00:00It's so difficult sometimes to give yourself a break and let yourself rest and that timing
00:05you're talking about with pregnancy. I mean, it's really difficult. And I imagine too,
00:12with players that have played on the LPGA Tour that get pregnant and continue to play,
00:18how in the world are they able to do that? What are the challenges that they're facing?
00:24And are there any added benefits like being pregnant? Do you pick up a couple of yards?
00:28I'm just generally curious because technically you gain more weight. It's like, well, you're
00:33putting more mass behind the ball. Could you hit it further? I don't know. No, you literally don't.
00:38Everybody that all of my friends that have played while they were pregnant literally lose so much
00:44distance because you lose so much speed because your core disappears. Just because you're adding
00:49a little bit of mass. You're just rotating. Oh, total rotating. I went and pitched a couple of
00:56times when I was pregnant. And it got to a point where my club was hitting my belly because I'm not
01:02used to having a belly. But my putting got so much better because I was so connected. There was no
01:08separation. And I was like, oh, this is like cheating. I love this. So I actually practiced
01:14my putting a decent amount. But most of my friends that go out and play, I mean, they get a lot of
01:19treatment. Make sure that everything's in line. You definitely don't practice as much
01:25a lot of snacks out on the golf course. And they just you just don't hit it as far. I think
01:31for me, the most impressive is when they come back quite quickly after they've had their babies.
01:37Because as parents, you know that those kids aren't sleeping and you're going out there to play.
01:43And they're mostly solo parenting, right? Because like the husbands have to be at home to work. So
01:47maybe they have a parent with them or a nanny or whatever. But if your baby cries like you're up,
01:54doesn't matter if you're the room over or not. As a mom, you have this like your body gets hot
02:00and like you just feel like, oh, my God, you're not sleeping. So I don't know how they do it
02:06when they go out and play. And these, you know, the babies are so small. I think that's the most
02:11impressive, impressive part about it, because you have to function at a very high level and
02:15your concentration has to be high and your stamina and all this stuff. And you're exhausted.
02:21I mean, are you allowed to take like a medical when you get pregnant on the LPGA tour?
02:27We have maternity now. So my status is protected till he's two years old.
02:33You don't get paid or anything. It's just your status is frozen.
