00:00We are gonna be seeing some really fast horses right here. This is the Breeders' Cup Sprint, which is going to go as race number 10.
00:13And as expected, Roberto, in a race like this, there's a lot of speed, a lot of fast horses.
00:19And we start with speed.
00:20One of them, right?
00:21Right turn, this horse is, I want three in a row with higher speed figure, one or four, twice, you know, speed from the rail.
00:30That's it.
00:31Number two, Gun Pilot.
00:33This one has good leg speed.
00:35And the only thing is, Stephen S. Mewson, combined with Christian Torres, in the last three months, they do 5%.
00:44That one, 3, 440, something like that.
00:47I mean, he has been terrible.
00:50It is time for, you know, to step up and try to do something.
00:53Federal Judge, I love this horse, number three.
00:57It's not because Aaron Judge.
00:59It's because it's Federal Judge.
01:01It's because Aaron Ortiz Jr., Brad Cox.
01:04And it seems interesting to me that this horse was trained by Rodolphe Brissett, who also had Mulligan, for the same owners.
01:13Windstar Farm, Sienna Farm.
01:15We'll see what, something is gonna happen with these two horses.
01:19It's gonna be interesting.
01:21Nakatomi, number four, ran fantastic last time at Keeneland, considering no horse was close in that weekend.
01:29And he was able to close behind Federal Judge against pretty much everything.
01:35Now he's gonna get the pace.
01:37He's gonna be closer.
01:39And I think he's a horse that you have to, you know, look out for.
01:43I think you have, are you the next?
01:45Or I'm going 5.3, right?
01:47I'm distracted because I'm singing like in the,
01:49Loving you whether, whether times are good or bad or happy or sad.
01:56Let's get into the number five in here.
01:59So Don Frankie is one of.
02:00Did you hear that?
02:01He said the body weight of Don Frankie is 1,500 pounds.
02:03Yes.
02:04Wow.
02:05He's a monster.
02:06He's a monster horse.
02:07I think all of the Japanese runners in here are pretty live because they may get the trip.
02:12Horses like Don Frankie could be sitting.
02:14And we've seen this horse on the dirt against top level company.
02:18This horse was second in the Golden Shaheen a little earlier on this year.
02:21Ben Tornado, who I respect quite a bit, is a grade two winner.
02:25But this is way tougher than what he's been facing.
02:28And he has to face older and a lot of other early speed in here.
02:32So that concerns me a bit.
02:33Metamax is another one that could get a nice setup from off the pace.
02:36I'm looking for some of those off the pace horses because of the presence of horses like straight no chaser.
02:42The eight who can flat fly.
02:45We know that the one raging torrent is fast.
02:47We know that federal judge is fast.
02:49We know that Ben Tornado is fast.
02:51You put all those horses together.
02:53They are going to be moving.
02:54And we didn't even mention two of the horses that you're going to mention towards the outside.
02:57You are really fast.
02:58Everybody's fast.
02:59Everybody's fast in here.
03:00But the number nine remake is another Japanese horse.
03:03He beat Skelly three back but lost to John Frankie and Nakatomi two back in the Golden Shaheen.
03:07You know, he's a superstar in Japan.
03:09But, you know, whenever he's stepped up to face group one company, he can't quite pull it off.
03:14And has just recently lost to stronger players in here.
03:17So, not going to be on any of my tickets.
03:20But the number ten is a different story.
03:22Mulliken, seven to two odds.
03:25Flavien Pratt will be aboard.
03:28Like most in here, he will want the lead.
03:30But also has proven to be able to handle rating in the past.
03:33So, I think likely he can sit off of Skelly and straight no tracer and try to pass him in the later stages.
03:41He's been doing that lately, going seven furlongs.
03:43So, I like his odds of not conceding and tiring here.
03:47He'll fit on the cutback, right?
03:48Exactly.
03:49Do you think he's going to be able to take the lead from that horse?
03:51No, I think he can ride a little bit.
03:53Because I think he's ridden before and can handle it.
03:55But, you know, he's had those four straight wins, including the grade one forego.
