win
00:24:36and and that's that's what we do is that maybe a game that you look back on that
00:24:42is kind of spurred some of these decision-making processes where you kind
00:24:46of adjust your process going forward yeah I would say I would say that's one
00:24:50of them you know you learn from things like that and you're never going to be
00:24:55perfect right nobody is I think there was only one man that ever walked this
00:24:59earth that was ever perfect but yeah that was a joke AJ but you try and you
00:25:06try and do your best like I said to put your team in a position to win and but
00:25:12you learn from it you definitely learn from from experience that's for sure I
00:25:15was thinking about a follow-up but I guess I'll let that speak for itself
00:25:19thanks sure yeah
00:25:23yes good good afternoon coach George Radney challenging community news how
00:25:28you doing on this sunny afternoon I'm doing great George how are you great
00:25:33great good great to see the sunshine great to see a win yesterday and the
00:25:37question what is it about Josh Allen this year what did he do it in the
00:25:41offseason to really not make a concerted effort not to turn the ball
00:25:46over down there at the goal line in their last series look like he was
00:25:50ready to flip to try to flip it to cook when he when he ran that draw play in
00:25:54the in that big number 90 just swallowed him up there I mean he just kind of
00:25:58disappeared in there into that guy's jersey and look like he thought about it
00:26:02and then he just decided that this cuff the ball and hold on to it well in the
00:26:07old days I think he would have flipped that ball out maybe yeah your guess is
00:26:12as good as mine George right you never know back in the day so it's uh it's
00:26:17just as part of his growth part of his maturity development however you want to
00:26:22you know phrase it and and I'm extremely proud of him for it it's just it just to
00:26:28me is a great sign of of his development all right and last point I didn't catch
00:26:35the injury report but is it what kind of is it like a 50-50 chance Mike we
00:26:39might see Micah Hyde next week probably zero to one I'll give him 1% to 99% that
00:26:46will see him 1% never say never say okay great coach thanks for your time and
00:26:53good luck this coming Sunday all right George thank you have a great week
00:26:56that's all we have for you today coach thank you all right thank you guys see
00:27:00you
00:27:05you
00:27:35you
00:28:05you
00:28:35you
00:29:05you
00:29:35you
00:30:05you
00:30:35you
00:31:05you
00:31:35you
00:32:05you
00:32:35you
00:33:05you
00:33:35you
00:34:05you
00:34:36you
00:34:48hey coach can you hear me okay yep good to go awesome if you're ready we'll go
00:34:53ahead and get started with questions Alex we'll have our first question yeah
00:35:02hey Joe you didn't ask a lot of Josh yesterday the running game really got
00:35:07going early was that the game plan going in was that just kind of how things
00:35:12developed what's your perspective on that yeah I think I mean you're looking
00:35:19at you're going to every game sometimes with with an idea how you think the game
00:35:23is gonna go or what it's gonna take to win and you know I believe that we have
00:35:26an offense that you know we're able to win in different ways and sometimes
00:35:31getting the feel of how the game's going you know might dictate you know
00:35:34potentially changes or sticking to something or you know and we have that
00:35:38ability to make the adjustments and you know I felt yesterday the way that the
00:35:43game was going that you know I felt you know controlling the football and being
00:35:47able to run the ball was giving us you know opportunity and that was nothing
00:35:52nothing against Josh or anything like that we obviously had some opportunities
00:35:55in the past game and you know we got behind the chains a little bit in the
00:35:57second half that made life a lot harder you know for us but specifically in the
00:36:01first half it felt like you know controlling the line of scrimmage was in
00:36:04our favor yesterday you get down close there at the end you
00:36:09come away with the field goal you're unable to punch it in can you reflect on
00:36:13that sequence what disallowed you from punching it in the end zone yes you know
00:36:18so obviously you get the you know get a good run on you get a good run on second
00:36:24down get down to the two-yard line and you know then you're sitting there
00:36:27saying okay you're you're hoping you got two downs and you're expecting to have
00:36:30two downs right there that you're expecting you're gonna gain yards one
00:36:34way or the other and you know hindsight's always you can always go
00:36:37back and say hey what are what are better play calls up and get to and the
00:36:40one that we ran there was you know similar to the touchdown earlier in the
00:36:43game and you know and us just and the guy guy that you know we thought would
00:36:48be covering Mac you know something in that situation didn't cover him and you
00:36:52know his unblocked player and you know so there's always hindsight you know I
00:36:56love love to be able to you know at least get a yard with the mindset of a
00:37:00then we can you know get all inside the one and you know go go finish the game
00:37:05on our terms and so yeah that was I was definitely one after the game that you
00:37:10know sometimes you can't always judge the quality of a decision by the result
00:37:12but you know you want to get to that situation so we're not sitting there you
00:37:16know you know just watching and watching you know them on the field and so yeah
00:37:22wish I can get that one back for sure walking around the field before the game
00:37:27yesterday shorts and a t-shirt that's something you'll do again or that just a
00:37:31one-time thing you think I'm what you guys should know by now I'm pretty
00:37:36consistent I don't I don't like to think about what I'm gonna wear I like to
00:37:41spend as a least amount of time as possible with that so I'll have a black
00:37:45t-shirt on black shorts probably again this week as I am right now
00:37:51thanks appreciate you
00:37:58that we can't hear you
00:38:03sure you got me now good brother sorry about that the black the black t-shirt
00:38:09and shorts that looks very cold I'm surprised you able to pull that off all
00:38:13these weeks in a row what is what is the thing behind that I have no I have no
