00:00:00Previously on The Voice...
00:00:03If I had you on my team, it would be like the most amazing little cherry on top.
00:00:07Oh my God!
00:00:11That is my team!
00:00:13For Adam and Guy, the battle was finally over.
00:00:17I'm gonna go with Guy.
00:00:19Team Guy is full.
00:00:21Yeah!
00:00:23Oh yeah!
00:00:25Tonight...
00:00:27And so it begins.
00:00:29The massive final round of Blinds kicks off.
00:00:33Oh wow, I'm still recovering from that.
00:00:36And we've saved the best till last.
00:00:39By far the best talent we've ever seen on the show.
00:00:42I had full body goose bumps. You're a true artist.
00:00:45I'm disappointed that I don't have any more space on my team mate.
00:00:48Leanne and Kate go head to head.
00:00:51I have one spot left on my team.
00:00:54So do I. More importantly, I do.
00:00:58She's a bit self absorbed.
00:01:00Pulling out all the stops in the last ditch battle to close off their teams.
00:01:06I need you on my team.
00:01:08Oh my God.
00:01:09I need you to choose team Kate.
00:01:12We need like referee outfits and a whistle.
00:01:20Hi, my name is Annalise. I'm 27 years old from Adelaide.
00:01:23Bling bling.
00:01:24I work in a small fashion boutique.
00:01:26I do the photos for the website and the social media.
00:01:29It's so much fun being able to dress up.
00:01:31I get to put on different outfits all day long for work.
00:01:33Like what a job.
00:01:35Bling bling.
00:01:36I'm engaged to a professional MMA fighter.
00:01:42His name's Antonio and we've been together for five years.
00:01:45We met through friends and I was completely off him because he was a professional fighter.
00:01:50And I was like, who does that? That's the weirdest job ever.
00:01:52And then of course I got to know him and I got to know the sport.
00:01:55And so yeah, I'm getting married this year.
00:01:58Antonio, you're an MMA fighter.
00:02:00Yes.
00:02:01I don't know what that is.
00:02:03Essentially it's two men inside of a cage fighting over a paycheck.
00:02:07Oh, okay.
00:02:08That's simple.
00:02:09Now it's a mixed martial arts.
00:02:11It's a bit of fun.
00:02:12It's on the weekends.
00:02:13Not a normal job.
00:02:14Not a normal job.
00:02:15So you guys travel a lot because of this, right?
00:02:17So he trains in Florida, which means we travel back and forth between Australia and Florida quite a bit,
00:02:22which is crazy for me because obviously I sing.
00:02:24So when I go overseas, I'm trying to just pretty much sing wherever I can.
00:02:30I just always had this vision of doing more with my singing.
00:02:33So that's why I'm hopeful that this is a positive opportunity for me.
00:02:39For my blind audition, I'll be singing Into You by Ariana Grande.
00:02:43It is a big song.
00:02:45I think a lot of people are expecting a lot when you sing an Ariana Grande song.
00:02:50So I feel like it's a lot of pressure.
00:02:52And I feel like I'm going to freak out if the chair does turn because I just can't even imagine it.
00:03:00I think it's going to be so scary, but I hope that I have what it takes.
00:03:05I just want to sing.
00:03:14Let's go baby, let's go.
00:03:22Let's go.
00:03:30Good luck.
00:03:42Solid start.
00:03:47Beautiful.
00:03:52Oh baby, look what you started.
00:03:55The temperature's rising in here.
00:03:58Is this going to happen?
00:04:00I've been waiting and waiting for you to make a move.
00:04:05Before I make a move.
00:04:11So baby, come and light me up.
00:04:13And maybe I'll let you out.
00:04:15I know it's a little bit dangerous.
00:04:17But baby, that's how I want it.
00:04:20A little less conversation.
00:04:22And a little more touch my body.
00:04:24Cause I'm so into you, into you, into you.
00:04:29Got everyone watching us.
00:04:31So baby, let's keep it secret.
00:04:33A little bit scandalous.
00:04:35But baby, don't let them see it.
00:04:38A little less conversation.
00:04:40And a little more touch my body.
00:04:42Cause I'm so into you, into you, into you.
00:04:47Oh yeah.
00:04:49So come light me up my baby.
00:04:52Sing.
00:05:00Cause I'm so into you, into you, into you.
00:05:12Hello, hello.
00:05:14Hi.
00:05:15What's your name?
00:05:16My name is Annalise.
00:05:17I'm 27 years old from Adelaide, South Australia.
00:05:21Wow.
00:05:22First off, Ariana Grande is super hard to tackle.
00:05:25And you did an incredible job.
00:05:27Like your pitch was beautiful.
00:05:29Those notes were clear.
00:05:31And yeah, when I turned around, what a beautiful girl you are.
00:05:34The one thing I'd love to see from you,
00:05:36I wanted to feel you like getting into it.
00:05:38I know.
00:05:39And I was really wanting to do that.
00:05:40I think my nerves just sort of kicked in.
00:05:42I definitely felt those nerves when I saw the facts of your channel.
00:05:44I'm not going to lie.
00:05:45If you know you're nervous and you know that song takes a lot out of you,
00:05:48there's a lot of breath control that's involved.
00:05:50Sometimes you have to make that decision to just hold back.
00:05:52Yes.
00:05:53And I totally get it.
00:05:54But I would love to see those two things meld together for you.
00:05:56Save it for the next round.
00:05:57Yeah.
00:05:58Yeah.
00:05:59Okay.
00:06:00Which is exciting because there is a next round.
00:06:02So thank you.
00:06:03You have such a classic pop voice.
00:06:05And I have yet to have that classic pop voice on my team.
00:06:08I need you on my team.
00:06:09I would love to work with you.
00:06:11It would be a blast.
00:06:13I think we're going to have a great time together.
00:06:14What?
00:06:15Can I just say it's amazing to see you here
00:06:17because obviously Can't Fight the Moonlight was one of my favourite songs.
00:06:20Oh, thank you.
00:06:21And travelling overseas with my fiancé.
00:06:24We've been in America.
00:06:25He's a pro MMA fighter.
00:06:26And we came across an old, literally looked exactly like a Coyote Ugly Bar.
00:06:30I was like, get me up there.
00:06:31Oh, my God.
00:06:32Can't Fight the Moonlight.
00:06:33Did you get on the bar?
00:06:34Didn't get on the bar.
00:06:35So I feel like I never got my chance.
00:06:36So it looks like we need to do that.
00:06:37I think I might have to take you out to a bar.
00:06:39We might have to do that.
00:06:40I think we need to do that.
00:06:41We might have to do that.
00:06:43You've got some work to do, Kate.
00:06:45I know.
00:06:46This is making me a bit uncomfortable.
00:06:48I was just mesmerised.
00:06:50I wanted to dive into the pool of your voice
00:06:53and just stay in there for a long time.
00:06:56I think you made the right choice not moving around, actually.
00:07:00And I think we have seen quite a few other artists go wrong with that,
00:07:04trying too much too soon.
00:07:06This show is all the voice and we can't see you.
00:07:08Yes.
00:07:09I think a guy's 100% right.
00:07:11Let's save that.
00:07:12Let us, the two of us, save that for the next round.
00:07:16I can hear your voice going all sorts of different places.
00:07:20I mean, the pop thing, obviously.
00:07:22That's where you live naturally and easily.
00:07:25It is.
00:07:26But I can also hear you sing country.
00:07:28I mean, I possibly shouldn't have said that.
00:07:30Oh, I was about to say.
00:07:31It might have been the wrong answer.
