00:00The Philippines will serve as a host in the International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security.
00:06This is the first time that a ministerial-level conference will be held in the country,
00:11not one of the aforementioned.
00:13According to the Department of Foreign Affairs,
00:15Office of the Presidential Advisor on Peace and Reconciliation and Unity,
00:19and the Philippine Commission on Women,
00:21this help is important to discuss the challenges faced by women and how this will be addressed.
00:28It is expected to be the result of the Manila Declaration,
00:32which expresses the commitment for the activities of peacekeeping and peacebuilding.
00:37This also includes the rapid action against sexual and gender violence
00:41and the assistance of women in their duties in the process of peace.
00:47The ICWPS will be held from October 28 to 30 in Pasay City.
