00:00The Castro-Apollo-Kibiloys move to seek elective office in the legislature has offended the sensibilities of senators who see this move as nothing but a travesty of justice.

00:10As such, the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality has written the court to compel Kibiloys' attendance when the Senate hearing on him resumes on October 23.

00:26As the Senate hearing on Alice Guo's issues draws to a close, the Senate now will shift to the issues hounding Pastor Apollo Kibiloy.

00:35The Senate Committee on Women and Children has set the continuation of their hearings for October 23.

00:42According to Senator Risa Hondiveros, they are set to write to the court to compel Kibiloys' appearance in the hearings.

00:49Some of the victim-survivors have already witnessed what will happen.

00:55And there are still new victim-survivors who will chase justice even if it's broken.

01:03That's the only way to confront their former leader.

01:07Hondiveros once again ripped Kibiloys for deciding to run and officially file his candidacy in the 2025 elections by proxy.

01:15One of those up for review is how to amend the provision of the law that allows criminal suspects to run for office.

01:22They should show a little shame.

01:26I will weigh the charges against him.

01:30Trafficking, abuse.

01:32Lawmakers should vote, not lawbreakers.

01:37However, Senate President Francis Escudero explained why Kibiloy is not being banned from running in the elections.

01:45He is not yet convicted by final judgment for disqualifying him from running, sitting, or holding a position in the government.

01:53Conviction of criminals by final judgment for the crimes committed against him, including the accession of the penalty note, is an absolute and perpetual disqualification to hold public office.

02:04However, it is not yet final.

02:06It is also expected that there are new witnesses might appear to the next hearing.