00:07:33You are not doing yourself favours.
00:07:35I would just...
00:07:38You just have such a natural instrument.
00:07:41I would love to have you on Team Kate.
00:07:43What a compliment. Thank you.
00:07:46My team is closed.
00:07:47My team is full, which is a shame
00:07:49because that vocal was so clean and so yummy
00:07:53and shimmery and buttery.
00:07:56It was flawless.
00:07:58Now, I will offer one piece of constructive.
00:08:01Please.
00:08:02If I were walking by the outside of the building,
00:08:05I would have thought that was the Ariana Grande track playing.
00:08:09And that's not a diss at all
00:08:11because Ariana is one of the greatest voices right now
00:08:13that we have in contemporary pop music.
00:08:15You didn't quite make it your own.
00:08:17Yes.
00:08:18But I bet you can.
00:08:19No, definitely.
00:08:20And moving forward,
00:08:21picking one of these two amazing coaches
00:08:23is which coach do you feel is going to help
00:08:25make sure you make these things?
00:08:27Signature, how are you going to be an artist
00:08:30on this competition as opposed to a great singer?
00:08:32Yeah.
00:08:33Don't.
00:08:34It's already tricky enough.
00:08:36Thank you so much.
00:08:37So, I just want to come over and meet you
00:08:42and look you in the eye
00:08:43and tell you how beautiful you are.
00:08:45Thank you so much.
00:08:46And give you a hug.
00:08:47I think I might just come and hang out too.
00:08:50Oh, hello.
00:08:52Oh, you look beautiful.
00:08:54We might just stand here and, you know, wait for you.
00:08:56We'll just have a chat.
00:08:57Oh, my God, stop it.
00:08:58No, no pressure, no pressure.
00:09:00What to do, what to do.
00:09:02Guy, we need like referee outfits and a whistle, you know?
00:09:05Yes.
00:09:08I need you on my team.
00:09:09Oh, my God.
00:09:10I need you to choose team pay.
00:09:12I need a pop artist.
00:09:16Oh, my God, stop it.
00:09:18I love you both.
00:09:19I am so, so honored.
00:09:21Look at her face.
00:09:24Oh, my God, this is so hard.
00:09:26I have to go.
00:09:34Leanne.
00:09:35Yes.
00:09:36God, stop it.
00:09:37That's our team.
00:09:38I love it.
00:09:39Yes.
00:09:40I'm so excited.
00:09:42Damn it.
00:09:43Congratulations.
00:09:44Thank you guys so much.
00:09:50Ouch.
00:09:51I mean, you got on your knees.
00:09:53You got on your entire body.
00:09:56The tables will turn.
00:10:00I'm not clapping.
00:10:03Let's go.
00:10:09Two women on the floor waiting for you, babe.
00:10:12I was getting jealous.
00:10:14Oh, my gosh.
00:10:15She has such a piercing, beautiful tone.
00:10:19She was so smooth with those notes.
00:10:21I mean, Ariana Grande is super hard to tackle,
00:10:23so she did such a great job.
00:10:25Let's go.
00:10:26Let's go and celebrate.
00:10:29All right, drinks on Annalise.
00:10:30Let's go.
00:10:31Drinks on Annalise.
00:10:32Oh, come on, babe.
00:10:33She's the star.
00:10:34I'm feeling amazing.
00:10:35I think I have some really,
00:10:37kind of a really eclectic group of people,
00:10:39very different, like, in all their different styles.
00:10:42I finally have a great pop girl on my team,
00:10:45and I only have one spot left,
00:10:47but I'm very excited to see who I end up with.
00:10:53One on over, Emma.
00:10:55Should we come here, mate?
00:10:57Have a seat.
00:10:58Good boy.
00:10:59Have a seat.
00:11:00Good boy.
00:11:01Cool.
00:11:08I am so excited.
00:11:11I might scream.
00:11:13Hopefully not.
00:11:14I do need to sing, unfortunately, so.
00:11:17My name is Emma Duncan.
00:11:19I am 18 years old, and I have my dog, Kobi.
00:11:22He's my best friend,
00:11:23and he is also my emotional support animal.
00:11:26He alerts me when I'm feeling dizzy
00:11:28and when I'm going to pass out,
00:11:30and I really don't know where I would be without him.
00:11:34When I was 15 years old, my life did get flipped upside down.
00:11:39I was diagnosed with acute recurrent pancreatitis.
00:11:43One day I was just at school,
00:11:45and the next day, all of a sudden,
00:11:47I was just in this enormous amount of pain,
00:11:50like, pain that I had never felt before
00:11:53and pain that I eventually had to get used to.
00:11:56And I think it really knocked me for six because...
00:12:03..I went from being a normal teenager
00:12:07to just being tube-fed and being wheeled on a wheelchair.
00:12:15The only thing that made my reality bearable was Kobi,
00:12:20and just being able to sing.
00:12:22That was the one thing I could do.
00:12:24I could still sing.
00:12:26But singing can be painful for me.
00:12:29It does hurt, and I do get extremely dizzy when I hit a high note.
00:12:37I'm hoping the pain doesn't get the better of me in my audition.
00:12:42That is something that I'm quite nervous about.
00:12:46The pain definitely has the potential
00:12:49to make my voice shake in not a good way.
00:12:56But it is literally my dream to be here.
00:13:00I've worked really hard,
00:13:02so I am just hoping that I can do it.
00:13:16Here she comes. Oh, my God. Look.
00:13:27This is the voice!
00:13:34This is the voice!
00:13:46That's a good boy. You're all right. Sit down, sit down.
00:13:50There's a dog. A dog? A dog.
00:14:15Wow.
00:14:29Wow.
00:14:40Wow.
00:14:42I love this song.
00:14:45Wow.
00:15:15Wow.
00:15:31Oh, my God!
00:15:42Oh, my God.
00:15:45Wow.
00:15:49Welcome. My name's Emma Duncan.
00:15:51I'm 18 years old, and I'm from Melbourne.
00:15:53Oh, cool.
00:15:57Who have you got over here with you?
00:15:59Oh, that's my best friend. He's Kobe.
00:16:01He's a bit antsy at the moment.
00:16:03Fair enough.
00:16:05Oh, I'm cute.
00:16:07He's like, you guys didn't turn.
00:16:09Don't talk about me like that.
00:16:11That's rude.
00:16:13He's my absolute world, yeah.
00:16:15Yeah, I love him very much.
00:16:17He got me through absolutely everything I've been through,
00:16:19so I feel super lucky and stoked to have him here
00:16:21and just be here in front of you guys, yeah.
00:16:23Is he a service animal?
00:16:25He's an emotional support animal.
00:16:27Yeah.
00:16:29It's actually been a pretty poor time for me lately.
00:16:31I've had lots of issues with my health,
00:16:33and I'm in constant pain,
00:16:35and there's all sorts of stuff going on.
00:16:37But, yeah, he kind of just taught himself
00:16:39to alert me when my heart rate's elevated
00:16:41and told me, so, yeah, I'm really blessed to have him.
00:16:43I love that.
00:16:45Oh, my God.
00:16:47I feel like your doggy wants to be
00:16:49on stage with you.
00:16:51Yeah.
00:16:53Look at him.
00:16:57Oh, my God.
00:16:59Aww.
00:17:01This is making me miss my baby so much.
00:17:03I know.
00:17:05I absolutely love that song.
00:17:07That's one of my favourite songs that you chose to sing.
00:17:09I have two spots left on my team,
00:17:11and, look, I was close,
00:17:13but I'm looking for
00:17:15the perfect voice,
00:17:17and I felt there were a few rhythmic issues
00:17:19going on in the verse.