00:38:18clue it's I don't really think about the weather I'm also you got to
00:38:23understand I'm also in the box the whole game so if I'm outside I'm only outside
00:38:26for for a few minutes so it's never an issue for me it's different when I'm on
00:38:30the side when you're on the sidelines you're sitting outside the whole day you
00:38:34know so for me it feels a little good for there are those 15 minutes are you
00:38:39talk about wanting to reconnect or maybe connect more with players in this this
00:38:43offensive coordinator stint for you when you last two weeks you guys have put
00:38:48season-high rush totals on two really good run defenses when you can pound it
00:38:52the way you can how fun how satisfying is it to walk in that offensive line
00:38:56room to walk in that offensive room knowing that you as an offense are
00:38:59dictating physically over and over and over especially this part of the season
00:39:03yeah no it's it's um you know it's it's it's playoff football right and it's
00:39:09cold outside you know the weather the weather is not the weather in the field
00:39:15sometimes aren't on just just great terms with the footing and you need to
00:39:18be able to you know be a physical football team and be able to stop just a
00:39:21white scrimmage and you know and I'm fortunate for the offensive line that we
00:39:26have that you know the trust that I have in them and our backs understanding and
00:39:30and you know it always points to the offensive line but you know the wide
00:39:34receivers and the tight ends that we have in the run game that are doing all
00:39:36the self unselfish work and you know it's it's critical and look locker room
00:39:41halftime I go down and you know hey guys what do you want right now like how
00:39:45are you guys feeling how you're approaching it and you know them being
00:39:48honest with me and again whether it works or not you know it's it's the
00:39:52confidence and the trust in them that you know they're out there doing it and
00:39:55they're feeling it and they're understanding how the blocks are
00:39:58approaching it and you know that communication that trust in them like
00:40:01we've gotten to this point because of our guys because of our players and the
00:40:05trust that we have in them and that can't change I know it's not the
00:40:09priority but you're right this second but what was your takeaway from your
00:40:12first experience kind of being deep in the head coach interview merry-go-round
00:40:15the end of last week well whether it's fortunate or unfortunate I you know this
00:40:21is the third go-around for me you know I was you know I was getting in Carolina
00:40:28a little bit and yeah you know it's you know what you're walking into this time
00:40:32right so there's not really any pepper you know preparing or spending any other
00:40:35thought around and I know it sounds like a hey that's impossible but it's
00:40:40really easy to just kind of just kind of walk in with with no expectations but no
00:40:45preparation and just be yourself and the rest takes care of itself and I wasn't
00:40:49gonna allow myself to take anything away from the game planning so like I said
00:40:53last week my wife and my son might have sold me a little less but nothing was
00:40:57different from a works perspective appreciate your thanks thank you
00:41:02hey Joe John world have a big picture question and knowing that you're
00:41:09relatively young at 35 when it comes to quarterbacks in your time and how have
00:41:17you seen that position develop in being in we're seeing for mobile quarterbacks
00:41:25in this final four and yeah and we've you you've been familiar with true breeze
00:41:32who wasn't really considered a mobile guy but how have you seen that
00:41:36progression happen yeah you know I think I think anytime you have the ability to
00:41:43to use your legs you know that is an added element that makes life a lot
00:41:48harder for defenses you know so some of that athleticism that you know wasn't
00:41:54maybe necessarily you know the top top quarterbacks you know from the past that
00:41:58are now you see in you know all these guys that are able to use their legs and
00:42:02it makes defense a little harder to defend I say that but you know you look
00:42:06at you know the Drew Brees the Tom Brady the Peyton Manning like they might not
00:42:09have been the most athletic but their athleticism in the pocket and the
00:42:12footwork in the pocket and your feet was everything and so to me that's the
00:42:16biggest thing is seeing you know the athleticism but seeing you know these
00:42:20quarterbacks their comfort level in the pocket and not just being a hey if it's
00:42:24not there I'm running but the comfort level being able to work through
00:42:27progressions you know I think I think the game of football is in such a good
00:42:30spot but the quarterbacks that we have you know it was evident yesterday
00:42:34looking at those two quarterbacks that we have you know I was obviously we're
00:42:38all selfish to watch you know the Tom Brady's the Peyton Manning's the Drew
00:42:42Brees all those guys for so many years and Aaron Rodgers still going but you
00:42:46know football is gonna be good for the next 20 and it's a from a fan of
00:42:49football you know it's we're in good shape. I love the fact that you said
00:42:54said as a fan of football we're in good shape because remove yourself from being
00:42:58the Bills offensive coordinator and how much as a fan you would want to see you
00:43:04want to see you know and they're not playing against each other but Josh
00:43:08versus Patrick. Yeah I mean just similar to last week right you're you know when
00:43:14the the games when the best quarterbacks are playing in the biggest games it's
00:43:18it's you know it's always it's always a it's always fun right you want to be
00:43:22tuned in and see the best against the best and yeah you know the the
00:43:26quarterbacks aren't you know necessarily you know on the field together going at
00:43:29it but your teams are and you know but when you're at this point right it's the
00:43:34best teams going against the best teams and it's not just about the one player
00:43:38and you know for us to get to where we need to get to it's not all about Josh
00:43:41and it hasn't been all year and you know he's obviously our best player he's our
00:43:45most valuable player but you know it's our whole football team that's gotten
00:43:49to this point. I get that Joe thank you so much. I appreciate you.
