00:00Hello, good morning. It's Friday, we've made it to the end of the week and we are actually
00:05ending the week on a bit of a split with some mild wet and windy weather in the west, but
00:09generally drier but a bit chillier in the east. So it will brighten up across central
00:14and southeastern areas, perhaps a bit of fog to start, but this clearing quite quickly
00:17as the breeze starts to pick up. Also turning rather blustery in western areas as we see
00:22clouds spill in, also some outbreaks of rain, this heavy at times as we can see from the
00:27brighter colours here. But it is also bringing in some milder air, so temperatures generally
00:31in the low teens but still quite a chilly day on offer in parts of the east, southeast
00:36of the country where temperatures aren't really going to exceed around 7 to 8 degrees. Then
00:42through into the evening we'll continue to see that cloud and those outbreaks of rain
00:46move their way eastwards across the country. Most of that rain generally fizzling out but
00:50leaving behind some clouds and spots of rain and drizzle, though this is mainly going to
00:54be across hilly areas, perhaps some longer spells of rain for parts of Northern Ireland,
00:58northern parts of England for a time too. But with all that cloud around and fairly
01:03blustery weather too, that's generally keeping those temperatures up, but still slightly
01:06chillier in those eastern areas, lows of around 5 to 6 degrees here. So to start off the weekend
01:13we can see there's still a fair amount of cloud across the country and it's going to
01:17remain quite cloudy through the course of the day. The best of any sunshine is going
01:20to be to the lee of high ground, perhaps northeast Scotland, northeastern parts of
01:24England. And once again there is going to be some spells of rain and drizzle at times
01:28too, mainly across Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland, northern England and later on
01:32across parts of southwest England. But once again that milder air spreading more and more
01:37across the country, so some slightly milder temperatures, particularly if you compare
01:41it to what we've seen in the week, highs of generally around 13 to 14 degrees. Now what's
01:47next for the rest of the weekend? Well there is going to be some rain at times, pushing
01:52in later on Saturday through into Sunday, this could be heavy at times too. And notice
01:57the squeeze in the isobars, so it is going to be quite blustery at times, particularly
02:01across northwest Scotland where we may even see some gales by the time we reach Sunday.
