00:00I've played many tennis games on the Quest and I don't even like tennis but
00:18I gotta say that Matchpoint Tennis is almost the best. Now why almost I'm
00:24hearing you ask? Well let me start by saying that I am only playing the
00:30limited version. It gives you a couple of opponents and a couple of courts to play.
00:35When you buy the full version of the game it will unlock all eight tennis
00:39court locations, all the gear, rackets and the ten opponents. Now this game
00:45straightaway looks amazing. As soon as you load into the lobby you know you're
00:50about to play something special. You can choose between single player or
00:55multiplayer. Single player will offer a range of opponents from easy to
01:00difficult. A multiplayer you can go online to play randoms or you can make
01:05your own room and invite your friends. Now three things I noticed straightaway.
01:10In multiplayer I couldn't find anyone to play with so I don't think this has any
01:15base at all. The next thing I noticed is that there isn't any doubles matches.
01:20It's not the end of the world but I think this would be a fun option to have.
01:24And lastly and this is my biggest fault with this game. There is no campaign mode,
01:29no leagues to play in. I strongly believe a game like this absolutely needs to
01:35have a few tournaments for you to compete in. Otherwise what's the point?
01:39Now what I can say about this game is everything looks so fantastic. The courts
01:45and the locations look amazing. The choice in rackets is great and they also
01:50look so good. You can customize your player or you can pick your meta avatar
01:56which I thought was pretty cool. When you have selected your opponent you can then
02:01choose match mode. Now this is where it hints that maybe a doubles might be
02:06introduced in the future but at the moment it's singles only. Then you can
02:12decide to go in for a quick match or pick a full match where you can decide
02:17on number of sets. One or three and then games per set which is four or six.
02:23Then decide if you want match tiebreak on or off. Then select your court. Each court
02:29is going to have a different surface. Clay, hard or grass. And then the speeds
02:35will be slow, medium slow, medium or medium fast. I didn't see any fast at the
02:41moment. Now the physics of this tennis game are the best I've experienced of
02:46all the tennis games and there are plenty of options you can select to
02:50tailor to your needs like auto teleport, auto run or manual run. Then left or
02:57right-handed you can choose between a few grip hold styles also. The menus are
03:03very well laid out and easy to understand. The audio sounds great and
03:08complements parts of these games perfectly. There is a tutorial to walk
03:13you through how to play the game and then there is also a really fantastic
03:18practice feature where you can practice against a ball machine that offers
03:22plenty of options or you can practice your serves or receiving serves and
03:27lastly you can practice your rallying against an AI opponent. Now if they could
03:33add a few leagues into this game I would buy it in a flash but as it stands
03:39as brilliant as it is there's nothing here that makes me want to buy the full
03:44version. I would stick with first-person tennis where there are leagues to
03:49compete in. If you are a huge tennis fan then you might consider buying this now
03:53but the free version will be enough to keep you going for now. I'm certainly
03:58interested in seeing where this game will be in another six months or so. So
04:03on that I score Matchpoint Tennis a 38 out of 45. You can find my scoring system
04:10in the description section below. Now please tap that like button if you find