00:17:21Something I really love about that song
00:17:23is the sort of the triplet feel.
00:17:27And I feel like you were sitting
00:17:29way behind the beat.
00:17:31Yeah, some of it felt like a cool choice,
00:17:33and then other places it just felt like
00:17:35you were struggling.
00:17:37Absolutely.
00:17:39I think it's just more experience for you, honestly.
00:17:41It's just to hone your craft,
00:17:43get some more experience underneath your belt,
00:17:45and come back.
00:17:49Yeah, you know, my team's closed.
00:17:51We didn't turn around,
00:17:53but I felt your commitment
00:17:55to the song,
00:17:57and hats off to you for coming today.
00:18:01Despite challenges that you've had,
00:18:03when you follow music as medicine,
00:18:05it's still an amazing thing,
00:18:07so thanks for coming and sharing your gift.
00:18:09Thank you guys so much.
00:18:11I really appreciate your time.
00:18:19She's adorable.
00:18:21Good job, honey.
00:18:23You did so well.
00:18:25I miss my dog.
00:18:27You know how hard it is to get a dog
00:18:29from the States into Australia?
00:18:31Ask Johnny Depp.
00:18:33That's right.
00:18:35Still to come on the final
00:18:37Night of the Blinds...
00:18:39She's a bit self-absorbed.
00:18:41Leanne and Kate are pulling no punches.
00:18:43I have one spot left
00:18:45on my team.
00:18:47So do I. More importantly, I do.
00:18:49As a massive
00:18:51final parade of artists.
00:18:53A 16-year-old
00:18:55songbird.
00:18:57My ultimate dream is to become a powerhouse singer
00:18:59just like Mariah Carey.
00:19:01I've always
00:19:03been way too nervous
00:19:05to sing in front of anyone.
00:19:07And a karaoke queen.
00:19:09This is definitely a big chance for me
00:19:11to show myself that I'm good enough.
00:19:13Sing for the last
00:19:15remaining spots on Team Kate
00:19:17and Team Leanne.
00:19:31Does she have one more
00:19:33an hour, Leanne?
00:19:35Yeah, and I've got two to go.
00:19:37Can you imagine being the auditionees
00:19:39right now? Knowing
00:19:41there's only three left.
00:19:43Dang, this is going to be wild.
00:19:45And there's a lot riding on this decision.
00:19:47We're getting to the pointy end of the blinds.
00:19:49Last day of the blinds is always
00:19:51the most fierce, I think.
00:19:53Especially when you've got one left.
00:19:55You're like, that needs to be special.
00:19:57Yeah.
00:19:59We keep waiting.
00:20:01Waiting on the world to
00:20:03change. We keep on
00:20:05waiting, yeah.
00:20:07Waiting on the world to change.
00:20:09That was a really solid
00:20:11performance. I think we're just starting
00:20:13to get to that point where we're being really,
00:20:15really picky about what we're looking for
00:20:17on our team. But don't
00:20:19let this discourage you at all. You did a fantastic
00:20:21job.
00:20:23I've got a
00:20:25hundred million
00:20:27reasons to walk away.
00:20:29But baby,
00:20:31I just need one good
00:20:33one to say.
00:20:37Can't you
00:20:39give me what I'm needing?
00:20:41I think the nerves
00:20:43just got in the way.
00:20:45I'm a little bit nervous.
00:20:47But that's okay. You should just
00:20:49take this as a great learning experience.
00:20:51You are my only.
00:20:53No need to worry.
00:20:55Baby, are you down, down, down,
00:20:57down, down?
00:20:59Down,
00:21:01down,
00:21:03down, down,
00:21:05down? Baby, don't worry.
00:21:07You are my only.
00:21:09Baby, are you down,
00:21:11down, down, down?
00:21:17I can tell you're a joyful guy.
00:21:19And we were grooving back there,
00:21:21totally. It was just a little bit of lack of
00:21:23control for me. That's the reason I didn't turn around.
00:21:25But you're such a joy to watch.
00:21:27Thank you so much. I was totally grooving
00:21:29in my seat, too. But it felt like
00:21:31maybe a little tiny bit of breathlessness
00:21:33through the song, which is
00:21:35totally understandable in this nerve-wracking
00:21:37situation. That's why
00:21:39I didn't turn. I think
00:21:41you need a couple more years under
00:21:43your belt. Do as many gigs
00:21:45as you possibly can. But I think
00:21:47this is just the beginning for you.
00:21:49Done deal. Thank you.
00:21:51Thank you so much.
00:21:53Thanks, guys.
00:21:57It was definitely disappointing
00:21:59not seeing the chairs turn.
00:22:01Hello.
00:22:03It's amazing.
00:22:05Hearing their feedback from the
00:22:07coaches, definitely it was really uplifting
00:22:09and I think I'm just going to keep at it, you know.
00:22:11I think there's more to come.
00:22:13My name is Nick Jade. I am from Brisbane
00:22:15and you won't believe it, but I am almost
00:22:1740 years old.
00:22:19I'm just a young spring chicken.
00:22:21Music's always been
00:22:23a massive part of family life for me
00:22:25from a very young age, I remember
00:22:27picking up a violin. And in fact, before that
00:22:29I played piano. Even
00:22:31to this day, I've got three
00:22:33kids. We'll jam at home.
00:22:35Just enjoying music
00:22:37together is super fun at home.
00:22:39Yeah, it's really awesome.
00:22:43If I was to be able to further
00:22:45my career as a solo musician,
00:22:47I'd love to be able to tell my own
00:22:49stories through music and it would
00:22:51mean so much to me to be able to teach
00:22:53my kids that anything is possible
00:22:55if you give it a go. That's why
00:22:57I've decided to do The Voice this year.
00:23:04I really hope that the coaches
00:23:06connect with my performance and that I can
00:23:08turn a chair tonight, because I do feel like
00:23:10I've got a lot to give and the opportunity
00:23:12to be mentored by one of those coaches
00:23:14would be phenomenal.
00:23:18Dad!
00:23:32Dad!
00:23:36Oh, it's our baby.
00:23:38I heard a baby. I know.
00:23:40So sweet.
00:23:42Go Dad!
00:23:44Love you.
00:23:48A man walks down the street
00:23:50he says, why am I stopped
00:23:52in the middle now? Why am I stopped
00:23:54in the middle? The rest of my life
00:23:56is so hard. I need a photo
00:23:58opportunity. I want a shot at
00:24:00redemption. Don't want to end up a cartoon
00:24:02in a cartoon graveyard.
00:24:04Bone digger, bone digger
00:24:06dogs in the moonlight
00:24:08far away my well-lit
00:24:10door. Just a bit of
00:24:12it, a bit of it, a bit of it
00:24:14far away my well-lit
00:24:16door. Just a bit of it, a bit of it
00:24:18he's months away from me, you know
00:24:20I don't find this stuff amusing
00:24:22anymore. If you
00:24:24be my bodyguard
00:24:26I can be a lone lost
00:24:28pal.
00:24:30If I can call you
00:24:32ready, be ready when you
00:24:34call, you can call me out.
00:24:36If you
00:24:38be my bodyguard
00:24:40I can be a lone
00:24:42lost pal.
00:24:44If I can call
00:24:46you ready, be ready when you
00:24:48call, you can call
00:24:50me out.
00:24:52If you call me out
00:24:54na, na, na, na
00:24:56na, na, na, na, na, na, call
00:24:58me out.
00:25:00If you call me out.
00:25:02If you call me out.
