00:00Satellite and radar showing that we do
00:01have this front that is pushing through,
00:03and as it does, so it's going to
00:05be ushering in cooler air,
00:07but you'll note that it's moisture starved.
00:09There's not a lot of rain,
00:10and so it's really not going to help
00:12when it comes to that expanding drought,
00:13which means that we still have to be on
00:16high alert, especially when it
00:17comes to fire weather danger.
00:19We do have red flag warnings in effect
00:21through the entire state of Connecticut,
00:23and even through Southern New Jersey as well.
00:26That is going to include Tom's River,
00:28even up towards Trenton and then
00:30a little bit further North.
00:31You will even see parts of Connecticut
00:34under this red flag warning as well.
00:37Hartford Bridgeport all those areas
00:38means that no outdoor burning is
00:41recommended as the air is very dry,
00:43and this has really been the
00:45pattern here since August.
00:46Why is it been so dry?
00:48Well, you have to look at the
00:50upper level winds here.
00:51We've had high pressure kind of
00:53anchored there across the North.
00:55That's been steering those
00:56winds there further West,
00:57so we've had some flow pushing off
00:59of the eastern seaboard as well.
01:01A lot of that Gulf and Atlantic
01:03moisture suppress this,
01:04so we haven't really been able to
01:06gather a lot of that rainfall that
01:08we've really needed here over the
01:09past few months. Now those cooler
01:11conditions by Thursday.
01:12Well, it's going to be mainly dry.
01:14You'll note the difference when
01:16it comes to the Mercury temperatures
01:18returning to the 50s and 60s.
01:20The numbers well a lot different
01:22than what we have been tracking.
01:24Pittsburgh you'll see back in that green
01:2660 for your high on Thursday.
01:28Buffalo you'll top off at 52.
01:30Similar story in Burlington.
01:33It's going to take a little bit
01:35some mile there along the coast
01:36as we do head into Thursday,
01:38but still we're going to be mostly dry.
01:41So while you may have to add on an
01:43extra layer to your wardrobe tomorrow
01:45morning, you can still get out and about,
01:48especially before these leaves are able
01:50to brush those leaves right off the trees.