00:43:55Hey Joe I want to ask about Amari Cooper. Talk to him a little bit to Sean
00:44:01about him and you know I know fans see the snap count yesterday and you know
00:44:07expectations versus matchups all those kinds of things. Has it been challenging
00:44:11at all to integrate Amari consistently into the offense or into the game plan?
00:44:16No I think you know no I think Amari's doing a great job at you know
00:44:23being in the room and embodying you know that selfless mindset and you know you I
00:44:30say it every time just you know watch out on the field where the DB's are
00:44:33when Amari's in the game and you know obviously I'd love to be able to you
00:44:37know we didn't we didn't pass the ball a lot yesterday and you know I think
00:44:42sometimes that's a product of it and you know I think you know Coop's doing a
00:44:46great job for us you know he's he's he's part of our group that makes our
00:44:51group kind of who they are and he's leading it and he doesn't care about the
00:44:54stats right now and he knows that him being on the field helps our offense you
00:44:58know I'd love to be able to get more opportunities just like all the guys and
00:45:01be able to get us going you know and just hasn't been how the games kind of
00:45:05played out the last two weeks. On that third down screen thank you to Dawson
00:45:12Knox. When you have a play like that and it doesn't have success how do you
00:45:17balance that with maybe going back to that in the future and how why didn't
00:45:23that play kind of have a little bit more success? Yeah I mean I don't you know
00:45:28like I'm gonna trust Josh. Josh you know we call a play that has you know might
00:45:31have an alert on and we have plenty of blitz hero answers and you know I'm
00:45:35always gonna trust him and we have regardless of who's in the game you know
00:45:39I think some of it sometimes is that it's not necessarily you know is looking
00:45:44at so the why that it didn't work and you know we got to clean up some of our
00:45:48technique on the play and you know but you know you can't second-guess every
00:45:53call and it's it's you know it's I hate the results of it you know when you got
00:45:58a blitz hero you know opportunity obviously can got us in a better a
00:46:01better play but regardless of throwing it to Dawson or whoever it is you know
00:46:06I'm gonna trust all our guys on the field and clearly Josh did as well to be
00:46:09able to get to get us to an opportunity to be able to get to a potential either
00:46:13a get the first down or get to a fourth fourth and manageable to be able to go
00:46:16for it like we kind of were yesterday and so obviously didn't work out you
00:46:20know and so usually when they don't you want to call back but I think for us a
00:46:24lot of it is just cleaning up the execution with it and you know just
00:46:27making sure we got the right alerts and you know and checks on some of those
00:46:30plays. I mean not to go too deep dive here but how much are you and Josh
00:46:34talking week to week about his process in those moments when maybe he has to
00:46:39check something and like what putting things in his memory bank for for
00:46:43improvements on the next time you see something similar? Well some some of it
00:46:47is is play-specific like there's you know there's there's plays that we have
00:46:51alerts where you know it's it's already hey Josh this is kind of what we're
00:46:55doing and you know and there's some where Josh you know he's he's an elite
00:47:00quarterback and kind of can see it and and get to a play you know and gets his
00:47:04best play and usually that works as well so you know I'm always going to
00:47:08trust him and he's he's doing such a great job this year just playing within
00:47:12the system you know not caring about who's getting the ball or or how it's
00:47:16playing out and you don't want to play like that doesn't work you know to me
00:47:20obviously I have to look at myself and figure out the why and we got to make
00:47:23sure that the technique and that the detail to it you know is is cleaned up
00:47:27and making sure if we get in that situation again you know what we would
00:47:31do differently. Thanks y'all, appreciate it.
00:47:37Coach Brady, Mookie Hawkins. Great win.
00:47:44Hello?
