00:00it's time to talk about the main event the breeders cup classic is going to be
00:07race number eight on Saturday and I actually kind of like what they've done
00:11they put it in the middle of the card and what's nice about that is it's
00:15actually the ending leg of the early pick five it starts the late pick five
00:19so if you want to be right about one race on Saturday this is the race that
00:24you want to be right about because it's the middle of all of those big multi
00:27exotic wagers let's talk about the breeders cup classic and let's talk
00:32about the field for the breeders cup classic what's so cool about this group
00:36it's international yeah we have so many really good horses internationally and
00:42it starts out with forever young I gotta say I'd be surprised if he's six to one
00:46I think he's gonna take a lot of money on there I think he's six to one on the
00:49morning line I wouldn't be shocked if he's more like three to one seven to two
00:53in that range and you maybe have two or three horses that are kind of in that
00:56three to one seven to two range vying for favoritism but this horse has done
01:00almost nothing wrong he's six for seven his only loss came when he was third in
01:05the Kentucky Derby when Sierra Leone was leaning in on him and he was probably
01:08best that day and he got his prep race out of the way which I really love he
01:13had some time off from May to October shows up at the beginning of October
01:17wins the Japan dirt classic I like him a lot in here I think he's pretty
01:21versatile this is a legitimate horse the number two is Highland Falls Highland
01:25Falls was written a little differently last time out Flavian Pratt was very
01:29aggressive with him and it exactly resulted in the career best effort the
01:33grade one Jockey Club Gold Cup win for Highland Falls so the horses always has
01:38talent and he put it together in a big way last time out so let's get to Alexa
01:43you talk about City of Troy and numbers three through five yeah City of Troy is
01:46the favorite and I just want to put the we say this is the big one I mean
01:50there's seven million dollars on the line for this race so this is the big
01:55one indeed and City of Troy is the morning line favorite at five to two
01:58odds you know he's only ever lost one race he's coming here for Aiden O'Brien
02:02coming off of three group one wins in Europe he's an extremely tactical horse
02:07if you read through his comment lines you'll see how he's he's studied he's
02:11been in difficult positions and he just responds comfortably every time so he's
02:14no joke he's definitely the one to be in my opinion in here number four mixed Oh
02:1930 to 1 morning line odds this horse I don't think really fits he's 2 for 14 in
02:24his life he did win the grade 1 Pacific Classic last out but that I don't think
02:29is going to be comparable to today's level of competition it really was so
02:34you know he's a California based runner who I don't think is gonna be able to
02:38hang with the best in the world but number five is Senor Buscador also a
02:42long shot at 30 to 1 odds almost a 13 million dollar winner so far who won the
02:47Saudi Cup in February whoever he's had three races since then and has had like
02:53a little bit of deteriorated deteriorating form each time so I am
02:57not sure I'm ready to put my faith in him today he travels about as much as
03:00Berto does Derma Sotogake and Ushpa Tesoro the next two Roberto these are
03:07really talented horses and they are kind of coming in in different ways like
03:10Derma Sotogake was the classic runner-up last year but Ushpa Tesoro this year is
03:15in a little bit better form yeah definitely about it when you see Derma
03:19Sotogake you said it he finished second behind Wyatt Barrio but maybe it's not
03:24the same horse that you know he was last year I agree
03:28regarding number seven Ushpa Tesoro he finished second remember in the two
03:32richest race on dirt in the world Saudi Cup Dubai World Cup he's this one I will
03:38say he's one of the Japan horses yeah hope for this weekend and also he
03:44looked great in the mornings and the question is will him and Sierra Leone
03:51get the pace that they need but if he get it talking about Ushpa Tesoro he
03:57could become the horse and the richest horse in the earning he's kind of flying
04:02under the radar he has produced 60 million dollars over 60 million dollars
04:06because he was the buzz horse last year coming into the Breeders Cup he was only
04:10seven to two in that race and he kind of got a little bit lost in the race I
04:15get it he just got outrun I love that he's already got that race under him now
04:18and now he's a little more acclimated to the US style into the North American
04:22style regarding number eight Piran is yeah I know Charita about she's having a
04:26fantastic year but this is this is a whole different group you know this is
04:32a group of horses yeah now fairness and number nine is a whole different game
04:36yeah he's looking great and one thing about fairness is Fletcher loves him to
04:43run when he's rested when he's well rested you know it's kind of a small
04:47horse compared with the rest of you know the other horses here so that time
04:52between the Travers and now and now he put some weight which is looking good
04:58it's Johnny Velasquez he's I think it's a great post position for him and now he
05:03learned how to run you know like kind of following the pace instead of him
05:08being the pace he proves a lot of people wrong this year in that he proved he can
05:13put two wins together and run two big races back-to-back he proved he can get
05:16a mile and a quarter the distance of the classic those are questions we didn't
05:19have we didn't had to ask about him we did an interview I did I interview with
05:23Johnny Velasquez and Kentucky downs and Johnny stalls that's what Johnny talks
05:28they say I was telling everybody he doesn't need to run in the lead he can
05:33he can sit and wait and then pass it well the last two races I think he
05:39proved that yeah we talked about pyrenees we talked about fierceness it'd
05:43be so cool to see like fierceness for every young city of Troy if they all
05:47showed up with their best efforts I don't know who would be the best like
05:51who has the highest ceiling of them who's gonna take to the track or get the
05:54right trip but all of them with their a-game would be just really tough to
05:58beat in here a couple of prices that are sort of fun tap it trice if you're
06:02looking for a huge price in the bottom of your exotics this is a horse who was
06:05a good three-year-old and this year has won two of three was really good in his
06:09first start off the bench might have regressed a little bit in the Jockey
06:12Club I have him in the bottom of exotics I'd be okay throwing him in some of your
06:16Maltese and at least in exact as tries and supers Sierra Leone's kind of funny
06:20because the reputation of Sierra Leone is sort of like he never wins but you
06:25actually look at him he still improves on speed figures in every race he's only
06:30three four eight and he's only Oh for his last four he's never even been
06:33beaten more than two lengths so I think he gets kind of knocked a little more
06:37than I mean that's a yeah getting what ten to one yes the thing we know with
06:45him he's always gonna come closing yeah we'll always come rolling we got to get
06:49everybody when it sets up for him a new gate was coming off of his career best
06:58effort that was when third in the California crown last time out and then
07:02next he's the marathoner who's stepping up and trying to face the absolute best
07:07let's quickly get into selections here
07:18there you go so I think this year is gonna be in the classic a three-year-old
07:23superfecta I will go three eleven one nine I think it's a lot about the
07:28three-year-old shoe how about for you Alexa I want to mention one more that we
07:32miss which is next okay this is the 14 horse and is extremely consistent has
07:36had seven straight wins his I love this horse his best figures are when he's
07:40asked at a higher level so he really rises to the occasion he wants the lead
07:46his margins of win in his last six races have been like 20 lengths 25 lengths 11
07:51lengths so I really like that my top selections in here City of Troy
07:56fierceness and next followed by Sierra Leone forever young for me the one I put
08:01on top and I think City of Troy is pretty good we have Sierra Leone we have
08:06Tapitrice underneath