03:59And I just think he seems more tactical than a lot of the other speedsters in here.
04:04They're kind of one dimensional.
04:05Yeah.
04:06And in a race like this where there's so much pace, being a tactical horse is going to mean a lot.
04:10And then finally, the far outside, number 11, Skelly for Steven Asmussen.
04:16Eight to one morning line odds.
04:17I like this one quite a bit as well.
04:20I think either he or the number eight straight no chaser will grab the lead.
04:25I like him on the outside.
04:26Considering how much time they do have before the turn to get in that leading position.
04:32He'll have a lot of his pace of the inside, which is better than having it to your outside in a race like this.
04:39And out of everybody in here, I do think he has the best chance to wire the field.
04:44I would expect him to be in the top three, even if he were to get caught then.
04:47I'd still expect him to hit the board.
04:49So we went through each horse in the Breeders' Cup Sprint.
04:53Let's get to selections for race number 10.
04:55We'll start with you, Roberto.
04:56Who do you have on top here?
04:57Looking for a very long shot here.
05:00Ben Tornado.
05:01Nice.
05:02Okay.
05:03Eight to one.
05:04I saw that on the pick ticket.
05:05Love it.
05:06What?
05:07Yeah.
05:08Big prices.
05:09Yeah.
05:10Got him.
05:11I don't think he's going to be on the lead.
05:12You want him to sit.
05:13And he has shown he can sit a little bit.
05:14I don't think he's going to be on the lead.
05:16And probably try to take the lead with the turn for her.
05:19These are the kinds of conversations that everybody has, too.
05:22When you're sitting around with your friends, talking a little trash about what's the horse going to do.
05:25I've got this one.
05:26No, you're going to be wrong.
05:27And what's great in racing and in sports, we always will find out.
05:32We'll find out.
05:33His connection, we're looking for a really good post position.
05:36And I think they get it.
05:37So that now continues.
05:39Gives him some options.
05:40They have some options there.
05:41I have to include Nakatomi.
05:43I think this horse is the one.
05:45He's probably going to end up as a favorite.
05:47Get a great trip.
05:48Should come closing in here.
05:49There's a lot of speed to run at.
05:50Let's hand it over to you, Alexa.
05:51Yeah, I have Mulligan on top.
05:53I just really think with the tactical speed that he has and the ability to sit off a little bit will be really valuable in here.
05:59And then Skelly after that.
06:01I love the 8-1 odds on Skelly.
06:03And then Nakatomi as well in federal judge.
06:05So I'm going to put the nine remake on top.
06:07And we keep talking about the Japanese horses, how they've come over with so many live horses.
06:12And to me it's horses like this that make sense because remake has faced top company on the dirt.
06:18He's a legitimate dirt sprinter.
06:20He was in the Riyadh dirt sprint finishing behind elite power in Gunite last year when he was third.
06:25Then he won the Korea sprint.
06:26He was in the Golden Shaheen at May Dawn and was only beaten a length that day.
06:30And then he came back this year and was in the Korea sprint he won recently after a little bit of a disappointing performance in the Golden Shaheen.
06:36But he had time off and he came off the bench and got that prep race out of the way.
06:40So I think he was able to shake off any rust there.
06:43People's favorite.
06:44Look at his odds in the last five races.
06:46He's just been freaky, freaky good.
06:48And he beat a horse named Anarchist who's actually a U.S.-based sprinter.
06:52That is a graded stakes horse that would have been a long shot in here but is actually a really nice horse.
06:57So I put the nine on top of the ten.
06:59Mulliken, the three federal judge who's really, really fast.
07:02And then Don Frankie is another fun horse from Japan that could get a really nice trip.
07:07So we got you finished with each of our race previews, all 14 of them.
07:12But we're not done yet.
07:13We're going to put a big bow on everything in our final segment.
07:16We're going to go through the late pick five sequence for Saturday.
07:20Roberto and Alexa have put together a pick five ticket that's going to start with the Breeders' Cup Classic race number eight.
07:25And it'll go races eight through 12.