00:47:50How are things going coach? I'm good bud, how you doing? I'm good man I see you got a
00:47:59new hat, everybody eats, where can I get one? That's a great question player in the
00:48:05player in our team made them so that'll be a great question it's above my
00:48:10grade. I just got your own little individual merch department going on
00:48:15with the guys there. The guys if the guys give me a hat I'm gonna rock it that's
00:48:19for sure I'm all about my guys. Absolutely I definitely need one but
00:48:23coach you know you dive into a double-dip situation almost expanding
00:48:28that lead there anywhere between 14 points to 18 points to make it a
00:48:32two-possession game. What went into you know not really developing rhythm to
00:48:36come out in the second half there what went into that? Yeah you know that's the
00:48:40third quarter I had a great opportunity you know I mean that drive at the end
00:48:43the half was critical and be able to get points man and the confidence was high
00:48:47you know and you know making some of the adjustments you know obviously you know
00:48:52you start behind the chains on the first play and you know I know the second
00:48:56down play is a play Josh will definitely you know naturally want back
00:48:58you know the catch to him and Dalton and you know Dalton making that play and
00:49:02hopefully be able to extend the drive but you know you can't go three and out
00:49:06in those situations so I got a better job of putting us in a position and then
00:49:10we get the ball back on the second you know the second drive and you know we
00:49:13get a first down we had some opportunities in space and you know
00:49:16going back to that you know the last question the third down to the screen so
00:49:19you know you know that's that's a big thing we allowed them to come get back
00:49:23into the game and you know our defense was playing such good football and you
00:49:26know we had an opportunity right there to make them one-dimensional I put
00:49:29points on the board at the third quarter now I'm proud of the way our guys didn't
00:49:32blink and having opportunities I know we would like touchdowns and some of those
00:49:35guys but being able to take time off the clock and get points and in the fourth
00:49:39quarter was critical and then finishing on our terms but man it didn't have to
00:49:43get to that and so I'm obviously I'm proud of our guys but you know as always
00:49:47just stuff for us to clean up right and it's crazy because during the course of
00:49:51the regular season you don't see so many momentum shifts as you would see
00:49:55in playoff atmosphere and you know with that being said coach like how much does
00:50:00that give you to note to play with play with a little bit more caution you know
00:50:05in the playoff set especially when maintaining the lead how does it give
00:50:09you that caution when calling plays no I don't to me when you come in at
00:50:14halftime it's a zero zero ball game and you know you're you're not thinking any
00:50:18differently and you know we know at this point in the in this point every
00:50:24offense can put up points you know as evident last week you know with us and
00:50:29you know against Denver that you know you're gonna have to bring it for four
00:50:32quarters and so if you ever take your foot off the brake you know there's an
00:50:35opportunity for the for the team to get back in it and I don't think we didn't
00:50:39do that it wasn't it you know we just didn't we didn't convert first downs and
00:50:43it's hard to be able to you know become efficient and stay you know stay in a
00:50:47rhythm you know when you're not converting first downs and you know so
00:50:50you know that's a that's a big thing coming out of halftime which we've done
00:50:52a good job this year so I'm not gonna overreact I'm not gonna look in the
00:50:55small mirror but you know to get to where ultimately I want to get to you
00:50:58know we have to be able to play four quarters this week you know on the road
00:51:01and so it's great opportunity for us being in those four quarters man you got
00:51:05four quarters to live it's a plus game situation coach are you prepared to open
00:51:10up this book if need be yeah it's uh this is this is why this is why we we
00:51:16play the game is why we coach and you know it's a it's a great opportunity
00:51:20it's gonna be an incredible environment you know go on the road it's not going
00:51:23to be easy but you know nothing's been easy this year and so I know our guys
00:51:26will be excited for it and you know there's only four teams playing right
00:51:30now and you know I'm grateful for it but I'm more grateful who I get to do it
00:51:34with and so it's gonna be a it's gonna be a great week for us absolutely coach
00:51:39have a great week good luck thank you
00:51:43hey Joe how are you good in the past before you started calling plays there
00:51:51was kind of the idea that you guys had a lot of different things you could do in
00:51:55the run but it seems like this year you've kind of found a sweet spot of
00:51:59what you really like to do how much have you kind of gone through that over the
00:52:03last year and just this is what we do well and this is kind of where we want
00:52:07to live in the running game yeah I think I think you know you're trying to
00:52:13do that both running game and pass game and find out what you know not
00:52:16necessarily what what would I either believe in or the coaches believe in but
00:52:19what our guys can execute and you know with different skill sets and your
00:52:23offense is gonna have to continue to evolve as the season goes both run game
00:52:27and pass game you know in season to season and then once you develop that
00:52:31run game making sure that you have the auxiliary runs or they you know the
00:52:35runs that you know might look like something that you're really good at so
00:52:38your you know teams can't just you know you can't become predictable and so
00:52:42that's something that we have to continue to grow with and you know
00:52:45expand on you know to be able to continue to run the football is make it
00:52:49as two-dimensional as possible how much is that kind of evolved over the course
00:52:54of the season where now we're kind of at a point where you know there's clearly
