00:21NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan emphasized the importance of strong competition policy for economic growth in Asia
00:29during the launch of the book Designing Competition Policy for Economic Development in Asia and the Pacific at Asian Development in Tokyo.
00:37Balisacan noted the need for competition authorities in developing countries to integrate their efforts into broader policies.
00:44He highlighted the Philippines' integration of competition policy into its 2023-2028 development plan despite facing implementation challenges.
00:55The National Economic and Development Authority or NEDA board chaired by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. approved the Philippines Health System Resilience Project Phase 1.
01:05The project will cost 27.9 billion pesos and focus on 17 provinces with limited healthcare access.
01:13This program from the Department of Health aims to improve health emergency response in vulnerable areas and apply lessons learned from the pandemic.
01:23Agriculture Secretary Francisco Chu Laurel Jr. directed by the Bureau of Animal Industry to enhance vaccination protocols for the promising ASF vaccine from Vietnam.
