Met Office Saturday Afternoon Weather Forecast 15/06/2024

00:00Hello there, well it is going to be a little bit warmer this weekend but plenty of rain

00:04and showers around so not quite time to put away the raincoat just yet. As we head into

00:09this afternoon there's going to be plenty of sunny spells and showers. Fairly brisk

00:13winds across the south which means the showers are going to move through fairly quickly so

00:17a few more sunnier spells here. But across the north parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland

00:22the showers a bit more slow moving, heavy at times with a risk of thunder and lightning

00:26where we do have a Met Office yellow weather warning issued. Temperatures though a slight

00:31improvement compared to the week particularly across the south east where we could see highs

00:34of 19 maybe even 20 Celsius here but elsewhere temperatures around about average for the

00:40time of year. Now through into the evening we will continue to see those showers spread

00:45across the country with those longer spells of rain starting to sink away southwards into

00:50northern parts of Scotland where this could still be a little bit heavy at times. Those

00:54brisk winds will begin to ease across the south but across the north west of Scotland

00:58those brisk winds continuing. A large amount of cloud around overnight too which means

01:04a fairly mild night on offer. So for the second part of the weekend then another unsettled

01:10day plenty of sunny spells and showers once again across most of the country and those

01:15outbreaks of rain moving their way southwards across Scotland and into parts of Northern

01:19Ireland. They should break up fairly nicely into the afternoon and there should be a few

01:23more of those sunny spells in between those showers by the time we reach the afternoon.

01:27So a little bit more sunshine on offer those temperatures improving once again across the

01:32south east highs of 21 maybe even 22 in those prolonged sunnier spots but once again elsewhere

01:38those temperatures around about average for the time of year. And don't forget you can