00:25:04If you call me out.
00:25:06Hello.
00:25:08Hello. Is your name Al?
00:25:10My name isn't Al, but my name is Nick.
00:25:12I'm a dad from Queensland. I'm 39.
00:25:14Oh, hello Nick.
00:25:16Now that I can see you, you seem
00:25:18like such a lovable character
00:25:20and the song makes sense too.
00:25:22Thank you. My cheeks are still hurting.
00:25:24Yeah, it was beautiful.
00:25:26It was really, really contagious
00:25:28your joy. Thank you. And just the energy
00:25:30behind it. But I think
00:25:32with that song Choice, it's sort
00:25:34of a bit monotone. It doesn't really
00:25:36give you the opportunity to show
00:25:38what your voice can really do. I just
00:25:40needed to hear some more shades and colours
00:25:42and again, yeah, we're at the pointy end.
00:25:44I've only got two slots left
00:25:46and that's why I
00:25:48didn't turn, but I really enjoyed it.
00:25:50No worries. Thank you very much.
00:25:52I agree. We were totally dancing back there.
00:25:54I mean, I totally enjoyed listening
00:25:56to you. I don't know if I would have
00:25:58ever chosen that song,
00:26:00but I enjoyed it and you definitely
00:26:02can sing. There's no question about that.
00:26:04Thank you. Thank you so much, Nick.
00:26:06Thank you guys. Thank you.
00:26:12Seems like a nice guy. Oh my gosh.
00:26:14I just want to go and hug him.
00:26:16I know. I feel the same way.
00:26:20Still to come.
00:26:22The final
00:26:24performances hit the stage.
00:26:26That was epic.
00:26:28Yeah, that was world
00:26:30class singing. It's bananas.
00:26:32Sending Kate and
00:26:34Leanne into a
00:26:36showdown. I have one spot
00:26:38left on my team.
00:26:40So do I. More importantly, I do.
00:26:42And
00:26:44he's a bit self-absorbed.
00:26:46Get the popcorn out.
00:27:00I only have one spot left
00:27:02and, you know, I think I
00:27:04would love to find a really great female voice.
00:27:06I just love people who are unique.
00:27:08I'm always looking for somebody who
00:27:10can give me goosebumps, can make
00:27:12me cry, can make me want to get up and dance.
00:27:14It's just all about the emotion, so
00:27:16yeah, we'll see what happens.
00:27:20We're nearing the
00:27:22team's being full.
00:27:24It's stinking. Yeah, I've
00:27:26had a whole lot more pressure
00:27:28that you can't even be in control of.
00:27:30You just kind of want someone to turn
00:27:32around now, like anyone.
00:27:38I'm Leticia and I'm 35.
00:27:40Oh, I love going on
00:27:42cruise ships. It's my favourite holiday.
00:27:46I'm always singing on the cruise ship.
00:27:48I enter every single karaoke
00:27:50competition. I just love
00:27:52to sing. Singing to me is
00:27:54my life. But it's really
00:27:56helpful for me to believe in myself.
00:27:58I've had so many
00:28:00setbacks.
00:28:02My husband and I have been married
00:28:04for 10 years and
00:28:06it's been such a huge struggle.
00:28:08Yeah.
00:28:10But eight years ago, we were blessed with our
00:28:12daughter,
00:28:14Charlie. You're going to
00:28:16crush it? She'll crush it,
00:28:18yeah.
00:28:20I think so too. She'll be amazing.
00:28:22I say to her, you
00:28:24saved mum, and she says,
00:28:26mum, you saved me. And so
00:28:28the song I'm singing today is
00:28:30Always Remember Us This Way by Lady
00:28:32Gaga. When I sing this song,
00:28:34I always think of my family.
00:28:36You're amazing. We're proud of you.
00:28:40There's a whole lot
00:28:42of pressure. I'm so
00:28:44scared of not
00:28:46making it or not being good enough.
00:28:48But this is
00:28:50definitely a big chance for me to
00:28:52be able to show myself
00:28:54that I'm good enough.
00:28:56Regardless
00:28:58of what anybody else says,
00:29:00I'm
00:29:02just going to pretend I'm singing in the shower
00:29:04because
00:29:06it's easy to sing in the shower.
00:29:08I'm just walking.
00:29:16Let's go,
00:29:18mama.
00:29:28That Arizona sky
00:29:30That Arizona sky
00:29:32That Arizona sky
00:29:34That Arizona sky
00:29:36Cool.
00:29:38Burning in your eyes
00:29:40Burning in your eyes
00:29:42You look at me
00:29:44and you make me want to catch on
00:29:46fire
00:29:48So when
00:29:50I'm all choked up
00:29:52And I can't find the words
00:29:56Every time
00:29:58we say goodbye
00:30:00Baby, it hurts
00:30:02Sing! Let's go!
00:30:04When the sun
00:30:06goes down
00:30:08And the band won't
00:30:10play
00:30:12I'll always remember
00:30:16This way
00:30:18I don't wanna
00:30:20be disappointed, baby
00:30:22Baby
00:30:24Ooh
00:30:26Yeah
00:30:28Ooh
00:30:30Yeah
00:30:32So when I'm
00:30:34all choked up
00:30:36And I can't find
00:30:38the words
00:30:40Every time
00:30:42we say goodbye
00:30:44Baby, it hurts
00:30:48When the sun
00:30:50goes down
00:30:52And the band won't
00:30:54play
00:30:56I'll always remember
00:31:00This way
00:31:02When you look
00:31:04at me
00:31:06And the hope
00:31:08will fade
00:31:10I'll always
00:31:12remember
00:31:14Us
00:31:16This way
00:31:20This way
00:31:26Let's go!
00:31:42Hi, gorgeous!
00:31:44What's your name?
00:31:46I'm Letitia. I'm 35 and I'm
00:31:48from New Zealand. Letitia?
00:31:52That was epic.
00:31:54Yeah. You just
00:31:56laid it all out
00:31:58on that stage.
00:32:04Were you nervous? I really
00:32:06was nervous.
00:32:08I didn't think anyone would turn for me.
00:32:10What?
00:32:12Your voice is bonkers.
00:32:14It's so good. Bonkers are like marbles
00:32:16in New Zealand.
00:32:20In my American vernacular
00:32:22that's like, it's crazy good.
00:32:24It's like bananas. By the way, Adam
00:32:26was not throwing his shoe at you because
00:32:28you don't have any on.
00:32:30No, it's something that
00:32:32when someone sings the house down
00:32:34and tears a song apart in the best
00:32:36way, you throw a shoe like
00:32:38good God.
00:32:40Honestly, I'm mad that
00:32:42I don't have any more
00:32:45I'm disappointed that I don't
00:32:47have any more space on my team.
00:32:49You're a beast. That was amazing.
00:32:51That was so stunning.
00:32:57How long have you been performing?
00:32:59I've had moments where I sing and then
00:33:01I go back under a rock.
00:33:03Why? What makes you want to crawl back
00:33:05under a rock, my love? Just what people
00:33:07say.
00:33:10If you're really good at something
00:33:12people will pull you down.
00:33:14And I made the mistake of
00:33:16listening to them for so long
00:33:18that it actually disabled me that I
00:33:20didn't get to share this gift with
00:33:22everyone. That's over now.
00:33:26What you have as a gift.
00:33:30And anybody, anybody
00:33:32that pops off with anything negative is
00:33:34simply jealous. Trust me.
00:33:36You are absolutely beautiful.
00:33:38You have a gorgeous, gorgeous
00:33:40voice. And I just felt
00:33:42every bit of you in that song.
