00:07We expect that President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will hold 16 meetings

00:13at the ASEAN Summit in Lao People's Democratic Republic next week.

00:19Here, we expect that the President will give the right of the Philippines to the West Philippine Sea

00:27while assisting the interests of the country in ASEAN.

00:31We also expect that he will discuss the regional and international issues affecting the Indo-Pacific region.

00:40President Marcos will also witness the foreign minister of Luxembourg's

00:46Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, which is based on a peaceful resolution of conflicts in accordance with international law.

00:54He will also be part of the ASEAN Zero Emission Community Leaders' Meeting

00:59which will be hosted by the Green Economy and a bilateral meeting between Canada, New Zealand, Vietnam, and Japan.

01:08The Philippines will serve as the host of the International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security.

01:17This is the first time that a ministerial-level conference will be held in the country

01:23in accordance with international law.

01:25According to the Department of Foreign Affairs,

01:27Office of the Presidential Advisor on Peace and Reconciliation and Unity,

01:31Philippine Commission on Women,

01:33this meeting is important to discuss the challenges faced by women and how this will be addressed.

01:41It is expected that this will be the result of the Manila Declaration

01:45which is a far-reaching commitment for peacekeeping and peacebuilding activities.

01:51This will also include swift action against sexual and gender violence

01:55and women's contribution to their duties in the process of peace.

02:01The ICWPS will be held from October 28 to October 30 in Pasay City.