00:52:59certain things that you like to do and you can do them out of a bunch of
00:53:01different formations yeah I think you're at you're kind of at the point
00:53:06of the year where you know all the teams kind of know each other and you know
00:53:09it's and so you're having to making sure that you're not doing you're not doing
00:53:13too much to put too much on your guys plate and you want to make sure you can
00:53:17allow them to play but you also got to make sure that you're giving them a
00:53:19chance to and so there's that fine line of making sure you try to make it look a
00:53:24little different you know to the defense but it's the same for us and you know
00:53:28that's you know we I'm fortunate we have an incredible coaching staff both
00:53:32in the run game in the past game to you know to help me kind of put together a
00:53:35you know a game plan where you know we can kind of do the same things but they
00:53:40can kind of look a little differently Kansas City's kind of been the one team
00:53:44you've not always had a tremendous amount of success running the ball
00:53:47against what makes them that scheme and that front a little more challenging to
00:53:52kind of get some sustained success in the running game yeah I mean they the
00:53:58start they have the best player in football right best defensive player in
00:54:01football Chris Jones I mean he is as dynamic as they come and you know they
00:54:07have a they have 11 guys that play together as a defense and all understand
00:54:11their scheme and they're extremely well coached and you know when you got really
00:54:16good players and really good scheme and coaching you know it makes it really
00:54:19hard and so it's gonna be a great opportunity great challenge for us this
00:54:22thanks I don't know if you want to answer this but who made the hats who
00:54:31did you get the hat from yeah that's that's about that's about okay I thought
00:54:37I would try and then I was curious with James we've obviously talked so much
00:54:41about his production this year and everything the jump he's kind of taken
00:54:45this season is there anything you've seen from him like behind the scenes in
00:54:48the meeting rooms that's really stood out to do you feel like has helped take
00:54:52that next step like is what are we not seeing do you feel like has helped him
00:54:55do what he's doing this year are you talking about what Jimbo yeah yeah so I
00:55:00mean it's been so I mean seeing his growth as a football player this year's
00:55:06I mean it is it's been incredible he's in his just comfort level and
00:55:11communicating shoot me texts you know his confidence the way that he's playing
00:55:16the style that he's playing understanding the why behind what we're
00:55:21doing asking the questions you know talking with his offense line I mean
00:55:25they're running my position is not easy I know sometimes people think it's like
00:55:29hey you know you just go get the football and just you know on the open
00:55:32hole but you know while you're back there you're having to see you know what
00:55:35fronts they're in well as the defense are playing it always it's gonna be a
00:55:38blitz house this ball gonna hit you know and he's just continuing to grow and
00:55:42that takes time and it's hard but he's playing with confidence and he's huge
00:55:46reason why we're playing this week don't necessarily consider him like the
00:55:50chattiest guy in the locker room like so when you say like he's communicating
00:55:55more is that like something you felt like he just had to learn like as a like
00:55:59or how have you kind of maybe seen that part grow well I think sometimes there's
00:56:03there's a comfort level right and sometimes there's topics that you feel
00:56:08comfortable talking about and you know we have a lot of guys on our team that
00:56:13might not might not talk a lot but when you talk they talk about football they
00:56:16talk a lot and at least or when they do communicate like when Jimbo's
00:56:20communicating you know there's purpose and there's reason and if he's asking
00:56:23the question you know it's obviously important to him but it's been it's been
00:56:28a lot of fun to see his growth and you know there's a reason he's you know one
00:56:31of the best running backs in football thanks Joe thank you
00:56:37hey Joe I know you just touched on the Kansas City defense some a couple
00:56:41questions ago but where do you see they've changed the most since y'all
00:56:44played them back in November um you know I'd be lying I think it's it's kind of
00:56:49early to tell right you know we're you know we're in the early stages of the
00:56:53week kind of going with it but one thing I know is they're very consistent they
00:56:57haven't had any drop-off right and just looking statistically at kind of how
00:57:01they're playing you know you don't you don't lose one game all year by kind of
00:57:06riding the wave and like I said they're extremely well coached that's evident on
00:57:10on paper but really kind of early in the week for me to be able to give you a
00:57:14definite answer to flip the question though how do you feel that you have
00:57:18changed the most throughout this season or grown the most great question um I
00:57:24think I think I kind of grow with with our offense um you know and just
00:57:31understanding that you know everybody always talks about identity and
00:57:35philosophy and all that and I think there's just so much power and to
00:57:38continuing to find you know whatever that style is that it's gonna take to
00:57:43win the football game and so you know I try to do I'm not I'm not perfect I know
00:57:49I obviously I struggle I make mistakes but I really try to be intentional about
00:57:54each week trying to figure that out and trying to figure out you know as the
00:57:58game's going kind of what the guys need and you know what Josh needs and how the
00:58:02game has to play and it might not always be pretty and but you know all I'm all I
00:58:07care about is just trying to find one more point than them and so a lot of my
00:58:10growth is just you know just the communication and understanding of our
00:58:14guys and kind of direction that they want to go and we need to go and you
00:58:18know I'm just grateful to be with them when you talk about making mistakes and
