00:00Hello there. Many places will have a good deal of fine weather this coming weekend but as we move
00:04into next week it will turn colder and windier and it will certainly feel more like autumn in
00:09most places. Looking at the bigger picture and we have tropical storm Gaston close to the Azores
00:14and ex-hurricane Fiona leaving northeast Canada. To the west of the UK a large area of high pressure
00:20this weekend but this cold front will sink its way southwards through the course of Sunday night
00:24and that will introduce much colder northerly winds for Monday and Tuesday and it will certainly
00:29feel more like autumn with temperatures feeling like they're more like in single figures by the
00:34time we get to Tuesday. Back to Saturday afternoon though and there's a good deal of fine weather out
00:39there for most of us. There's some areas of sunshine but there are also some showers. These
00:44focused across northeast England running down across east Anglia and southeast England and also
00:49some across Wales and the west. Other than the odd one or two elsewhere there's some sunshine for
00:54most and I think Scotland and Northern Ireland will turn mostly dry through the second half of
00:58this afternoon and for most despite a cool northerly breeze in places temperatures will be
01:03around average for the time of year reaching highs of around 18 or 19 degrees and feeling fairly
01:09pleasant in any sunshine. A few showers continue into this evening but most will tend to die away
01:14and become confined to more coastal regions as we go through Saturday night leaving much of the UK
01:20dry with lengthy clear periods and underneath those clearing starry skies we'll see temperatures dip
01:25quite low so it will be a chilly night for most tonight. The odd shallow mist or fog patch perhaps
01:30in places but temperatures certainly low enough to give a touch of grass frost particularly further
01:35north. Through Sunday and it's a bright and fine start to the day for most with some spells of
01:40sunshine still a few showers around mainly near the coasts but we will see cloud and increasing
01:45amounts of rain arriving across northern Scotland through the afternoon. This cold front will bring
01:50some heavy rain and some fairly strong winds developing through the afternoon with the risk
01:54of gales developing in the far north. Again temperatures around average for the time of year
01:58but feeling relatively pleasant with light winds in southern parts of the UK. It turns windier and
02:04showery though by Monday not everyone will see the showers but there will be some blustery winds
02:09and there'll be some sunshine mixed in there as well. Keep up to date though with the latest by
02:13following us on our social media channels and I'll speak to you again very soon. Have a lovely weekend!
