00:00Five days after the typhoon Christine struck, the Pantlalawigan ng Batangas government

00:06is continuing to conduct relief operations for the families and residents affected by the typhoon.

00:12The details are reported by Patricia Bermudez of PIA-Calabarzon.

00:18Gov. Hermelanda Mandanas personally traveled to distribute relief goods and hygiene kits

00:24to areas affected by the typhoon Christine,

00:28such as Talisay, Laurel, Cuenca, San Nicolas, and Agoncillo.

00:33The Batangas Provincial Government also placed mobile kitchens and mobile markets

00:38in evacuation centers to meet the needs of the evacuees.

00:44It also sent medical teams and mobile clinics

00:48to deliver free medical checkups and medicines to the evacuees.

00:52Aside from this, there was also psychosocial processing for the evacuees

00:57who experienced heavy flooding and landslides.

01:00Meanwhile, Mandanas assured that he will provide financial and psychosocial support

01:06to those affected by the landslide, particularly to Talisay, Batangas.

01:13According to Mandanas, the residents will not return to the areas where the landslide occurred.

01:21It's not dangerous anymore.

01:23Number one, we are really in danger.

01:27Why do we have to do it again?

01:29But the truth is, there are still people who are forced to do it

01:35because they have their homes destroyed.

01:37But it's for education.

01:39According to the Batangas PDRRMO,

01:43the total amount of landslides in the agriculture sector

01:47amounted to Php 118,576,333,

01:51affecting more than 1,000 hectares of land

01:55and 1,553 farmers.

01:59It also affected 27,853 families

02:03or 97,176 individuals

02:07affected by the landslide in Batangas.

02:11The total number of people affected

02:13amounted to Php 54,

02:15while Php 18,000 was lost.

02:17The highest number of casualties

02:19was reported in Talisay, Batangas

02:21where the landslide occurred.

02:25Mandanas assured that he will continue

02:27to provide financial support

02:29to the residents in need.

02:31He also called on the Batangueños

02:33to be strong

02:35and not lose hope.
