00:00Let's start, we're going to look at race number six on the Saturday Breeders' Cup card, and
00:06this is the Breeders' Cup Distaff.
00:08Alexa, you're going to take the first three horses on the inside.
00:11Yeah, the average buyer in here is, the winning buyer is 100.5, so pretty, pretty quick.
00:18But the number one candied from Todd Pletcher's Barn, 15 to 1 morning line, so a bit of a
00:23long shot.
00:24Is a presser closer in here, got third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Phillies last year,
00:28and since then, she's only managed to win one race that was a stakes, but has run in
00:33four more grade ones, where she's hit the board in three of them.
00:37So I do like her in here.
00:38The number two Torpedo Anna for Kenny McPeak Barn, 4 to 5 morning line favorite.
00:43I don't know about you, but I am extremely excited.
00:47I'm extremely excited to watch this Philly run.
00:51She's the horse to beat.
00:52Her Travers performance is her only loss this year, and she lost by a head to, you know,
00:58one of the best horses in the country.
00:59She went up against the boys in that race, and she was coming at the end.
01:02Oh, you could hear it in the stands when she just didn't get there.
01:05Everybody just kind of shrieked, because everybody was really just rooting for her.
01:08She's tactical, and I think the best strategy in this race will be to send her earlier,
01:16if possible.
01:17You know, idiomatic scratch in here, so I think that...
01:19We actually have three now.
01:20There were two more scratches that just came out, and that were just announced, so I can
01:24save you some work.
01:25Yes.
01:26That Akuda's out.
01:27Okay.
01:28So there you go.
01:30That Akuda's out.
01:31Don't worry about talking about that Akuda next, but we'll get over to Roberto for Alice
01:35Verte, one of the Japanese runner.
01:37I mean, how about the contingent?
01:38They have so many horses in all different races that look live this year.
01:43Do you think this is one of them?
01:44And you can mention the next couple of horses, too.
01:46Yeah.
01:47It is 19 horses representing Japan in these Breeders' Cup, which is a record for them,
01:52and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a record next year.
01:54They're going to bring more horses.
01:55They're going to keep going.
01:56And this one, you know, she's a Japanese invader, obviously.
01:59They never have run on dirt, and the only thing is this thing that she'll help.
02:05That's the only thing that I can see on her favor.
02:08Regarding Sugar Fizz, the number five, she's a winner of four on eight stars, California-based,
02:17but she's 0-4-2 at Del Mar, and both races have been kind of bad races.
02:23She has to step up to defeat this field.
02:27And obviously, we have the number six, which is Regency.
02:31She defeats Idiomatic.
02:32Idiomatic could be a big play in this race.
02:36Chad Brown has won stakes with at least 20 different mares in the last four years, which
02:43is incredible.
02:44And also, why not?
02:46He used to be, or he called himself, you know, the King of Dirt, why not the King of Dirt?
02:53Because all the horses, or most of the horses that Chad Brown brought this year, they're
02:57really good on dirt.
02:58We've got a bunch of that, and we're going to talk about that.
03:01Regency, major player in here.
03:04Honored Delady hopes they go a little quick early on.
03:06She can come closing in here, and once you remove Torpedo Anna, and we say that she's
03:11kind of on a top tier, a lot of the other horses are kind of competitive on speed figures
03:15and stuff.
03:16You might be able to get a little value, especially underneath.
03:18This could be one of those horses that's passing a few.
03:21This New York is scratched, so the eight is out.
03:25Let's take a look at the nine, Producer Rich, because Awesome Results has had, this is an
03:29interesting horse.
03:30You don't probably have a whole lot on the figures and stuff, because this is a horse
03:32that comes from Japan, but this is a horse who has really nice U.S. breeding.
03:37This is a four-year-old daughter of Justify, and this horse actually is seven for seven,
03:42undefeated.
03:43She beat the boys in her first five starts.
03:45I think if Torpedo Anna loses, I think it's because Awesome Results is just really impressive,
03:51and we don't even know how good she might be.
03:53Her trainer, too, sounded so confident talking about this horse.
03:57It was kind of funny.
03:58He just said, yeah, I think Torpedo Anna's our major rival.
04:00I'm not really sure about the rest of them, so he seems really confident coming into this
04:04race with Awesome Results, and then I'll round things out with Shea Evasora, the Argentinian
04:09bred who actually qualified for this race, I think back in May, and was off from May
04:15to September, and when showed back up here in September in the Zenyatta, just didn't
04:19really fire.
04:20So we'll have to see where she stacks up against this sort of level of horses.
04:24So there's the field, horse by horse, for the Distaff.