00:33:44And if you can do that with
00:33:46some nerves, I wonder
00:33:48I don't wonder, I know
00:33:50what you can do when you
00:33:52come even more into your own.
00:33:54Because there's so much power
00:33:56there and there's this earthy, raspy
00:33:58like, just the kind of
00:34:00a lived in feeling.
00:34:02And it's just, it's so
00:34:04natural for you. I have one
00:34:06spot left
00:34:08on my team. She's a bit
00:34:10self-absorbed. I absolutely am.
00:34:12When it comes to wanting to work
00:34:14with this woman. Yes. And I
00:34:16would do anything to work with you.
00:34:18Let's go!
00:34:22Most of all, I'd love to get to know you because you're my kind
00:34:24of lady because you've got bare feet.
00:34:26And I go on stage all the time with bare feet.
00:34:28And so you and I are soul sisters.
00:34:30I have a feeling. No pun
00:34:32intended. Good pun.
00:34:34No pun intended. Welcome
00:34:36to the puns. I love it.
00:34:38Who do we have here? Who's
00:34:40with you? This is my beautiful
00:34:42husband and our daughter, Charlie.
00:34:48She wants to be a singer too.
00:34:50Of course. How old are you, Charlie?
00:34:52Eight. Eight?
00:34:54I have an eight year old.
00:34:56That's something we've got in common.
00:35:00That was world class
00:35:02singing.
00:35:04It really was.
00:35:06I felt
00:35:08every word of it
00:35:10and every choice you made
00:35:12vocally was emotionally
00:35:14driven. You're nearly
00:35:16there. You're nearly there. And in fact, I'm kind of
00:35:18glad that you're 35 because you've stepped
00:35:20into that song
00:35:22from this beautiful lived
00:35:24perspective and you can hear
00:35:26everything you've been through in
00:35:28your voice. And you're finally at that stage
00:35:30where you can own it. And that
00:35:32really shines through and it's powerful.
00:35:34Very powerful. And I
00:35:36need you on my team. That was stunning.
00:35:38I'm stunned.
00:35:44Is this the part
00:35:46where I make the decision?
00:35:48Yeah, this is the part.
00:35:50Just a moment?
00:35:52This is it. And I'm just saying
00:35:54you know, I would do anything.
00:35:56You name it.
00:35:58Name it. Really?
00:36:00Nice job.
00:36:30Is this the part
00:36:32where I make the decision?
00:36:34Yeah, this is the part.
00:36:36Just a moment?
00:36:38This is it.
00:36:54I'm gonna choose Leanne.
00:37:00Barefoot sisters.
00:37:02What?
00:37:04I love you.
00:37:06I'm so excited for you.
00:37:08You have the same hands.
00:37:14I'm actually gonna
00:37:16come back with you. You can breathe now.
00:37:18I broke
00:37:20the stage. There's a big slash
00:37:22in it. Oh, yeah.
00:37:24I'm so sorry, guys.
00:37:26Just take it out of a check.
00:37:28Just rock and roll.
00:37:30Did you hear what she did with that thing?
00:37:32I heard every note.
00:37:34I was like...
00:37:36She's a monster. That's amazing.
00:37:38I feel like I jumped
00:37:40on my block too quick.
00:37:42There are some pros to...
00:37:44It's called restraint, Adam.
00:37:46What is that?
00:37:48Hi.
00:37:50Aww.
00:37:52Hi.
00:37:54No doubt, mama.
00:37:58Should've seen their face.
00:38:00Yeah, somebody made me cry.
00:38:02My husband.
00:38:04So much love between you guys.
00:38:06Nice to meet you.
00:38:08It's so nice to meet you.
00:38:10Thank you for tuning.
00:38:12Oh, my gosh. You are well-deserving.
00:38:14Well, well-deserving.
00:38:16You're just gonna blossom from here.
00:38:18Thank you so much.
00:38:20It's so nice to meet you. I can't wait to work with you.
00:38:22Yeah, nice to meet you guys.
00:38:24Bye, my love. Have a good night.
00:38:26I'm just so excited to have
00:38:28both of the coaches turn for me
00:38:30and really excited to be working
00:38:32with Leanne.
00:38:34I just still can't believe
00:38:36that I'm gonna be on The Voice.
00:38:40I'm proud of you, mama.
00:38:42I'm proud of you too, baby.
00:38:44Are you hungry for pizza?
00:38:46Yeah.
00:38:48Should we go have cheese pizza?
00:38:50No.
00:38:52Oh!
00:38:54Well done.
00:38:56Well done.
00:38:58Yay.
00:39:04I feel like my team really
00:39:06shaped up beautifully. It's very eclectic,
00:39:08which really speaks to who I am.
00:39:14Natalie
00:39:16has this, like, powerhouse
00:39:18rock voice.
00:39:20Yeah.
00:39:24To hear you hold out
00:39:26those notes with such power
00:39:28and passion, your voice
00:39:30could sing anything. I can't wait to use
00:39:32that power of a voice on
00:39:34some insane songs.
00:39:38She's another one of my
00:39:40big voices. I have a lot of big voices on my team,
00:39:42which I love.
00:39:50Oh!
00:39:52So young,
00:39:54you have so much potential, so much ahead of you.
00:39:56Oh, my God, I'm overwhelmed.
00:40:00There's a lot of young talent on my team
00:40:02that I think has a lot of potential.
00:40:04My name's Cookie Robinson. I'm 16 years old.
00:40:06Oh, my God, you're a baby!
00:40:08I've got some great singer-songwriters.
00:40:12Your voice is so soothing.
00:40:14You can kind of tell that you've been doing this for a while
00:40:16and you just feel, like, right at home.
00:40:22Duncan had
00:40:24me in tears.
00:40:28There's, like, a
00:40:30really ground-to-earth quality about him
00:40:32that I really love, and I love that he's a storyteller.
00:40:36You really know who you are,
00:40:38and clearly you have the heart
00:40:40to move people. Did you see this crowd?
00:40:42There really is a future
00:40:44for you as an artist,
00:40:46and I would love to help you build that.
00:40:52I think I came into
00:40:54this wanting a variety of different artists,
00:40:56and
00:40:58here in Estonia, there's so much incredible
00:41:00talent, and I wasn't really expecting...
00:41:06Larissa
00:41:08is probably the most surprising.
00:41:10Her voice was, like,
00:41:12a spiritual experience for me.
00:41:14You took me to this otherworldly
00:41:16place with your voice. It was so powerful
00:41:18and so just stunning.
00:41:22There's so many beautiful, classic
00:41:24ways to play around with that voice, so
00:41:26yeah, I can't wait to work with her.
00:41:36Ruben is...
00:41:38he is something special. Like, really,
00:41:40really something special. I just absolutely
00:41:42adore you.
00:41:46I had goosebumps from the moment you
00:41:48opened your mouth. I just feel
00:41:50every ounce of him when he sings, which is
00:41:52my favorite kind of artist.
00:41:56Oh, wow.
00:42:02To have several
00:42:04artists that have that extra something,
00:42:06really, any of us could win, but
00:42:08I think we might be able to pull it out on Team Liam.
00:42:12Yeah.
00:42:20Coming up...
00:42:22It's a fight for the final
00:42:24spots on Team Kate.
00:42:26I'm terrified.
00:42:28This is the biggest
00:42:30performance of my life.
00:42:32Hopefully, I have
00:42:34what it takes.
00:42:36As the competition hits
00:42:38fever pitch.
00:42:40This is
00:42:42by far, I think, the best talent
00:42:44we've ever seen on the show.
