00:00All right everybody, welcome back to the Snack Boys. I'm Addy, he's Clem, and today
00:04we will be reviewing two new Flips flavors. One is a Peppermint Hot Cocoa,
00:09one is a Snickerdoodle. Big Snickerdoodle guy. Yes, I know this about you.
00:14Nothing not to like about a Snickerdoodle though, right? No. Really not.
00:18Great name, great flavor. But it needs, it should be higher in the pantheon of
00:22cookie flavors. I think we did a cookie draft. And we said that, right?
00:26Snickerdoodle deserves more love, so I'm happy that Flips showed them that.
00:29With that said, the other one, I like some good Peppermint. I think Peppermint
00:38should be the, like, legit THE flavor of Christmas. And it kind of is, but I think
00:42gingerbread is trying to, like, weasel their way in. Yeah. And there's too much
00:46ginger in a lot of that gingerbread. I thought you were gonna say eggnog. Oh, yeah. I don't want to talk about eggnog. No? I'm not an eggnog guy, personally. Really? Yeah. I thought you were.
00:56Very anti-eggnog. Extremely anti-eggnog. I thought you washed your face in eggnog
01:01on Christmas morning. What am I, fucking Buddy the Elf or something? Who does that?
01:06I thought you did. I had it wrong. We had a whole conversation about how much we
01:09disliked the flavor of eggs. Yeah. It was large when he poisoned us with those foods.
01:14But this is gonna put us, I'm hoping, in the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas.
01:18Happy holidays to all. And I don't know what I'm gonna get out of the hot
01:22chocolate, but with flips I feel like they're gonna take me to at least a
01:26good place. Yeah. We liked the strawberry one, didn't love the peanut butter one, so
01:32here we go. Yeah. Let's do snickerdoodle first, because I feel like peppermint
01:36could be a little controlling. Yes. Yes, good call. That's a man who knows his
01:39flavors. Again, he's not really smelling the bags anymore. Ed, smell the bag. I mean, you probably just tasted it.
01:48Wow. I have a take, but I want to hear what your thoughts are. I really like what they're doing here,
02:10Clem. They're controlling the pace, they're protecting the ball, they're running a
02:14great offense. If you hit that snickerdoodle, then you get punched with
02:19some salt from the pretzel. My only con I have right now is, I don't know how many
02:22of these I could eat. Like, they're not like, you give me the chocolate one, I'll
02:26just slam them. But that's damn good. There's a little extra. That's damn good. There's a little bit of doodle in there that kind of is like,
02:33whew, I got to take a break here. That's damn good. My take was, the first bite I
02:38had, I tasted the pretzel hit me too much, and then the snickerdoodle, so it was
02:42almost like a bad, like not aftertaste, but before taste. And then once
02:46everything calmed down, I was in a happy place. It felt like Christmas. Just, you
02:51know, when you're in Christmas, you have your hot cocoa, the presents, there's
02:54still a few more to open, but you've already opened some good stuff. That's
02:57what that makes you feel like. That's, I'm blown away. You're a snickerdoodle guy.
03:02That is a, for the snickerdoodle connoisseur, I'd say that is a must-buy.
03:06A must-buy. All right, Peppermint Hot Cocoa. You smell it again, I'm happy about that.
03:10No, I'm sorry. I was nervous. It's been a long day.
03:18Is this a dark chocolate?
03:19It's a dark chocolate.
03:35First bite, I was all in. Then the peppermint gets a little too overpowering,
03:41and it tastes a little too York bar, York bar to me. York peppermint patty? Yeah,
03:46York peppermint patty. Peppermint patty. Okay. If you like York peppermint patty,
03:51this will be a great snack for you, I think, because it does the same thing,
03:55and plus you get a bonus pretzel.
04:00I don't hate it, but I don't like it as much as I did initially when it hit my lips.
04:04They're like a NBA big three that was kind of forced together and never really worked,
04:08where this, everything comes together pretty naturally.
04:12Just to make sure. It's Christmas season. I might go over the place.
04:16Calories don't count during Christmas time. It's a known fact. It's a right hammer.
04:21I got to say, I don't know. Maybe I was just thinking flips, chocolate. We're getting milk
04:25chocolate, yada, yada, yada. You're getting a dark, a hot chocolate. It's a little darker
04:29than your typical milk chocolate, I guess. True. That's on me as much as anything.
04:34Snickerdoodle, I'm going 8.8. Okay. I'll go 8.5. This one, I'm going to go 7.7.
04:436.4. Okay. I really don't love them. I like these a lot more. Snickerdoodle,
04:47all these cookies. You know what movie that's from? Do you know? Christmas movie? No. You
04:54should know with me. All these cookies. Goonies? No, it's Ted from Jingle All the Way.
05:02Oh, it's been a long time, Ed. I'm due though. You said it wasn't a Christmas movie though.
05:06What do you mean? I just said Christmas movie, you said no. Jingle All the Way?
05:10No, I said, is it from a Christmas movie? You said no. Oh, I thought Christmas movie was the
05:13name of a movie. Like I thought you said like a Christmas story. Honest misunderstanding there.
05:18Oh, these cookies. Yeah. RIP Phil Hartman. That's it, everyone. Thank you for listening.
05:24Thank you for watching. We will be back next time. We'll see you then.