00:58:23then trying to move past those I know when we talked to you back in like
00:58:25training camp you were kind of like this is the time for guys to make mistakes
00:58:29because they learn so much about them what about now how do you treat guys if
00:58:33they're you know if something someone slips up during practice now how do you
00:58:37approach it versus like in August yeah I think you try to be consistent right
00:58:41there's there's there's different levels of mistakes right there's there is there
00:58:44are you make are we making the same mistakes twice if we're are we going on
00:58:48in practice and we're experimenting with something and hey it's a different look
00:58:50and we mess it up like that's okay I still want guys to be scared to make
00:58:54mistakes like I tell them all the time like I'm not gonna be perfect in the
00:58:57game I can't be I'm gonna make a mistake like go out there and play free knowing
00:59:00that you make a mistake hey what's that memory can you are you able to move on
00:59:04to the Josh Allen camp doesn't play a perfect game every game but he does an
00:59:08incredible job of hey you might not have had a perfect play but hey you can reset
00:59:12and be able to lead the guys the next day the next play and so yeah our guys
00:59:16weren't we're not gonna be perfect this week I can't expect him to be perfect
00:59:19and but how can we approach it and what's our mindset to be able to flip
00:59:23the switch and okay now I'm gonna be present for this next play and so
00:59:26nothing's changed you know since training camp you know the only thing
00:59:31to be different is if it's something that's consistently happening but you
00:59:35know hopefully we're not putting those players in those positions if it's
00:59:37consistently happening awesome thank you Joe so we have for you today coach
00:59:43thanks for your time
00:59:56you
01:00:26you
01:00:39hey coach can you hear me okay gotcha awesome if you're ready we'll go ahead
01:00:43and get started questions Alex will have our first question yeah hey Bobby after
01:00:53the game yesterday what were your conversations like with Matt Milano
01:00:56obviously a good performance by your defense you shut down Derrick Henry for
01:01:01much of the game what were your conversations like with Matt Milano did
01:01:04he seem to be in good spirits I'll keep those conversations between us
01:01:10appreciate you asking no worries and you used three linebackers quite often
01:01:17yesterday obviously the statistics kind of speak for themselves but could you
01:01:28Alex right you know breaking up really bad on what you saw from that use of how
01:01:36you saw it working leading it you have to repeat me now I got you now but you
01:01:42have to repeat that whole question all right use three linebackers quite a bit
01:01:46yesterday obviously the stats kind of speak for themselves in terms of the
01:01:50success that you guys saw but could you give us your perspective on how you saw
01:01:54that unit work together yeah I mean you know there were moments in there where
01:02:01we were working together really good and obviously there were some moments where
01:02:04you know we can be better and not only them but I can put them in a better
01:02:08position at times but they knew what the plan was it was pretty specific and they
01:02:16did a good job execute and how about Damar Hamlin just his performance
01:02:22throughout the season some ups and downs but it seemed like yesterday was kind of
01:02:27a shining moment for him yeah I mean I you could you know I know what year was
01:02:32it 2022 or something like that he started a bunch of games but this is his
01:02:37first time as a full-time starter and you know like you said any player that's
01:02:43gonna be a first-time starters gonna have a lot of ups and downs that's the
01:02:47way it goes you know you learn through success but the best teacher is failure
01:02:53you know and I think he's done a really good job as far as being a consistent
01:03:01performer on our defense all right thanks for bearing with my connection
01:03:06issues and you got it no problem hey Bobby I'm to start by following up
01:03:12on tomorrow just what did you see on the fumble play between him and bond
01:03:16what did you see out of each of them on that yeah it's funny it's really good
01:03:21technique we talked about mobile quarterback fundamentals and then you
01:03:26know part of our takeaway circuit which you guys might actually see you know
01:03:31while you're at practice is how we recover fumbles so just you know it's
01:03:39cool to see some of those things come to life in a game and then what did you
01:03:44think of Cole Bishop and how he did once he came in yeah he did a solid job he
01:03:48did a solid job there you know it's tough man it's tough like you know
01:03:52you're playing special teams you're staying on the sideline watching the
01:03:54game trying to stay into it you know but being out there with the speed of what's
01:03:59going on and those type of things is is uh you know you get thrown right to the
01:04:03fire so he did a nice job stepping in there's a couple things he can do better
01:04:07as they all can including myself and you know it was it was good to see all
01:04:12the experience he's getting is tremendous and then this is a little off
01:04:17topic but I was wondering just you know you know the rest of the staff so well
01:04:21how have you seen Joe Brady grow this year how have I seen Joe Brady you know
01:04:30I mean I don't think that's fair for me to say you know I could tell you what
01:04:38what I really like about Joe and Joe is a charismatic guy he's always upbeat you
01:04:46know he's he brings a lot of positive energy which is which is a really good
01:04:52thing to have and you know I mean he took over last year's the offensive
01:04:57coordinator I was a linebacker coach I was I was on the field he was in the box
01:05:02you know but it's been great to work with him I think he does a tremendous
01:05:07job he's you know he's always willing to help me if I got questions for him you
01:05:14know and he wants what's best for the team truly a great teammate and you know
01:05:20it's cool to see the success he's having and you know heck of a heck of a guy
01:05:24first and foremost awesome I know that was off topic so I appreciate it thank
