00:00Ladies and gentlemen, this is it, the fight you've all been waiting for, in the blue
00:26corner, Rocky Balboa!
00:29So this is a game that got me shouting at the top of my voice, Adrian, after every match,
00:36but if you never saw Rocky, this means absolutely nothing to you.
00:40Now I've played Thrill of the Fight, and really enjoyed that one, but Creed has an
00:45actual story to it, though it's not a very long story, I do wish they had given us another
00:50two hours at least.
00:53This game will however get you into a sweat, and make your body hurt the next day, well
00:58that's if you're out of shape like I currently am.
01:01I think the training system in this is really good, so the better you do at training, the
01:07better stamina you will have for your coming fight, it just makes sense.
01:12The gyms all look super good, with all the gear and trophies and the photos and posters
01:18etc.
01:19The boxing characters also look superb, you can instantly tell who is who, and then the
01:25clubs and stadiums all look so good too.
01:29I do think there could have been some improvements, like having a commentators desk at the live
01:35arenas, and maybe for championship fights, creating a buzz by having ring walks, just
01:41those simple little touches.
01:43The fighting in this game is genuinely fun, it's so satisfying when you get a combination
01:49together.
01:50The other fighters duck, cover and punch fairly well, though again, I think this could do
01:56with some improvement.
01:57I like the knockdown system, it's great how you are given a chance to cover and block
02:03as your opponent is going hell for leather on you, and then if you get knocked down,
02:08you have an outer body experience, where you have to run to get back into your body, and
02:14then each time you get knocked down, you have further to run.
02:18Now menus are really simple to understand.
02:21You can choose between career, free play, pvp and options.
02:27Career will offer you rise to glory and legacy.
02:30Rise to glory is the main story of creed, whereas legacy starts as creed, but then is
02:37handed over to other fighters and so.
02:40Now I tried playing online, but after 5 minutes I couldn't find anyone to box, so I'm guessing
02:47there's not an active community in this game.
02:50Playing this game has made me realise that the quest really needs a great boxing game.
02:56Like this game would be perfect if it would introduce a heavyweight division with about
03:0250 fighters in, and then you have to work your way up to get the belts, then have to
03:08defend it after.
03:09Add all the great heavyweight fighters that ever existed in it, chuck in some customisable
03:15options like glove colours and trunks, then you've got the makings of a great sports fitness
03:21game.
03:22I can remember playing Mike Tyson's boxing on the Playstation 1 with a group of my mates
03:28and we just had a blast, so let's see what happens in the future.
03:32Keep your eyes on Golden Gloves, I'll be reviewing this one soon, and it's improving on every
03:38update.
03:39Without a doubt, Creed is a fantastic boxing game.
03:43It's more arcade than the serious boxing simulator, but it really does have some strong points
03:48to it.
03:49But for it's price, it really does need an extra 2 hours of campaign story.
03:54Released on the 21st of May 2019, it does still stand strong today as a game.
