00:04:05And there's a brand new coaching lineup.
00:04:08And the wind must start to shake
00:04:10What has four legs, two heads, two seats, one button?

00:05:31We got this voice.
00:05:32Let's go.
00:05:41Welcome to The Voice 2024.
00:05:46Make some noise for our brand new coaches, Leigh-Anne Rimes.
00:05:53I was nervous walking out here today.
00:05:55You were nervous?
00:05:56Oh, yeah.
00:05:57But now I feel good.
00:06:00I'm so excited to be here, you guys.
00:06:01Thanks for having me.
00:06:03Danny and Tom.
00:06:06Hello, everyone.
00:06:07Good to be in Manchester, isn't it?
00:06:11What do you think of our cheer?
00:06:14Make some noise for the legend, the hero, my hero, Sir Tom Jones.
00:06:26And Will.i.am.
00:06:30Woo!
00:06:35Coaches, we are ready with our first audition.
00:06:39Let me tell you.
00:06:44I'm Ben.
00:06:45I'm Dalil.
00:06:46I'm Michael.
00:06:47I'm Kane, and together...
00:06:48We're Mike Lowry.
00:06:49We're like a family.
00:06:50Yeah.
00:06:51Brothers.
00:06:52Who's the most nervous out of the four of you?
00:06:53I'd say Dalil.
00:06:54Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:06:55He waits before we get called on stage, and then he says...
00:06:58Toilet, I need toilet.
00:07:00I've been with these brothers of mine in a band for 12 years.
00:07:04It's literally been like boys to men.
00:07:07In the beginning, we used to record a lot of videos on social media.
00:07:10A few of them just blew up for us.
00:07:12Things just took off from there, really.
00:07:15We gig all the time.
00:07:16There's always ups and downs.
00:07:18We played Liverpool Pride.
00:07:19I think you come in out of tune, and then I try to...
00:07:22You came in out of tune.
00:07:28When we were in high school together,
00:07:30we went to this youth organisation called Positive Impact.
00:07:33Based in Liverpool, in Toxted.
00:07:35Wow.
00:07:36Oh, my God.
00:07:37That's where we all started singing together, really.
00:07:41Barbara!
00:07:43Barbara found Positive Impact.
00:07:45When we were younger and first starting out,
00:07:47I think she needed to whip us into shape a few times.
00:07:50She's thin.
00:07:51D got a few clips around here.
00:07:52We had to suffer the craziness, but it was worth it.
00:07:56We decided that we wanted to form a band
00:07:58because the boys can all sing,
00:08:00they can harmonise like there is no tomorrow,
00:08:02and they're just good.
00:08:04What did you used to say?
00:08:05Sing it like you're singing to a girl.
00:08:09I'm unbelievably proud.
00:08:10They just need that little something that can take them over the line,
00:08:13and I think this really could be that.
00:08:18First one.
00:08:19You guys ready?
00:08:20Yeah, we are.
00:08:21Let's do it.
00:08:22Are you?
00:08:23I was ready before I was born.
00:08:28I've never been this nervous before anything.
00:08:30Really?
00:08:32All right, lads.
00:08:36I need a weasel, but this must be the worst bit.
00:08:40Walk it out.
00:08:44I lose control
00:08:51When you're not here with me
00:08:56Yeah, you're breaking my heart, baby
00:08:58You make a mess of me
00:09:13I wanna know your name, man
00:09:15I wanna know if you got it, man
00:09:17I wanna know
00:09:18I wanna know everything
00:09:20I wanna know your number, man
00:09:22If I can't come over, man
00:09:23I wanna know what you got
00:09:25I wanna know so I can do it all night
00:09:28Telling me I'm just a friend
00:09:30You're telling me I'm just a friend
00:09:32Oh, baby, you
00:09:34Baby, you
00:09:35You got what I need
00:09:38To say I'm just a friend
00:09:40To say I'm just a friend
00:09:43Can you give me one reason why
00:09:45You wouldn't want this kind of guy
00:09:48I stay late and I know you know I'm lying
00:09:52Girl, stop playing games with me
00:09:55Let's get this on tonight
00:09:57I got nothing to lose
00:10:00Let me do what I do, baby
00:10:03You got what I need
00:10:07To say I'm just a friend
00:10:09To say I'm just a friend
00:10:12Girl, I can be your fantasy
00:10:17To say I'm just a friend
00:10:20To say I'm just a friend
00:10:22Come on, let's go, let's go!
00:10:24Hey
00:10:27To say I'm just a friend
00:10:29Hey, oh, hey
00:10:31Mike, now, now, now, read
00:10:37Please, stop
00:10:41Telling me to hold my mouth
00:10:45Yeah, girl, hey!
00:10:48This beautiful thing that I've got
00:10:51Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
00:10:57Yo, what's up?
00:10:59What's happening?
00:11:00What's happening?
00:11:01What's the names?
00:11:02I'm Ben.
00:11:03I'm D'Leo.
00:11:04I'm Michael.
00:11:05I'm Kane.
00:11:06And we're Mike Lowry!
00:11:08Lowry!
00:11:11And where you guys from?
