Assassins Creed Nexus REVIEW on the Quest 3

I can't begin to tell you how much I have loved playing through this game.
It is absolutely stunning.

Embody three legendary Assassins in this all-new full-length Assassin’s Creed action-adventure game. Experience firsthand the thrill of parkour, the rush of combat, and the tension of stealth as you become the Assassin like never before. Uncover new memories from Ezio Auditore, Kassandra, and Connor as you work to stop Abstergo from gaining the power to manipulate people’s beliefs.

PARKOUR: Feel the exhilaration of parkouring freely across expansive open maps. Explore Renaissance Italy, Ancient Greece, and Colonial America. Immerse yourself in history as you engage with NPCs and interact with historical figures like Leonardo Da Vinci.

COMBAT: Deploy your Hidden Blade with a flick of your wrist. Use your hands to block, parry, counterattack, and duel a variety of enemies. Immerse yourself in the action with weapons including bow and arrows, swords, throwing knives, the tomahawk, the crossbow, the Hidden Blade, and bombs, all of which attach to your full-body avatar.

STEALTH: Sneak up on a target from behind or surprise them with an air assassination. Evade enemies by blending into a crowd or distract them with objects in the environment.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR features all of the iconic gameplay from the series, including the dazzling Leap of Faith. You will become the Assassin, choosing how to achieve your missions as you sneak, traverse, and fight your way through open maps in an unforgettable campaign.

00:00Assassin's Creed Nexus. Simply a magnificent game. I was blown away by the size of this
00:21game and how full it looked and all of those small details that paint a bigger picture
00:27such as the candle lights that have smoke coming off them, the reflections of light
00:33off the marble and the wood. It's just so beautiful to look at. The random conversations
00:38of people around you as you walk through the streets. I even pushed a woman out of my way
00:44and then every time she saw me she ran away. Whilst you don't get to choose which character
00:49you play, you do play a few different characters throughout the story and the story is a strong
00:55feature in this game and it's a nice change to play a game that has one. The controls
01:00are easy to master and you get to learn them in the first level or so. So it teaches you
01:06a little at a time and gives you some time to master it until it teaches you something
01:11else. The weapon selection is exactly right for this game. The concealed knives up your
01:18sleeve is just brilliant. A flick of the wrist and out they come. A bow and arrow,
01:23crossbow, sword, tomahawk, smoke bombs, but my favourite is the throwing knives. And as
01:32you progress through the game, you will level up, meaning you can start carrying more throwing
01:37arrows or more arrows for your bow or smoke bombs. Now, I'm not a huge fan on the way
01:44the enemies fight or behave in this game. It feels a little dated, a little simple.
01:50If you have ever played Dungeons of Eternity, then you know what I mean when I wish they
01:56would fight like that, fast and fluent, instead of the way they do in this game. Sneaking
02:03up on them just feels so easy and running away and hiding from them at times, I felt
02:09like I was up against the dumbest army in existence. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to
02:15sneak up on someone and throw them off a building or off a ship or jump on them from above and
02:21I find it very satisfying throwing the knives at them. Then even hiding the body, because
02:28if you don't hide the body, another guard may discover it and raise the alarm, which
02:33brings more troops to that area. As for the levels, there are 15 levels to this game and
02:41they are all of a decent size. There is a lot to explore within each level and all have
02:49hidden things to collect, so it makes you really explore each level and jumping around
02:54off the roofs and climbing up the walls is just brilliant. And honestly, every level
03:03is just simply a masterpiece, just getting to explore each level is worth the money alone.
03:11Now whilst there are puzzles in this game, I don't feel like they are very challenging.
03:17There are a couple that require some luck, but most are solved with hardly any thought.
03:24When I heard Assassin's Creed was coming to VR, I just didn't believe they could make
03:29it work, but boy was I wrong. You are going to get well over 15 hours of storied gameplay
03:36out of this and then many more from revisiting those levels and completing challenges you
03:42may have missed. This game is worth every single bit of money you pay for it. So on
03:51that note, I score this game a 39 out of 45 and you can find my scoring system in
03:58the description section below. Now please enjoy the rest of my gameplay and I'd be
04:03grateful if you could leave me a like if you enjoyed this video. Also comment if you have
04:09played this and what your favourite parts of it are and please subscribe as it really
04:15helps me out. Thanks guys and I'll see you in the next one.
04:45Have at you!
05:00It's an archive of memories stretching back through time. We use a technology called
05:07animus to visit these memories, seeing them through the eyes of those who lived them.
05:12I have commissioned for Carnival, the finest craftsman has been stolen. I would have loved
05:23So beautiful.
05:54Oh, hey, not yet.
06:01It's a crossbow without a sword.