00:43:02I can't believe the blinds are nearly done.
00:43:04We're down to the pointy
00:43:06end, and I
00:43:08have 10 artists on my team.
00:43:10I have two to go. I'd really
00:43:12love to find someone
00:43:14with a really, really
00:43:16distinctive
00:43:18tone that I've never heard before.
00:43:20That's what I'm very excited about today.
00:43:24I'm Nathara. I'm 21,
00:43:26and I'm from Sydney.
00:43:28My passion is music.
00:43:30I love music. Music
00:43:32is definitely my escape from reality
00:43:34and my escape from the world.
00:43:36I started singing
00:43:38online and posting videos
00:43:40because
00:43:42I think I do get anxious
00:43:44when I go
00:43:46out to public places. I do get a lot
00:43:48of stares and a lot
00:43:50of pointing fingers.
00:43:52It does kind of get to
00:43:54me. It hurts.
00:43:56I was
00:43:58born with achondroplasia,
00:44:00which essentially means I
00:44:02have smaller arms and
00:44:04legs, and that makes me short-statured.
00:44:06I do consider myself
00:44:08a homebody in many ways.
00:44:10Home is my
00:44:12safe space, my little
00:44:14pod of love
00:44:16and happiness and support.
00:44:18Leaving my house
00:44:20just on an everyday basis
00:44:22is daunting enough.
00:44:24So something like this,
00:44:26stepping onto the voice
00:44:28stage, plus a live audience,
00:44:30plus everyone else
00:44:32in Australia watching,
00:44:34this is the biggest performance
00:44:36of my life.
00:44:38It's my now
00:44:40or never chance.
00:44:46It is really terrifying.
00:44:54Woo!
00:44:56Good luck, baby.
00:45:02Counting
00:45:04days, counting days
00:45:06since my lover
00:45:08lost her
00:45:12And every breath
00:45:14that I've been taking since you
00:45:16left feels like a waste on me
00:45:22And I've been holding on
00:45:24to hope that you'll come back when you
00:45:26can find some peace
00:45:28Every word
00:45:30that I've heard spoken since you left
00:45:32feels like I'm falling low
00:45:34straight
00:45:38I've been told
00:45:40I've been told to get you off my mind
00:45:42But I hope I never
00:45:44lose the bruises that you
00:45:46left behind
00:45:48Oh my lord, oh my lord
00:45:50I need you by my side
00:45:54There must be something
00:45:56in the water
00:46:00Every day it's getting colder
00:46:04And if only I could
00:46:06hold you
00:46:08You'll keep my head from
00:46:10going under
00:46:12There must be something
00:46:14in the water
00:46:18Every day it's getting colder
00:46:22And if only I could
00:46:24hold you
00:46:26You'll keep my head from
00:46:28going under
00:46:38Wow
00:46:44Wow, I really felt that deeply
00:46:46Thank you. What's your name?
00:46:48Hi, my name's Netra
00:46:50I'm 21 and I'm
00:46:52from Sydney
00:46:54That song was
00:46:56gorgeous. It was deeply
00:46:58emotionally connected
00:47:00I love that sort of sweet spot
00:47:02in your range. You sang with so
00:47:04much heart. There are a few kind of
00:47:06wobbly moments on pitch
00:47:08and that's why I took a while
00:47:10to turn around because I was unsure
00:47:12but then I just
00:47:14got it in the gut and
00:47:16I couldn't help myself
00:47:18You're amazing
00:47:22It was beautiful
00:47:24What a great song choice too
00:47:26for your voice
00:47:28Why did it mean so much to you?
00:47:30Obviously I'm very different to
00:47:32every other person in this room
00:47:34I think as a person I've
00:47:36just faced so many
00:47:38I guess challenges and hurdles
00:47:40through my life and
00:47:42I've not
00:47:44been able to see myself
00:47:46represented anywhere
00:47:48on screen and I think
00:47:50more than doing this for myself
00:47:52I'm doing this so I can
00:47:54create that I guess confidence
00:47:56and empowerment among other
00:47:58people who feel different and who are different
00:48:00and to make them
00:48:02confident enough to do what they love
00:48:04That's awesome
00:48:08What's your background with singing?
00:48:10Music has been a very
00:48:12big part of my life for
00:48:14pretty much since forever. I started
00:48:16learning South Indian classical music
00:48:18What I really love
00:48:20to do and what I'm really passionate about
00:48:22is mixing the elements
00:48:24and styles that I pick up from
00:48:26different genres and putting them
00:48:28together and creating things like mashups
00:48:30and I love to hear
00:48:32that
00:48:34Yeah please
00:48:48I was enough
00:48:50We danced the night away
00:48:52We dreamed
00:48:54too much
00:48:56I held your hair
00:48:58back when you
00:49:00were throwing up
00:49:14Beautiful
00:49:16Thank you
00:49:22Thank you for coming out here and sharing
00:49:24your heart and your beautiful soul with us
00:49:26Our difference is
00:49:28as we get older and we really understand
00:49:30that's what makes us special
00:49:32no matter what they are and you are
00:49:34beautifully special. You're such a beautiful
00:49:36lady. Thank you so much for being here today
00:49:38Thank you so much you guys
00:49:40You're in good hands
00:49:42Thank you
00:49:46That was so brilliant. Thank you
00:49:48We absolutely loved it
00:49:52You're so sweet. I bet you want to go
00:49:54give your sister a big hug
00:49:58That was cool. Yeah
00:50:00She really lit up when she started singing
00:50:02Indian music. It was like
00:50:04I don't know. It was such a cool
00:50:06cool vibe. Yeah it was really cool
00:50:12Thank you
00:50:14You did it
00:50:22Well only
00:50:24one spot left. Geez there's a lot
00:50:26riding on this final decision but
00:50:28I've got a good feeling about this. I don't see
00:50:30any reason why team Kate is not gonna
00:50:32take the win
00:50:34All I wanna do is win
00:50:40I can't help it. I wanna win this competition
00:50:42badly
00:50:46I already feel like a mother hen
00:50:48with all of my artists
00:50:50and I think I have
00:50:52several potential winners on my team
00:51:04I'm really excited about
00:51:06She's incredibly
00:51:08impressive
00:51:10I think you could win
00:51:12this whole competition. I had goosebumps
00:51:14the whole time. She's someone
00:51:16I can see go all
00:51:18the way in this competition
00:51:22I think they're all really
00:51:24special and I think some of them don't
00:51:26actually realise how special they are
00:51:28Wow
00:51:32Now I've got an ex-opera singer
00:51:34I've got a couple of music theatre
00:51:36kids. Now I've got some
00:51:38amazing pop belters
00:51:50I've got a really special place in my heart
00:51:52for Tia
00:51:54I knew everyone wanted
00:51:56her but I think
00:51:58she's a true artist
00:52:00That's the reason why I wanted to do this competition
00:52:02I need you on my team
00:52:04I mean I don't wanna have to start
00:52:06begging but I need you. I feel
00:52:08that we belong together. There's an emotional
00:52:10connection
00:52:14I've got even a cheerleading
00:52:16screamo
00:52:18I am absolutely
00:52:20besotted by Mo
00:52:23Then when
00:52:25she launched into that chorus
00:52:33I felt like I'd been electrocuted
00:52:35I feel really
00:52:37really excited about working with you
00:52:39You're a bolt of electricity
00:52:41Thank you
00:52:43I'm totally stoked she's on my team
00:52:49They all
00:52:51bring something
00:52:53really unique
00:52:55And now I'm looking for that superstar
