00:00Hello, the movie is here.
00:02Today we are reviewing a movie from 2015 called Flight, World War 2.
00:09The beginning of the movie begins inside a passenger plane, IA-42, which flies over Dallas to London.
00:16The pilot, captain William Strong, informs about the situation of the plane and mentions that they should reach the destination in about 7 hours.
00:23He also mentions that the weather conditions are perfect and that he will not feel any turbulence during the flight.
00:28Captain Strong is accompanied by an assistant pilot, Daniel Prentiss, with whom he has been flying together for several years.
00:34While the duo is talking, a strange anomaly suddenly appears.
00:37The electronics inside the cockpit start to shake and this forces Captain Strong to call for help.
00:43Fortunately, ground control assures them that there are no mechanical problems and that the sky is clear ahead.
00:49With these, it is easier for the pilots, but they get a little further and they notice a giant storm as they prepare.
00:55Surprised, Captain Strong at the same time contacts ground control, and the control tells him that the sky should be clear.
01:02However, to their surprise, the man mentions that the storm appeared out of nowhere.
01:07Left without other options, Captain Strong orders the passengers to stay in their seats and continue to go through the storm.
01:13Co-pilot Daniel is uncertain about the idea, but the captain tells him that this is the only way.
01:19After this, both pass through intense turbulence, while the passengers scream in fear.
01:24Fortunately, after a little fear, the plane passes through the storm and enters the peaceful sky.
01:29The passengers sigh because of relief, and the pilots are terrified when they see that the sky is black, as if it had changed into night.
01:35What's more, all signals inside the plane are cut off.
01:39Now, only the radar is working and all communication with ground control is lost.
01:43Despite this, they think that the storm was caused by the storm and continue forward.
01:48Anyway, when they fail to find a single plane on their radar for the next 30 minutes, they become suspicious.
01:54Captain Strong decides to turn the plane around, aiming to find someone around.
02:00Before he does that, he calls the stewardess Cameron and tells her to move everything into their seats because it will descend.
02:07In the next scene, the pilots descend as their plan was, but then they notice something on their radar.
02:13At first, the captain becomes happy, but when Daniel says that this is not an ordinary plane, he becomes terrified.
02:19They see a large number of fighter jets bombing the city, which looks like a war.
02:24This puts the passengers in a state of panic, but the stewardess calms them down quickly, saying that everything will be fine.
02:30In the meantime, inside the cockpit, the pilots are also shocked, but as they consider the situation, a lot of fighter jets begin to surround them.
02:39Just because they were supposed to be attacked, they use their radar to escape from the fighter lines and rise to the sky again.
02:45With this, they manage to escape from danger, but the passengers begin to be alarmed every minute.
02:51Some of them ask Cameron to find out what's going on, but she calmly assures them that everything is under control.
02:58In the meantime, Captain Strong fails to contact anyone on Earth, and since there is no connection to the current location, he decides to go down again.
03:06The plan is to explore the surroundings and determine the exact location where they are.
03:10Daniel does not agree at the same time, because he is wary of the danger lurking below.
03:15However, when the captain is reminded that they will soon run out of fuel, he agrees with his idea.
03:20In the meantime, two passengers, who turn out to be historians, Dale and Bennet, consider the situation strange and decide to inform the captain about it.
03:28Then they sneak inside the cockpit and inform Captain Strong that the fighter jets they just witnessed were not made since 1945.
03:38In fact, they are Luftwaffe, owned by the Nazis, and they only used them.
03:43Hearing this, Captain Strong becomes frustrated and orders Cameron to follow the men out of the cockpit, but Bennet continues to emphasize that they somehow traveled through time until 1940, in the middle of the Second World War.
03:56Historians also emphasize that the plane lost its signals precisely because of this, and Captain Strong reluctantly gives them 30 seconds to tell their story.
04:05After this, they discover that the plane has not been able to pick up any signals because there are not many radio stations on the Western Allied Front in 1940.
04:14They also report that the plane was flying through the bombing of Saint-Azere, which was a calculated attack by the Nazis on the western coast of France in 1940.
04:24In the meantime, speculations simply annoy the captain even more, and he assumes that historians are playing with him.
04:32He then sends them to their seat, but not before telling them to keep their mouths shut.
04:38In the next scene, the pilots again lower the aircraft, hoping to pick up a radio signal.
04:43Luckily, they manage to contact the British, who at the same time asks the captain to identify himself.
04:49Captain Strong introduces himself, and he also mentions that he needs help at the same time, but the guy on the radio, Nigel, is skeptical about their motives.
04:58He also believes that it is impossible to pick up radio signals from an aircraft flying at a high altitude.
05:03With the right, during World War II, the British did not have such advanced equipment to cut such a long transmission.
05:10With the time running out, Captain Strong asks Nigel for help, but he is confused about their identity.
05:17As a result, Captain Strong asks Nigel for a date, and he replies that it is 17 June 1940.
05:24This shocks the captain, and they finally realize that the historians were not lying.
05:28However, they still do not have the opportunity to convince Nigel that this is a commercial aircraft.
05:33With no other option, Captain Strong calls the historians and lets them talk to Nigel.
05:38Bennett tells the location through his assumptions, and also mentions that they passed the point where Lancastria was sunk.
05:44When he heard this, Nigel could not believe it, because in his time Lancastria was still active.
05:49He then decides to go to his superiors and confirm whether this man is telling the truth.
05:54Inside the plane, the passenger listens to the conversation in the cockpit and it is clear to him what is happening.
05:59He then decides to take things into his own hands and get up from his seat.
06:03Following this, he tells everyone that the plane somehow traveled back in 1940 and that they are now in France.
06:10He also mentions that Hitler's army is currently invading the country, and he suggests that they all work together to stop him.
