00:00Hello and welcome to the latest Met Office forecast. After a very dry July in most areas,
00:05there is some rain for many of us through this coming weekend but some places are likely to stay
00:09dry. We've got a series of weather fronts currently stretching from the mid-Atlantic and they're
00:13moving across the UK this weekend bringing a train of frontal systems and this will bring some rain
00:18or showers to most of us as we go through the next few days and into the early part of next week.
00:24Looking at Saturday afternoon in a bit more detail, it's central areas of the UK that will
00:28be probably cloudiest. There'll be some outbreaks of rain at times particularly across north Wales
00:32and northern parts of England. Further south across southern regions of England,
00:36some bright spells, some sunshine particularly across the southeast and feeling very warm
00:40in the light winds here. The skies also should brighten up across parts of Scotland with just
00:44one or two showers in the northwest. Further batches of wet weather move eastwards across
00:49central parts of the UK through Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday morning. Some fairly
00:55heavy bursts of rain possible here and there, most persistent across Wales and central parts of the UK.
01:00A very warm night in the south, quite muggy and humid in southern parts of the UK but a bit fresher
01:05and cooler across more rural parts of Scotland. Here though it should be a bright start today on
01:10Sunday. Plenty of sunshine spreading southwards across Scotland, Northern England and Northern
01:14Ireland and largely dry. Quite cloudy and humid though across more southern parts of the UK.
01:20Outbreaks of rain although the far southeast likely to stay dry although the odd heavy
01:24showers possible later in the afternoon. To stay up to date though with all the weather that's
01:29happening over the next few days make sure you do follow us on our social media channels
01:32and otherwise I'll chat to you again soon. Bye for now.