01:05:29you you got it hey Bobby John Warrell hey
01:05:34John um Terrell Bernard and I know there's there's that whole narrative
01:05:40last week about guys being small and all this stuff but I don't want to I don't
01:05:44want to entirely focus on that but when you identified Terrell so early in his
01:05:49career as being a player who is who's capable of taking over that job and his
01:05:56leadership skills what was it that you and and Sean and the defensive staff saw
01:06:01in Terrell yeah was there a narrative out there that we were small yeah
01:06:06barely I died somebody said somebody somebody they said no I mean football
01:06:16players or football players you know you could chase size and speed and I
01:06:20think I've talked about this a long time ago you could chase size speed all those
01:06:25things but when it comes down to it we talked about it all the time much like
01:06:28the NBA it's a make-or-miss league either make a plays or you're not you
01:06:32know and he's you know I would just say when it comes to the intangibles
01:06:40Terrell's the total package and it's interesting I called him Terrell that
01:06:45was awkward because we call him TB but TB is a total package seen a lot of
01:06:51growth item as a rookie really liked him coming out of Baylor and I knew a lot of
01:06:58what people wouldn't like him for the things that in my mind don't matter as
01:07:02much in football and we're lucky to have him I think his teammates would tell you
01:07:07we're lucky to have him and you know there's a lot of room for growth with
01:07:11him and he's there's a lot of meat on the bone still for him so it's been a
01:07:17pleasure to be around on these last three years and I love that the
01:07:21stubbornness to go to know with you to go with your gut knowing that this guy
01:07:25can succeed that can't be easy a lot of times knowing that there's gonna be some
01:07:28pushback how did you guys arrive at that no I mean I don't think I think we think
01:07:35a lot of like here we in total so when you talk about acquiring players Brandon
01:07:42Sean and you know the coordinators in the position coach I think we see things
01:07:46a lot of like and we don't always but I think that's what's unique about this
01:07:50place and I appreciate you calling it stubborn because that's what my wife
01:07:54would call it thanks so much Bobby you got
01:08:02what's up Bobby how are you good how are you I'm good um obviously uncertainty
01:08:07around Christian but if a next man up is required this weekend I want to ask you
01:08:13like where where are things with Kaier like I know it's been kind of like an
01:08:17up-and-down season I think he's in year three what have you seen from him and if
01:08:21he were to get thrust into that kind of situation where's your level of
01:08:25confidence and belief in him yeah I got belief in all the players on the roster
01:08:29you know I mean anytime anytime a player goes down you can look at it as you
01:08:34wanted two things at any position it's you can look at as a detriment an
01:08:37opportunity for somebody else and that's the way we approach it as an
01:08:40opportunity for somebody else the standards the standard I think you've
01:08:44heard that plenty of times here you know and then there's ebbs and flows to this
01:08:50to the whole NFL whether you talk about an individual season whatever it may be
01:08:55and you know the expectation doesn't change from player to player on a roster
01:09:00and that's you know talking about Brandon and Sean you know that's you
01:09:05know the way they build the roster in such a tremendous way is is you know
01:09:10that way you know and you know they they let the coaches have a lot of say and
01:09:16they let the coaches have a lot of say and they let the coaches have a lot of
01:09:20that way you know and you know they they let the coaches have a lot of say and
01:09:26you know in the roster also which is which I think is great leadership and
01:09:31then that creates ownership amongst the coaches so you better have them ready to go
01:09:36yeah on the Chiefs I mean just sitting around watching that game the other day
01:09:42it it's amazing what Travis Kelsey is still able to do how many different
01:09:47challenges does he still present and how urgent do you guys have to be attentive to
01:09:55you know dealing with him yeah I think there's technically 120 by 53 and a third
01:10:03problems because he'll end up anywhere on the field you know so
01:10:07he's gonna go down as the greatest tight end to ever play the game you know and the thing
01:10:14that's unique about him is no matter what the regular season looked like he shows up in the
01:10:18playoffs and you know that's that's really really you know you talk about the greatest
01:10:24competitors you know in any sport that's what they tend to do as they show up in the biggest
01:10:31that's what they tend to do as they show up in the biggest moments and he does that
01:10:37so we're going to try to put a plan together as best we can to make sure that we at least
01:10:42keep him contained the little details of a game like yesterday sometimes slip through the cracks
01:10:48but that Matt Milano tip pass on the two-point conversion I mean from your perspective as a
01:10:54coach that probably looks for like teach tape all the time can you take me through what you saw
01:10:59going back on film on that play and just the details of his rep on that play yeah we were
01:11:05in a certain coverage their tight end was doing a good job of deterring I'll use the word deterring
01:11:15other coverage players are responsible for other people not allowing them to cover them if that
01:11:22makes sense and so we're working through some things in coverage and we always talk about
01:11:28getting our hands up as a pass rusher Matt happened to be a rusher on that play and you know
01:11:34just just really executed what we talked about thanks Bobby appreciate it yeah
01:11:47Coach Babbage, Mookie Hawkins, Rufflesports and Eddy good win yesterday
01:11:51thank you health sciences yeah yeah you know you know you know how to match that championship energy
01:11:57you know yeah a little bit of gloating yeah yeah absolutely five out of the past six years
01:12:06coach that's that's what we're counting who's no we're not counting man but you know discipline