06:17When he hears this, most of the passengers start laughing and call him crazy, but some of them agree to join him.
06:24With this, the newly formed group decides to close the cockpit and make a forced landing, but a couple of US soldiers are stopped by the side.
06:32Soon the battle breaks out, even the stewardesses join the action.
06:36Fortunately, the bad guys are defeated and tied to their seats so as not to cause even more unrest.
06:42In the meantime, Nigel contacts the pilots again and discovers that their information about Lancaster was correct.
06:48He also mentions that the information helped him save a lot of people.
06:52As a result, Nigel finally trusts Captain Strong and decides to help him land the plane, but for that he needs their exact location.
07:01Captain Strong and historians estimate the location, but that is still not enough.
07:06The French co-pilot comes up with a plan to turn on the lights to be visible to the British soldiers.
07:12Unfortunately, as soon as they do that, the Germans find the first and most of the fighter planes and begin to encircle them.
07:18They begin to pierce the plane with bullets, which causes chaos.
07:22Despite this, Captain Strong does not panic, and he gives everything he has to avoid the attack.
07:27Then he gets the idea to run away from the enemy planes.
07:30When he counts to three, he lowers his plane in a circular motion, and just when he starts to hit the ground, he lifts it.
07:36The Germans also follow him, but since they have no advance on the plane, they fail to get up and crash on the ground.
07:42In the next scene, it is discovered that Daniel was shot during the attack, and the plane has several holes on it.
07:47Cameron quickly closes the holes and offers first aid to Daniel.
07:51Following this, Captain Strong finally decides to contact the passengers.
07:55He orders one of the stewardesses to take over the wheel and head outside.
07:58There, he discovers the whole situation and reminds them to give everything they have so that the plane lands.
08:03The recent attack damaged the landing gear, so they need several volunteers to fix it.
08:09At first, everyone is silent because they are too scared to die, but soon two brave passengers, Teresa and Hector, agree to volunteer.
08:16Soon, the trio head down to the section where the plane wreck is, and begin to investigate.
08:21Teresa, who is an engineer, quickly identifies the problem and begins to fix it.
08:26After a while, she is successful, but there is one last obstacle.
08:30The landing gear is jammed with something.
08:32So, to fix it, someone will have to go down and move the object away.
08:37Being a man who is, Captain Strong at the moment agrees to risk his life, but Hector insists that he does it, because he is a captain of greater value.
08:46He then slowly moves to the landing gear and, using a jack, fixes the problem.
08:51Later, Captain Strong heads back to the cockpit and goes down again to establish a connection with Nigel.
08:57After doing that, she mentions that the plane has only about 80 minutes of fuel and they need help at that moment.
09:04While they are talking, two German pilots suddenly attack the plane.
09:08This time, they fire rockets and blow up the plane's windows.
09:11With all the passengers in shock, Captain Strong comes up with another plan to attack the enemy.
09:16He uses the only form of his equipment, the radar, to track the enemy.
09:21Then he cleverly cheats the Germans and forces them to clash with each other, and saves everyone's life.
09:27After that was over, Daniel realizes that they can't go down, because it will reveal their location to the Germans.
09:34When all hope is almost lost, Bennett comes up with an idea.
09:37He suggests that they cut the plane's radar and send it to Nigel so that he could use it to lead them to safety.
09:44The captain comes up with a plan, but they have no choice but to accept it.
09:48Following this, they return communication with Nigel and explain their plan.
09:52Nigel is surprised that he will hand over his strongest weapons, but he still accepts the help.
09:57The pilots then agree to hand over the radar to a specific location and start preparing.
10:02In the next scene, the Stuards begin to search for things, hoping that they can find something that will make up for the fall.
10:09It is then that the older man gives them a parachute for the toy he allegedly took for his grandson.
10:14After this, preparations for the fall begin.
10:16They quickly wrap the radar in a thin layer of clothing and put it under the parachute.
10:20After a while, they arrive at the destination where they should throw it, and throw the device from the plane and inform Nigel.
10:27Unfortunately, the package falls right next to the Swiss-German border and is found by the Nazis.
10:32Just then, some members of the British army arrive and an intensive shooting begins between the two sides.
10:38Fortunately, the Nazis are killed and the British take the package to Nigel.
10:42Without wasting time, he quickly puts the radar inside his base and begins to use it.
10:47He then gives instructions to Captain Strong with the help of devices until they reach a safe place.
10:52During this time, there is very little fuel left on the plane, and the captain asks Nigel to find him a place to land as soon as possible.
10:59As he passes through the area, he suddenly notices a large display on the radar screen, which does not look like a plane.
11:05To his surprise, the display turns out to be a new flood, similar to the one that teleported them into this world.
11:11Seeing this, Captain Strong suggests that they go through it, because they certainly have no fuel to land anywhere.
11:17Then he speaks to Nigel with God and thanks him for his support.
11:21After this, he informs the passengers that they will go through another flood, and if they are lucky, they will see each other soon.
11:27Captain Strong then prepares with Daniel and rushes into the flood.
11:31Fortunately, the plan works and the plane is returned to Berlin at the moment.
11:35The ground control then contacts them and informs them that the entire runway is free for them.
11:40In the end, after 6 hours of chaos and terror, the plane IA-42 finally lands.
11:45In the last scene of the film, all passengers celebrate the descent and begin to go out one by one.
11:50After a while, Captain Strong also exits the cockpit and finds an old man sitting alone inside the plane.
11:57It turns out that he is writing a book called The Radar System that Saved Europe.
12:02The film ends with the fact that the old man is actually Nigel.
12:06This is inspired by a true story.
12:09Or maybe not. That remains a mystery to us.
