00:48President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. says his administration won't block the ICC if former President Rodrigo
00:54Duterte wants to be investigated for his alleged crimes against humanity during his war on
00:59drugs campaign.
01:00If he agrees to talk to the ICC, it's up to him, we don't have a choice.
01:11Marcos' remarks follow a marathon congressional hearing on Wednesday, during which Duterte
01:15refused to apologize for his role in the bloodshed and taunted the ICC to start its investigation.
01:21I'm asking the ICC to hurry up, and if possible, they can come here and start the investigation
01:30tomorrow.
01:31Baka mamatay na ako, hindi na nila ako ma-investigate.
01:34Duterte unilaterally withdrew the Philippines as a member of the ICC in 2019, when it started
01:39a preliminary examination into the drug war killings.
01:44Former President Rodrigo Duterte loses his temper during the House of Representatives
01:48squad committee probe into the war on drugs.
01:51This after former Senator Sonny Trillanes revived allegations that suspicious funds
01:56were funneled into his family's bank accounts.
01:58Will the former president be okay that if we draft the waiver now, will you be fine
02:03with that, Mr. President?
02:06Trillanes was a resource person at the hearing.
02:11He presented bank documents allegedly belonging to the Duterte family, showing 2.4 billion
02:16pesos was supposedly deposited to Duterte's bank account from 2011 to 2015.
02:22In 2016, Trillanes dared Duterte to sign a bank secrecy waiver after alleging Duterte's
02:27campaign contributor deposited 120 million pesos to the Duterte family's bank accounts.
02:33The former president refused.
02:35Following the commotion, Duterte apologized for his behavior.
02:41Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto says he would always safeguard our sovereignty
02:45when asked about the South China Sea.
02:47Prabowo adds, we respect all powers, but tells reporters, partnerships are better than conflicts.
02:53Prabowo's comments come after the foreign ministry stressed that Indonesia does not
02:56recognize China's claims over the South China Sea, despite signing a maritime deal with
03:01Beijing last weekend.
03:03The deal indicated they had reached common understanding on joint development in areas
03:07of overlapping claims.
03:09That wording sparked concern in Indonesia, which could be interpreted as a change in
03:13Jakarta's stance as a non-claimant state.
03:16Beijing has long clashed with Southeast Asian nations over the South China Sea, which it
03:20claims almost in its entirety.
03:22Prabowo, on his first trip since taking office, met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing
03:28on the weekend and with U.S. President Joe Biden in Washington the day before.
