00:00PTV Balita is back. The Department of Budget and Management has issued a fund for the purchase of rice by the National Food Authority.

00:13According to Agriculture Secretary Francisco Chulorel Jr., it is worth more than a billion pesos.

00:21Because the NFA will have a fund to support the farmers during the harvest season.

00:28The fund will also help to strengthen the harvest of the farmers.

00:33According to NFA Administrator Larry Lackson, they can now buy 7.2 million sacks of rice worth 25 pesos per kilo.

00:45The government continues to provide assistance to our countrymen who emigrated from Lebanon.

00:52The DSWD provided P10,000 or P20,000 cash assistance to 45 OFWs who returned to the country.

01:02Aside from this, the Department of Migrant Workers will also provide P150,000.

01:08Meanwhile, the Department of Health will assist in psychological debriefing and other medical attention.

02:22Authorities arrested a 38-year-old man during a drug-by-bus operation on MacArthur Highway Road, Barangay Sirawan,

02:31in Davao City on October 16.

02:34He was arrested by Alias Jomar, a resident of Barangay Bancas Heights, Tulilingdak, Bayan.

02:40During the operation, 12 people were arrested in Shabu.

02:44The total amount was around Php 360,000.

02:48He was recovered using a cell phone, checkbook, coin purse, and by-bus money.

02:54He was charged under Republic Act No. 9165 under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

03:03The National Nutrition Council of NNC 11 held a local event in Mati City in Davao Oriental

03:10regarding their programs related to promoting healthy food.

03:15The 2024 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony was also held in Davao City on October 16.
