00:24in the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Vientiane, Laos.

00:30President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted on following the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea or UNCLOS.

00:35In front of this, China's baseless claim and aggressive action in the West Philippine Sea.

00:41According to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and International Law,

00:45the Philippines has sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea.

00:54The adherence to the rule of law and the UNCLOS.

00:59According to House Speaker Martin Romualdez, this is an important step for the use of peace in the region.

01:05General references on easing tensions in the region to foster stability and peace.

01:21In the plenary session, the President called for connectivity and resilience

01:27to face the complicated challenges in ASEAN.

01:30He also emphasized the importance of cooperation to boost the digital economy.

01:36ASEAN members helped to enhance the digital skills,

01:40invest in cybersecurity protection and digital infrastructure.

01:45ASEAN's digital economy is expected to reach US$2 trillion.

01:50It is certain that it will produce more opportunities like jobs.

01:55The President also emphasized the importance of climate change

01:59and the adherence to sustainable agriculture practices

02:02to meet food security and sustainable tourism.

02:06It is also time for women to be more involved and equal in farming.

02:13And to recognize the role of women in resolving conflicts and promoting peace.

02:19The Executive Board of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly

02:24along with the Business Advisory Council and ASEAN Youth also participated.

02:2810 ASEAN State Member Countries participated in the summit,

02:31including Timor-Leste as an observer in 44 and 45 ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