00:11:14We're from Liverpool.
00:11:15No, Liverpool!
00:11:19That was incredible.
00:11:20One great voice, and then all of a sudden I heard a lot.
00:11:22And I loved it.
00:11:24Thank you, thank you.
00:11:26Well, I loved it.
00:11:27I mean, you sound fantastic.
00:11:29The four of you work together,
00:11:31and it sounds like you're having fun.
00:11:33It's scary doing this today, like...
00:11:35Yeah, well, this is always scary.
00:11:36My mouth's so dry speaking on this right now.
00:11:39You've got a right to be scared
00:11:40because millions of people watch this show.
00:11:42It doesn't get any bigger than this.
00:11:44D'Leo went to the toilet, like, three times before we came on,
00:11:47so...
00:11:48Come on!
00:11:49I'm nervous, sorry.
00:11:50I love that honesty.
00:11:52I love it.
00:11:55That sounded amazing.
00:11:56It was super exciting.
00:11:57And there aren't any other bands like you out there at the moment.
00:12:00It's really refreshing.
00:12:01Appreciate it.
00:12:02Thank you very much.
00:12:03So, out of the crew, like, who makes beats?
00:12:05I'm not going to tell you.
00:12:07I'm a producer.
00:12:08I'll say that much.
00:12:09I can make some demos, but, like, that's about it.
00:12:11That's what it's all about.
00:12:12And then you guys all right?
00:12:14Yeah.
00:12:15Dang, that's what's up.
00:12:17All right.
00:12:18You guys got passports?
00:12:23We're ready, baby, we're ready.
00:12:26I think what that does just highlights the fact
00:12:28that Will doesn't even live in this country with us and our team.
00:12:31We live here.
00:12:3324-7 care on our team, guys.
00:12:35If he needs the loo, I'm here.
00:12:38If I need the loo, he's here.
00:12:40If I need the loo, he's here.
00:12:43All right, look, we are the best qualified to be your coaches.
00:12:46We know exactly what it's like to live and breathe,
00:12:49being in a band for 21 years.
00:12:51And the hard bit is the relationship between band members.
00:12:55We have been through highs and lows and ups and downs,
00:12:58and we have so much experience that we can offer you guys
00:13:01to get you through the rest of this competition.
00:13:09I've been in the group for a while as well.
00:13:13That's where I got that type of perspective.
00:13:15I'd love to share with you guys.
00:13:17I'd love for you to be on my team.
00:13:21I know I might not be the obvious choice,
00:13:24but don't be basic and don't be obvious.
00:13:29You know?
00:13:30You guys remind me of the good old days in the 90s.
00:13:32The 90s were so tight.
00:13:33And I would love, love, love to work with you.
00:13:35So, yeah.
00:13:41I love what you do.
00:13:42I will try and get the best out of you that I possibly could.
00:13:45Even though I'm not part of a group myself,
00:13:47I know what a group should sound like.
00:13:49So it's up to you, though, to figure out who you'd like to go with
00:13:52to feel more comfortable with, you know,
00:13:54and to get the best out of you.
00:13:57Let's have a little chat.
00:14:08That was amazing to hear, you know,
00:14:10all the lovely things that you guys had to say about us,
00:14:12so thank you so much for that.
00:14:14For us being a group, it would be good to have somebody
00:14:17who maybe knows, like, the group dynamic.
00:14:21So we would like to choose...
00:14:25Will.
00:14:26Will.
00:14:27CHEERING
00:14:30David!
00:14:35Postpone no cigar.
00:14:38Yeah, let's do it.
00:14:40Bye, guys.
00:14:41Yay!
00:14:46That was awesome!
00:14:50Yeah!
00:14:54Well done, congratulations.
00:14:56That's a strong start.
00:14:58They're really trying to, aren't they?
00:15:00That group dynamic is so important.
00:15:02There's a certain thing there that you guys understand
00:15:04that we don't.
00:15:05It's going to be some tough pitching.
00:15:07Damn it, Will!
00:15:08LAUGHTER
00:15:21So, what are you guys looking for in this blind audition?
00:15:24When you get someone who can really sing
00:15:26with somebody who can make you feel something,
00:15:28like, that's the ultimate artist.
00:15:30You've got to put 100% in and don't hold anything back.
00:15:35If they're exciting, then I'll hit the button.
00:15:37It's a bit harder on our team.
00:15:38It's not just about what I want.
00:15:40It's about what we want.
00:15:41Do you guys agree, mostly?
00:15:43Nope.
00:15:46We've been working with each other for over 21 years.
00:15:49Wow.
00:15:50Yeah, but you started younger.
00:15:51Oh, yeah, I started on stage when I was five.
00:15:53What?
00:15:54Yeah.
00:15:55I got my record deal when I was 11.
00:15:57Get out!
00:15:58I've been doing this for 30 years now.
00:16:00How did you have that type of confidence
00:16:02at 11 years old, though?
00:16:03You just know, like, that's the kind of confidence
00:16:05I hope everyone walking on this stage has.
00:16:07Yeah, fearless.
00:16:09You know what I mean?