01:12:11football yesterday Ed Oliver was a man possessing that first half three turnovers you know make our
01:12:16guys out there takeaways yeah takeaways takeaways takeaways takeaway that's right take them away
01:12:22but coach how does Lamar Jackson makes it difficult to have
01:12:26good rushing coverage balance how difficult does that guy makes it
01:12:33he I mean he is he is really really really really really really good at football
01:12:41hurt you with his legs he can hurt you with his arm which I think everybody knows that's where
01:12:46you know the progression of him and it's credit to him how much he's evolved as a passer
01:12:52I think he's more on time I think he's more in rhythm you know so we were dealing with a lot of
01:12:57stuff yesterday so credit to our guys you know we knew he was going to make some plays that's
01:13:02who he is he does it every game you know and and our guys didn't flinch we kept lining up kept
01:13:09playing trying to follow the plan as best as possible but he's a tremendous player he's
01:13:13really hard to go against really hard to plan for you know and he's prob
01:13:20I did an excellent excellent job on making sure everybody was accounted for yesterday
01:13:24how would you be able to maintain that that that type of you know structure
01:13:28versus a tough Kansas City team with just four quarters to live coach pray hard
01:13:34pray hard no I mean we just gotta we just gotta come up with a plan we gotta sit down as a staff
01:13:39come up with a plan you know this is the Kansas City Chiefs and we know what they've done in the
01:13:45postseason we know what they've done to us in the postseason you know they've sent us home
01:13:50multiple times so we got to do a great job of you know putting together the best plan and not
01:13:57only to handle all the weapons that they do have because they have a tremendous amount of weapons
01:14:01but one that our guys are able to execute absolutely coach last question here what did
01:14:08you text the football gods after that two point when I text the football gods yeah
01:14:17hey I was just worried about what was coming next we had to recover the onside gig I was getting
01:14:23our end of game plays ready so I didn't have time to think about it and honestly where I was sitting
01:14:27I had to hear someone say you know that it was incomplete I didn't even see the result
01:14:33yeah yeah it was a crazy chain of events but it's always good to see that the football
01:14:37gods is definitely you know on the home team side for yeah no time for texting I'm not allowed to
01:14:42have a phone you're not allowed to do that National Football League don't try to do that
01:14:45move you don't get me in trouble I'm sorry about that all you will push up good luck
01:14:53good luck thank you
01:14:57hey Bobby what type of mindset did your defense have in the first half really limiting
01:15:02the Ravens on the ground to start the game
01:15:06uh they had a mindset that we said at the beginning of the week
01:15:12we'll keep that between us but it was a good one when it comes to facing the Chiefs you spoke about
01:15:18Travis Kelsey there's also Xavier Worthy who Patrick Mahomes has leaned on quite a bit
01:15:24uh scored a touchdown yesterday what sets him apart from other receivers why is he tough to
01:15:29play against yeah I mean he's he uh for a young guy you know he's fitting into their system really
01:15:35well obviously he's got tremendous speed um he's got tremendous rack um and uh you know that that
01:15:43stuff creates a problem um he's pretty tough I mean T-Rab put a pretty put a pretty pretty big
01:15:48hit on him last time we were playing and he held on to the ball so there's a lot of things that he
01:15:52brings to the table that um that you know are gonna be a problem for a long time thanks Bobby
01:15:59you got it
01:16:04yes good afternoon uh good afternoon coach George Radney Challenger Community News how
01:16:08are you doing this afternoon good George how are you doing all right uh question for you
01:16:13why isn't that more teams and specifically why don't they just bump uh Kelsey at the line you
01:16:19have that five yard uh border where you can hit the receiver from the line how come more teams
01:16:24don't just rough him up at the line of scrimmage um George you would love to every play um but
01:16:31you know you have to fit the run there's certain run fits that you got to have there's certain
01:16:36you know um different coverages that call for different things so you know it's a little bit
01:16:42more complicated just to sign in a guy to bump him every play but you know you definitely you
01:16:47know you definitely need to have awareness of where he's at all the time yeah what is it about
01:16:51him that he's able to find that little area where he can always seem to drop in and look
01:16:55like he's by himself and in the in the defensive backs are a few yards off of him yeah he's really
01:17:01a good player he has a really good feel for the game and he understands coverage and you know
01:17:05clearly he's a smart player um and has a really good feel for the game as I said okay great and
01:17:12last but not least on the back end uh with with uh Demarcus Ingram and as well as possibly uh
01:17:19knows Kareem uh Jackson might be uh if you got guys that can you can bring up to uh to help out
01:17:25if Christian Benford is not available what about if Christian Benford is not available this week
01:17:34are you asking about what are you I'm asking about Kareem Jackson let me just go directly
01:17:39to Kareem Jackson coming off of the practice squad uh how's he been doing good good he's
01:17:46doing he's doing well he's a great asset to our team yeah a veteran guy a guy that's been around
01:17:51as well that's a seasoned veteran that could also uh uh probably help out in in critical
01:17:55situations yeah he's he's helped out all year he's helped out all year um you know obviously
01:18:01he hasn't been on the field uh as much as probably he'd like to but uh he's been he's
01:18:06been a great mentor to the guys and obviously he's played a lot of football all right great
01:18:12thank you very much and good luck this coming Sunday you got it George thank you
01:18:15that's all we have for you today coach thank you for your time all right thank you
