00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met. We start this new working
00:04week how we ended the last week, mild but fairly changeable. We do have some sunshine
00:10out there first thing however across parts of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire into East Anglia.
00:15But this area of cloud across more central parts will spread its way eastward. Some spits
00:19and spots of rain left on it but generally it is just going to be an area of cloud. To
00:24the west of it some good amounts of sunshine actually developing so come lunchtime across
00:29central and eastern parts a fairly decent lunchtime and afternoon to come. Where further
00:33west thickening cloud ahead of this next area of rain which will arrive into Northern Ireland
00:38come middle of the afternoon. But for all of us another mild day, temperatures way above
00:44where they should be for the time of year especially down towards the south east we
00:47could see highs reaching 16 or 17 degrees. Into the evening this area of rain spreads
00:54its way north eastward. Some heavy rain for the time across parts of Scotland and Northern
00:58England accompanied by some brisk winds across more northern and western parts of the country.
01:03Where south east England, East Anglia probably remaining dry until after dawn. A very mild
01:10night to come especially across England and Wales. Temperatures not falling much lower
01:13than around 9 to 10 degrees. But it does come at a price a lot of us seeing a rather grey
01:20and damp start on Tuesday. Still going to see areas of rain spread their way eastwards.
01:25Clouds improve a little bit for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Northern England. A
01:29mixture of bright spells and a scattering of showers come the afternoon. Where further
01:33south more in the way of cloud and still some outbreaks of rain. Temperatures for all of
01:40us a little bit down compared to today but still above average. Highs reaching around
01:4515 possibly 16 degrees across the south. And then looking ahead to the rest of the week
01:51For most of us it's going to remain fairly changeable. There will be some drier and brighter
01:55moments still but also some periods of wetter weather especially come the end of Tuesday
02:00and into Wednesday. All the time it is going to remain fairly mild but there are some hints
02:05as we head towards the weekend that it will turn a little bit colder. But you can find
02:09out more about that or for the weather wherever you are on our website or on our app. But
02:14for now take care and I'll see you again soon.
