00:00Authorities have arrested an alleged big boss of the Lucky South 99, a Philippine offshore gaming operator or POGO in Porac, Pampanga.
00:09According to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission or PAOC, Liu Dong alias Lin Jun Han was nabbed at a subdivision in Binan, Laguna last night.
00:18Twelve other foreign nationals were nine Filipinos were also apprehended.
00:22Liu Dong claims he was not involved in any illegal activity, stressing he only owns two Chinese barbecue restaurants in Laguna.
00:29Meanwhile, senators said the arrest of Liu Dong is a major win for the government's fight against POGOs in the country.
00:36Senator Risa Ontiveros commended the various government agencies that are behind the arrest of the alleged key figure in Lucky South 99 operations.
00:44She is hoping more big bosses will be apprehended, namely Duan Renwu, Zhang Zhi and Huang Zhiyang.
00:52Moreover, Senator Wynn Gatchalian said the capture of Liu Dong shows the government can obliterate POGOs, which continue to commit crimes in the country.