00:52:57voice that I can take
00:52:59all the way
00:53:01I am really
00:53:03hungry to win
00:53:05So I think the other coaches
00:53:07better watch out
00:53:21Oh
00:53:29Is that
00:53:31Oh that's our next person
00:53:33I think so. She's warm
00:53:41Hi I'm
00:53:43Angie Nair and I'm 16 years old
00:53:45I feel
00:53:47as though the coaches are definitely
00:53:49gonna be like hold on you're 16
00:53:51Whoa you know people mistake
00:53:53me for being much older because
00:53:55I'm well traveled compared to
00:53:57kids my age in Australia and
00:53:59I'm really grateful for it
00:54:01I was born in
00:54:03Argentina but when I was one years old
00:54:05I moved to Dubai and I came
00:54:07here like four years ago
00:54:09I've been singing
00:54:11to my mom apparently since I was
00:54:13three
00:54:19I love singing
00:54:21I just love being on stage
00:54:23My ultimate dream is to
00:54:25become a powerhouse singer just like
00:54:27Mariah Carey and Whitney
00:54:29Houston
00:54:31I have been told that I sound like
00:54:33Whitney and I've been like whoa
00:54:35That's the nicest thing ever
00:54:43Oh
00:54:45I'm singing
00:54:47a really emotional song by
00:54:49Mariah Carey
00:54:51The way she hits those high notes is the same
00:54:53way I want to do it but it's terrifying
00:54:55It's terrifying
00:54:57Especially with so many people watching
00:54:59me I'm scared I might like not
00:55:01get up there
00:55:05I'm feeling like nervous
00:55:07like so nervous
00:55:09but we're just gonna have to see how it
00:55:11goes
00:55:41I've never felt so
00:55:43satisfied
00:55:45I'm in love
00:55:47I'm in love
00:55:49I can't
00:55:51I can't
00:55:55Feels like a dream
00:55:57When you love me
00:55:59just a little
00:56:03I don't know if it's real
00:56:05I don't know
00:56:07the way I feel
00:56:11You've got me feeling
00:56:13emotions
00:56:15Deeper than I've ever
00:56:17dreamed of
00:56:19You've got me feeling
00:56:21emotions
00:56:23Higher than the heavens
00:56:25above
00:56:27You've got me feeling
00:56:29emotions
00:56:31Deeper than I've
00:56:33ever dreamed of
00:56:35You've got me
00:56:37feeling emotions
00:56:39Higher than the
00:56:41heavens above
00:56:43You've got me feeling higher
00:56:45than all of mine
00:56:55Hello! Hello!
00:56:57What's your name? I'm Angie and I'm
00:56:5916 years old and I'm from Sydney
00:57:01Hi Angie!
00:57:03You're 16!
00:57:05Hats off to you for coming up here
00:57:07and going for it
00:57:09That is not an easy song
00:57:13I really admire the way
00:57:15that you came out and you attacked
00:57:17that song so wholeheartedly
00:57:21There was nothing
00:57:23held back about it
00:57:25You were in, you were 100% in
00:57:27That high note I thought was amazing
00:57:29that whistle tone high note
00:57:31and I get it, I love singing high notes
00:57:33It's something that I do
00:57:35It's physically pleasurable as well
00:57:37Family show!
00:57:41I mean if you think of a song
00:57:43as a cake and the basic
00:57:45melody and lyric to a song
00:57:47is the actual cake and all those
00:57:49bells and whistles on top of the icing
00:57:51I kind of feel like I've had a
00:57:53big spoonful of icing and I feel like
00:57:55I wanted the simplicity
00:57:57and the groundedness, the earthiness
00:57:59of the cake to really anchor
00:58:01us in that moment
00:58:03That's why I didn't turn around
00:58:05You're only 16
00:58:07Let's just get back to basics
00:58:09and start there and see
00:58:11where you can go because the sky's the limit
00:58:13Thank you!
00:58:15Good job, Angie
00:58:19Yeah, I totally agree
00:58:21You did an incredible job for walking out here
00:58:23and for just putting it all
00:58:25on the line. It takes some guts to do that
00:58:27and I think we can tell you have a very
00:58:29very powerful voice. I think there needs
00:58:31to be a little more control over that
00:58:33power. I heard you run out of breath towards the end
00:58:35and to be able to hear you
00:58:37as a great vocalist, you don't need to hit all
00:58:39the high notes. You don't need to be Mariah Carey
00:58:41You need to be you singing that song
00:58:43How do you feel
00:58:45like that went for you?
00:58:47I feel like I could have done it better
00:58:49but I'm kind of happy, proud of myself
00:58:51to be able to have done it
00:58:55That's a really good attitude
00:58:57You should be really really proud
00:58:59and you've come at like such a
00:59:01difficult time but you've got
00:59:03something really impressive
00:59:05and now it's about just
00:59:07honing it back
00:59:09a little bit and finding your sweet spots
00:59:11Yeah, Angie!
00:59:13Thank you!
00:59:15Thank you so much, Angie
00:59:21Aww, she's 16
00:59:23It'll come, it'll come for her
00:59:25She's such a baby
00:59:27That's so raw
00:59:29Hi!
00:59:31You did a good job
00:59:33Come on, you were such a good thing
00:59:35I got nervous
00:59:37I feel like I could have done better
00:59:39I was really excited from the crowd
00:59:41and you know, they made me extra nervous
00:59:43but I'm happy
00:59:45with the feedback I got
00:59:47so you know, I'm going to take that away
00:59:49and work on myself
00:59:51Next year
00:59:53We'll rock it next year
00:59:55Home stretch, baby
00:59:57Kate, what are you looking for?
00:59:59I don't know, I feel
01:00:01intuitively I want
01:00:03a girl or a woman
01:00:05I just feel that in my bones
01:00:07I want someone who's genuinely
01:00:09connected to the music
01:00:11I want to be drawn in
01:00:17I think I've always loved singing
01:00:19but I've always been way too nervous
01:00:21to sing in front of anyone
01:00:23Hey, I'm Jamie
01:00:25I don't know what else to say
01:00:27It's kind of nerve wracking
01:00:29to be honest
01:00:31I work at a bar
01:00:33with my mum
01:00:35I'm always watching the guys gig
01:00:37and the girls gig and I always wish that I was
01:00:39just singing up there
01:00:41and then mum was just pushing me to get up
01:00:43on the mic and I
01:00:45just didn't think, I just did it
01:00:47and bam, everyone just, I don't know
01:00:49they just loved it and then I just get up
01:00:51every shift, it's so good
01:00:53So you haven't studied music?
01:00:55No
01:00:57So you're just completely self-taught?
01:00:59Yeah
01:01:01I love that though because you know how the coaches
01:01:03obviously all understand music
01:01:05and they talk about things like
01:01:07key changes and slides
01:01:09and riffs
01:01:11I'm gonna have to learn a lot, maybe I should just bring
01:01:13a notebook or something
01:01:15Out on stage, take some notes
01:01:17Yes
01:01:21I'm feeling nervous now
01:01:23because I haven't had a singing
01:01:25lesson, I haven't been taught
01:01:27the music language
01:01:29I barely know anything, I'm kind of just
01:01:31winging it to be honest
01:01:33but I'm not gonna think about how scared
01:01:35I am, I'm not gonna think about how nervous I'm gonna be
01:01:37I'm just gonna do it because
01:01:39I wanna make all my friends and
01:01:41family proud but I wanna make
01:01:43my parents proud
01:01:45my mum and my dad
01:01:51Artist walking
01:01:55Oh my god, you guys all get to turn
01:01:57around, that's really rubbing it in
01:02:03Good luck
01:02:05Who is it?
