00:00Hello, good evening. Well it was a tale of two halves this morning. Plenty of blue
00:04skies in northern areas but across the south and southeast a much cloudier start
00:09and pretty wet too. Here's the radar and satellite image from this morning. We see
00:13plenty of rain across the south and southeast. A few showers feeding into
00:17northern parts of Scotland too but this rain has cleared its way off towards
00:21Europe as we've headed in through this afternoon. It has left behind
00:26plenty of clouds though across England and Wales and it's this cloud which is
00:30slowly going to move its way towards northern parts of the country. Largely
00:34dry overnight though, can't rule out some drips and drabs of rain and drizzle
00:37across hilly areas. Staying clear across northern parts of Scotland though and
00:42that is where it's going to turn cold overnight. Likely to see some pockets of
00:46frost by the time we reach the morning. Otherwise it's a fairly chilly night
00:50once again on offer but quite mild across the south. Many towns and cities
00:54remaining in the low double digits. Now Tuesday will be much drier to start with
01:00particularly across the south and southeast but it is going to be quite a
01:03cloudy day, quite a drab day on offer. Still can't rule out some drips and
01:07drabs of rain and drizzle across hilly areas but otherwise it should be largely
01:11dry. May even see some brightness towards the north of Scotland later on across
01:15eastern parts too. Otherwise a cloudy day, feeling warmer though with highs of 17
01:21possibly 18 across the southeast. A change is on its way overnight though.
01:27We'll start to see some showers, some longer spells of rain move their way up
01:31from the southwest. These could be heavy at times, may even hear the odd rumble of
01:35thunder overnight. Once again staying dry across the far north of Scotland and
01:39with clear skies it is going to be another chilly night here but otherwise
01:42quite a mild night on offer. Particularly in the south, not dropping below 14 or 15
01:47degrees Celsius. Now that does lead us into an overall quite warm day but
01:52pretty unsettled. Plenty of rain and showers heavy at times, still hearing
01:56some claps of thunder towards the afternoon. Some brightness possible in
02:01eastern areas across the southeast too but otherwise quite an unsettled day as
02:06we head into Wednesday. But it is going to be mild if not rather warm across the
02:10south and southeast, highs of 19 to 20 Celsius. And if you want to know if that
02:16unsettled weather is set to continue, well don't forget you can subscribe to
