00:00The country is set to host the International Conference on Women, Peace and Security or ICWPS
00:06from October 28 to 30 gathering leaders from over 40 countries.
00:11Department of Budget and Management or DBM Secretary Amena Pangandaman stated
00:15that the summit will emphasize the vital role of women in global peace building initiatives
00:21aligning with United Nations Resolution 1325 which focuses on women's involvement in peace efforts.
00:28Pangandaman highlighted that the country's programs are supported by both government
00:32and private sector partners. The conference aims to raise awareness of these initiatives
00:38and demonstrate strong backing from the United Nations and the Philippine government.
00:45So this summit will give us opportunity at least even those women who doesn't know
00:53that our government has a program for this and we share not just domestically but even
01:00internationally very supportive to us here in the United Nations and we have the whole
01:08of government and whole of nation approach.