01:02:07Tell me
01:02:09You can do it
01:02:11Good luck
01:02:21Artist walking
01:02:33I'm used to singing at the bar
01:02:35I'm used to singing at home in front of my family
01:02:37and friends
01:02:41Definitely not used to singing on the
01:02:43biggest stage in Australia
01:02:47Yeah that freaks me out
01:02:49It definitely does but I just need to be
01:02:51myself
01:02:53Hopefully I have what it takes
01:03:05Ooh
01:03:19Wow
01:03:23Wow
01:03:37Come on
01:03:49Wow
01:04:19Elastic heart
01:04:23Beautiful
01:04:31Congratulations
01:04:33I think we found what we were looking for
01:04:37I am shaking right now
01:04:39What's your name?
01:04:41Come forward, come forward
01:04:43I'm Jamie, I'm 19 and I'm from Sydney
01:04:49Wow, I'm still recovering
01:04:51from that, I had full body
01:04:53goosebumps, you're a true artist
01:04:55Thank you so much
01:05:15Wow
01:05:17I don't know if you know this
01:05:19but all these other coaches
01:05:21their teams are completely full
01:05:23I have one single spot left
01:05:25Had
01:05:27Well I had
01:05:29My patience
01:05:31has paid off
01:05:33Yes it has
01:05:35That was just
01:05:37absolutely magnificent
01:05:39I can't believe you're only 19, that was such a
01:05:41classy performance
01:05:43I've literally never done anything like this before
01:05:45Ever
01:05:47I've only been singing for like
01:05:49this much time
01:05:51That's crazy
01:05:53I've just been singing at my mum's bar
01:05:55At the bar?
01:05:57Yeah, I just work there and she's like
01:05:59get up, I'm like okay
01:06:01Wow
01:06:03That really really moved me
01:06:05It was spectacular and
01:06:07I'm so glad that none of these guys have a
01:06:09spot left
01:06:11I was blown away, that was so
01:06:13unique and truly truly
01:06:15special
01:06:17Thank you
01:06:19It was like you've done this for a really long time
01:06:21and you had very specific things that you were
01:06:23choosing and they were well done
01:06:25and well thought out
01:06:27but then not thought about at all
01:06:29you were just feeling it
01:06:31That was just, good job
01:06:33Thank you
01:06:35Thank you so much
01:06:37Is it Jamie?
01:06:39No I'm kidding, Jamie
01:06:41It's Jamie
01:06:43Who have we got over here, is this your family?
01:06:45Mum, dad
01:06:47boyfriend in the middle
01:06:51It's so sweet that your
01:06:53boyfriend is like bawling his eyes out
01:06:55Don't embarrass him
01:06:59And like literally can't stop
01:07:03Your voice, like
01:07:05when people say gifted, that's it
01:07:07because you can't teach that
01:07:09That wouldn't have mattered if you've got
01:07:11lessons or whatever, because you've just got
01:07:13this instinct and this ability
01:07:15and if that's your starting point
01:07:17it's scary to think what
01:07:19your end point's going to be
01:07:23And you know I don't
01:07:25make crazy outlandish statements
01:07:27but I'm going to make one here
01:07:29I've done this show for six seasons
01:07:31now, like hands down
01:07:33collectively this is
01:07:35by far I think the best talent
01:07:37we've ever seen on the show
01:07:39It's bananas
01:07:43And you have
01:07:45just finished a team
01:07:47so well because Kate I know is
01:07:49going to go to sleep tonight and she's going to be like
01:07:51Thank God for Jamie
01:07:53Thank God for Jamie
01:07:57Jemai
01:07:59What have I started?
01:08:01I love how nonchalant and silly you are
01:08:03You're fun, you're super fun
01:08:05What was kind of wild about that too
01:08:07is that there were little bits of sort of an homage
01:08:09to Sia, but then it's like
01:08:11the minute you would sort of
01:08:13borrow from her, then you would flip it
01:08:15and do your thing with it
01:08:17I'm just like, what else can she do?
01:08:19Because that was wild
01:08:21I think it'll be my job not to screw
01:08:23with what you're already doing
01:08:25I think you're definitely at that point now
01:08:27where you're ready
01:08:29and you have a lot to gain from this experience
01:08:31and yeah, this is your starting point
01:08:33so I can't wait to see where we go
01:08:37Welcome to my team
01:08:43I'm so excited
01:08:45Me too, me too
01:08:47Bye
01:08:51Oh my goodness
01:08:53She's like so unassuming
01:08:55She's just like, okay bye
01:08:57I just killed that
01:09:03This is Kate
01:09:05Hello
01:09:07Hi, congratulations
01:09:09Oh my god
01:09:11It's emotional isn't it
01:09:13So you're the one with the bar
01:09:15She manages it
01:09:17Yeah, we just got her to get up and sing
01:09:19with the band and then I just kept on going
01:09:21Yeah, get up
01:09:23That's like the best sort of musical education you can have actually
01:09:25So nerve-wracking knowing
01:09:27there's only one spot left
01:09:29I can imagine
01:09:31I'm so grateful
01:09:33It's so exciting, I can't wait to work with you
01:09:35I'm so excited
01:09:37Congratulations again
01:09:39You absolutely nailed that
01:09:41You made my day, brilliant
01:09:43Thanks, lovely to meet you
01:09:45Bye guys
01:09:47Oh my god
01:09:53Team Kate is four
01:09:55Yay
01:10:05That's a good feeling
01:10:07You know what else is a good feeling
01:10:09We're finished
01:10:11We're all done
01:10:13That is the end of Blind Auditions for Season 13
01:10:152024 of The Voice
01:10:17Five
01:10:19Four
01:10:21Three
01:10:23Two
01:10:25One
01:10:27Bye
01:10:53Teams of 12 amazing artists
01:11:03This is the best talent
01:11:05we've ever seen on the show
01:11:07But now
01:11:13This is when the competition
01:11:15really heats up
01:11:17The battles begin
01:11:19Congratulations for making it to my top 12
01:11:22This is a battle
01:11:24So you're going to have to pull no punches
01:11:26Across three massive nights
01:11:30The artists will battle head to head
01:11:35To keep their voice dream alive
01:11:39They will sing the same song
01:11:41but only one will walk away a winner
01:11:43Right on, right on
01:11:45That was next level
01:11:47While our coaches make some gut-wrenching decisions
01:11:49The winner of this battle is
01:11:51I've got 12 artists on my team
01:11:53but I have to whittle that down to six
01:11:55There is a winner for me tonight
01:11:57And this year
01:11:59I have a lifeline which I can give to one artist
01:12:03Saves are back
01:12:05You have been saved
01:12:07Each coach gets one save
01:12:09that we can use on any artist from any team
01:12:11I do believe you can do it
01:12:13and that's why I'm saving you
01:12:15But if more than one coach
01:12:17gets saved
01:12:19You've just been saved by everybody
01:12:21Get set for fireworks
01:12:25This is where being on team guy has got you
01:12:29We're only in this position because
01:12:31he was your second choice
01:12:33For the most dramatic
01:12:35What if I'm not loving it?
01:12:37I've made a terrible mistake
01:12:39Controversial
01:12:41Is there ever a world where you would consider
01:12:43going through as a duo?
01:12:45One of the most shocking battles ever
01:12:47I have had to choose to withdraw
01:12:49from the competition
01:12:51Alright, so this is unprecedented
01:12:53I don't think we have ever had to
01:12:55deal with anything like this
