00:20At the age of 18, not just one, but two world championships were used by the Filipino jet ski racer, Anton Ignacio.
00:29In 2023, Ignacio was named the youngest Filipino champion in the novice runabout 1100 stock
00:37of the 42nd International Jet Sports Boating Association World Finals.
00:42This year, Ignacio won the Pro-Am Runabout 1100 Stock in Lake Havasu, Arizona, USA.
00:59I'm really proud. I've been working hard for that, practicing every week, and I was really able to do it.
01:08His parents, Robert and Joyce, are also proud of their son's continued success in the sport.
01:15It's overwhelming and we're very, very grateful because it doesn't have to be anything special.
01:26We only have one child and that's why we take every opportunity or every race as a blessing.
01:34I'm very, very proud of my son. It is something that I will never forget.
01:42Him winning the world championship is sweeter than me winning it. So I'm very proud of him and I'll keep up the good work.
01:53Ignacio will also compete in the third round of the World Series before the end of 2024.
