(Adnkronos) - “McDonald's Italia ha iniziato nel 2008 a valorizzare i prodotti Igp e Dop e da allora siamo riusciti a proporre all’interno delle nostre ricette ben 22 ingredienti, per un totale di oltre 8mila tonnellate di materie prime utilizzate”. Così Giorgia Favaro, amministratrice delegata di McDonald’s Italia, alla presentazione dell’edizione 2025 di My Selection di McDonald’s, le cui ricette selezionate da Joe Bastianich rinnovano l’impegno di McDonald’s per valorizzare il Made in Italy di qualità e le eccellenze della filiera agroalimentare italiana.

00:00Today we present the 7th edition of My Selection, which sees a very close relationship with the Italian agri-food industry.
00:11McDonald's started in 2008 to enhance the IGP and DOP products, and since then we have been able to propose 22 ingredients in our recipes.
00:21Since then we have bought 8,000 tons, and with this new edition we are able to enhance 5 DOP and IGP products,
00:33and in these years we have undoubtedly had the opportunity to taste more than 100 million sandwiches,
00:39and therefore to give a lot of space and visibility to the ingredients, which are of the true excellence of our Italian regions.
00:45McDonald's Italy has been in this country for 39 years, and from the outset has tried to be extremely relevant for Italian consumers,
00:52and therefore to enhance the excellence of the Italian agri-food sector.
00:56Since then we have collaborated with several local suppliers, and I would like to say that we are also trying to find ways to enhance difficult lines.
01:06In the last two years, for example, we have enhanced the Pachino IGP tomato,
01:11by putting it in our salads, which was a difficult line due to foreign competition.
01:16And last year, instead, we were able to introduce the Emilia-Romagna IGP pear,
01:20precisely to help a sector that was strongly in crisis due to climate change.
01:26For us, this is a commitment that continues over time, and that is why it is now seven years since we launched the MySelection line,
01:34through which we continue to give the opportunity to many customers, and above all to young people,
01:39to try the tastes and products of the various territories of our regions.
