00:00Following the continued increase of the pension in Israel and Hezbollah,
00:04President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ordered the immediate evacuation of our countrymen who are being held there.

00:16While fighting for the assistance of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Vientiane, Laos,
00:24President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ordered the rescue of Filipinos who are being held in the Middle East.
00:31This was after Israel and Hezbollah became involved.
00:35President Marcos assisted in a virtual conference held by a high-ranking government official.
00:40This was to quickly evacuate our countrymen.
00:45I asked to speak to all of the concerned agencies
00:50to find out how we can evacuate the Filipinos who are being held in Lebanon.
00:59There are more than 400 now who would want to be repatriated.
01:04So basically we're just putting the plans together.
01:07How we will bring them back home as quickly as possible.
01:09President Marcos told Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin
01:13that the Foreign Affairs, National Defense, and Migrant Workers
01:18must be prepared and bring the assets of the Filipinos to Beirut
01:21so that the Filipinos who are being held in the Middle East can be quickly evacuated.
01:25DND Secretary Gilbert Yodoro promised to repatriate the Filipinos
01:30when they receive a clearance from Lebanon.
01:33Israel's warplanes have attacked Beirut more than 30 times.
01:38None of the Filipinos were injured in the airstrike.
01:41The third alarm in Lebanon was raised
01:44which means that there is a high risk of security.
01:47Filipinos are being careful in the area.
01:49We have given a directive to our shipowners
01:55to not go to dangerous places.
01:58And so that's what we did.
02:01There are 1,721 applications for repatriation.
02:05More than half a thousand have already been evacuated.
02:08The Filipinos were given P150,000
02:12to receive reintegration assistance and psychosocial intervention.
