00:00What a guy. I'm banging on the street. What a guy. I'm loose on the beat. Stop!

00:12Now I just picked this game up on a 50% sale and I actually can't believe how good it is.

00:36It reminds me of the very first Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation 1 only this is in

00:41a kayak. Stealth is the point in this game. Don't get spotted. Try to do everything as

00:47quietly as possible. Make it like you were never even there. You will be rewarded for

00:53stealth, survival and distractions but deducted if you are seen or killed or kill enemies

01:00that are not high value targets. Menus are easy to understand. You have the choice to

01:06play campaign, free play or challenges. You also have options where you can adjust levels

01:13of music, sound effects, voices and subtitles on or off as well as gameplay settings and

01:19language choices. Before you set off on your fish mission you can choose to play as a new

01:25recruit, skilled operative or veteran agent. I'd recommend setting it in the middle at

01:31skilled operative. The gear you set off with is a pistol with a silencer, a machine gun

01:37on your back, a sniper rifle on the right of your kayak, a viewfinder at the front left

01:42just under your ammo supply and on the right of that space for noise making grenades which

01:48are used for distractions. Then in the middle you have a radar which will tell you the alert

01:54level of enemies and if you are in the open or hidden. The weapons all work great from

02:01shooting control panels or enemies with your silencer or picking off a high value target

02:07with your sniper rifle or getting into a gunfight and using your machine gun. Controlling the

02:13kayak is easy and it feels great, like it would in real life which is good seeing as

02:18the entire game is spent sitting in it. The paddle oars react perfectly from slow moving

02:24through the water to fastly gliding to get away and the turning is also perfectly executed.

02:32The environments are of a very decent size, well designed and look fantastic, plenty to

02:38look at and observe as you plan your route to try and make it past hot zones. Enemies

02:44are well placed with most often things nearby to have options to shoot to cause a distraction.

02:51There are plenty of reach to hiding and when you are hidden your radar will inform you.

02:56There are also mines in the water so don't touch them. Once you complete missions it

03:02will become available to you as a free play. Also weapons become available and new challenges

03:08in the challenge mode. The audio is great in this game and as a stealth game it really

03:13does need to be great. All those noises from the water to enemies talking or coughing or

03:19whistling, the radios or televisions that are on, the machinery noises, alarms, vehicles,

03:27it all sits perfectly alongside the gameplay. Something I like about the audio is that you

03:33can hear enemies over the radio but if you are close enough to that enemy you hear his

03:39voice as well as him over the radio. It's a small detail that has a large immersive

03:51impact. There are 7 levels in the campaign and all together you can expect to get around

03:583 hours of gameplay out of this. Then you also have 14 challenges and a further 14 DLC

04:06so plenty to get on with. The story is not out of this world but it does enough to get you through

04:13the game satisfied. For the price I paid I thought it was fair but I'm not sure I'd want to pay $30

04:20for it. For $30 I would expect at least another 4 or 5 levels in campaign or at least 2 hours more

04:28gameplay. If you get a chance to pick this up for $20 or less then I would suggest most definitely

04:34to go for it. I really enjoyed playing Phantom Covid Ops. I did my best to do everything by

04:41stealth but next time I play it I'm gonna try shooting my way through. Playing this has made

04:47me want to have Metal Gear Solid VR now so fingers crossed. So on that I score Phantom
