00:00Residents who were affected by the typhoon Marse in Cagayan were evacuated again because of the typhoon Ophel.

00:08The mobile command center of DSWD is a big help in delivering real-time reports on the effects of the typhoon.

00:18The typhoon Ophel became even more powerful as a super-typhoon

00:23as it hit the northern part of Luzon,

00:27as a reason for the pre-emptive evacuation of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in Cagayan.

00:35According to DOST Pag-asa Weather Specialist Romeo Ganal Jr.,

00:39the typhoon is expected to bring strong winds and rain tonight,

00:44which could lead to widespread flooding.

00:47If we have significant rains this afternoon,

00:51the water level in the middle and lower Cagayan River will gradually rise again.

00:57There are still places that remain submerged in floodwaters

01:01because of the recent typhoons,

01:03which is why it is important to remind residents to stay in evacuation centers or safe places to avoid flooding.

01:12Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development continues to distribute relief goods

01:18to families affected by the next typhoon.

01:22Family food packs were successfully delivered yesterday

01:26to Babuyan-Claro Island, Calayan Island, and Fuga Island.

01:30In order to provide faster communication to those affected by the typhoon,

01:37the DSWD Mobile Command Center is deployed in the affected area of Cagayan.

01:43According to Director Lucia Alan,

01:48especially if the telecommunication signal and connection are lost.
