00:00Now being a Welshman, that's Wales in the United Kingdom in case you didn't know, we
00:18have lots of castles. We in fact have a castle in my town and also now that I've been living
00:25in Japan for the last four years, I was looking forward to playing this game a lot. Now with
00:33the just released Assassin's Creed, it's going to be hard not to compare this game with that
00:39one. But Quest Games now should be aiming high to compete with games like Assassin's
00:44Creed and the old Walking Dead Saints and Sinners. So with that said, whilst this game
00:51looks beautiful in places, the gameplay has plenty of room for improvements. I wish you
00:58could climb more buildings and be a bit more free with interacting with the surroundings.
01:04And the enemies, I feel like they should be losing limbs when you chop at them with your
01:08blades and that their fight IQ should be better. But it is very enjoyable using different weapons
01:16on them and your trusty dog companion who's very useful. Weapons are exactly what you
01:24want and a little bit more. It's like levelling up as you progress through the game. Sword
01:30and dagger to start, then things get introduced as you progress like ninja stars, blow darts,
01:38a bow and arrow, mines, smoke bomb, grenade bombs and a gun. So much fun to be had here.
01:46The only gripe that I have here is that the ninja stars, most of the time they don't throw
01:52correctly when trying to throw down on someone. They only work if you are on the same level
01:58height that you are. The controls can be a little tricky, like mainly putting your weapons
02:04away and trying to select the weapon that you want. It takes some time getting used
02:09to and throwing a grenade. I think I've only thrown two successfully in the 20 that I've
02:15thrown so far. The enemies look great. I mean, who doesn't love a good old Japanese shogun,
02:22right? But not all can be killed with an arrow from a distance as they have different types
02:27of armour. So you will need to get close and personal with some. The bosses take some extra
02:34Not simple, but not hard either. The sword fighting is fun, but it could do with some
02:40improvements because once you find the rhythm of just sidestepping out the way as they do
02:45their sequence of attacks and then striking at them, it becomes easy. The level sizes are quite
02:51decent and they look great. But as I mentioned, I just wish you could interact with it more
02:58like climbing or jumping around. You have a grapple hook that you shoot, but it can only be
03:03used on certain gold gongs. The story is quite decent. It's all in Nihongo, Japanese, but there
03:11are English subtitles. The anime picture stills between levels telling the story look fantastic,
03:18though it would be nice to have animated sequences from time to time as well. Now,
03:23despite some of the negative parts about this game, I have had a lot of fun playing it through.
03:30You're looking at getting around 8 to 10 hours of gameplay from Arashi. But if it's between this
03:36game or Assassin's Creed, then get Assassin's Creed. Wait for this game to go on sale or wait
03:43to see what the future updates bring. It's not terrible, but it does need some work. So with that
03:50said, I score this game a 26 out of 35 and you can find my scoring system in the description
03:59section below. Now check out the rest of my gameplay. Give me a like if you find this video
04:05helpful. Leave me a comment if you are playing this game and leave your thoughts of what you
04:11think, what you like, what you don't like. And please subscribe if you haven't already.
04:15Cheers guys, and I'll catch you on the next one.
