00:00Some residents of Marikina are now preparing for the possibility of flooding the Marikina River

00:07due to the impact of the Typhoon Pepito.

00:14Before the Super Typhoon Pepito hit Metro Manila,

00:19Sherry quickly moved the household items that could have been flooded.

01:03At 2 p.m. earlier this afternoon,

01:13the Marikina LGU will conduct a pre-emptive evacuation

01:17and the residents will be forced to evacuate when it reaches 18 meters.

01:23The 27 schools and gyms that will serve as evacuation centers in Marikina are open tomorrow.

01:28Boats and responders are already in place.

01:32We have been monitoring for 24 hours.

01:34We are really monitoring the barangays.

01:36Barangay Nangka, Tumana, Malanday, and Kasama Iban da Concepcion.

01:43Eight floodgates in Pasig were also opened,

02:14conducted a pre-emptive evacuation early.

02:20more than 500 residents were evacuated to Barangay Apolonyo, Samson,

02:24Bagong Silangan, Damayanlagi, Santo Domingo, and Tatalon.

02:28The QC Hotline 122 was not able to reach those in need of help.

02:37All pumping stations were made operational

02:40to reduce the possible flooding.