00:16:18So, how are you feeling, Harvs?
00:16:20Nervous, excited, a bit nervous again.
00:16:23My name's Harvey Powell.
00:16:25I'm 18 and I'm from Doncaster.
00:16:27You'll be fine.
00:16:28I hope so.
00:16:30My mum and nanny are definitely my top two fans.
00:16:32Harvey is the most loving, caring child you could ask for.
00:16:37We are really, really close and he knows I'm there no matter what.
00:16:41Today is the biggest day I've ever had in my life.
00:16:44It's like, boom, you're here, it's happening.
00:16:48I started singing when I was about 16,
00:16:50when I started going busking.
00:16:52When you get a crowd, there's no better feeling.
00:16:54That's when I realised that singing is what I wanted to do.
00:16:57My dream is to make a good life out of singing.
00:16:59This could, like, completely change everything forever.
00:17:01Wherever you are, I swear I'll be there.
00:17:06My mum and nanny have never, ever made me feel
00:17:08like I can't achieve something.
00:17:10Whenever Harvey sings, he gives me goosebumps.
00:17:12No matter where he is, as long as he can sing, I know he's happy.
00:17:15I don't think I've actually ever felt more nervous.
00:17:17It's just the thought of getting that one chair turned,
00:17:20it'll just make me feel like I've achieved everything I've dreamed of.
00:17:24When the waves get high
00:17:28I will go to wherever you are
00:17:31Wherever you are
00:17:34And I swear I'll be
00:17:43Mama, come here
00:17:47Approach me here
00:17:52Daddy, I'm alone
00:17:55Cos this house don't feel like home
00:18:00If you love me, don't let go
00:18:07Hold, hold on
00:18:12Hold on to me
00:18:15Cos I'm a little unsteady
00:18:19A little unsteady
00:18:24Mother, I know
00:18:28That you're tired of being alone
00:18:32And I know you're trying
00:18:36To fight when you feel like flying
00:18:40Come on!
00:18:41If you love me, don't let go
00:18:48Hold, hold on
00:18:53Hold on to me
00:18:56Cos I'm a little unsteady
00:19:00A little unsteady
00:19:05Hold, hold on
00:19:10Hold on to me
00:19:12Cos I'm a little unsteady
00:19:16Hold!
00:19:17A little unsteady
00:19:20Hold on to me!
00:19:27If you tell me you'll leave
00:19:31Oh, no!
00:19:32Oh, that was so close.
00:19:39If we can stop it
00:19:42That breaks my heart a little.
00:19:44If we can stop it
00:19:46Don't have to stop
00:19:48Don't have to stop
00:19:52Oh!
00:19:53So close.
00:19:58This tone was beautiful.
00:20:01Oh, that's hard. Yeah.
00:20:03You were amazing.
00:20:05Absolutely amazing.
00:20:07It's so hard.
00:20:08But there was something cool there.
00:20:10Yeah.
00:20:11I was willing to moan.
00:20:12I just want to go hug them all.
00:20:14Yeah.
00:20:15I mean, I feel for everybody that comes on this stage.
00:20:17I was really wanting to,
00:20:19but it just became a little bit more unsteady as we went along.
00:20:23Oh, that killed me, too.
00:20:28Testing.
00:20:29One, two, three.
00:20:33It's a special day
00:20:36Oh, your wife needs you!
00:20:39Yes, dear.
00:20:40How much?
00:20:41£9.99.
00:20:42Cheers.
00:20:43My name is Joy, and I'm from northwest London.
00:20:46I'm 56 years old.
00:20:48I feel like a dinosaur sometimes.
00:20:51We have a hair and beauty shop.
00:20:54It's fun.
00:20:55I go around the till, don't even know what I'm doing.
00:20:58But I have an amazing husband.
00:21:01Hi, Mo.
00:21:04There you go.
00:21:05How did you do that?
00:21:06You're not supposed to put me on a till in the first place.
00:21:09But it's wonderful working with him.
00:21:11I mean, he knows every product in that shop.
00:21:14Mo!
00:21:15Mo!
00:21:16Mo!
00:21:17Oh, my God, the patience of a God.
00:21:19I've got a good one.
00:21:22How are you feeling?
00:21:24Quite make me emotional,
00:21:26because her dream is going to become true.
00:21:29Don't start, yeah?
00:21:31Because you're going to mess up my face.
00:21:33Singing is my passion.
00:21:35It's my real love.
00:21:37I mean, I do backing vocal sessions, I arrange vocals.
00:21:41Auditioning on The Voice is something I've contemplated
00:21:45for a few years.
00:21:47I think now I feel very ready.
00:21:57Joy had a gift from God, I think so, for singing.
00:22:01Her voice can go inside your soul.
00:22:04I've been singing for many years, like over 50 years now,
00:22:08as a backing singer.
00:22:10Today is the day when I can really showcase who I am,
00:22:14showcase Joy.
00:22:34Yeah, yeah, yeah
00:22:40Mmm
00:22:42It's a little bit funny
00:22:47This feeling inside
00:22:53I'm not one of those who
00:22:58Can easily hide
00:23:01No, I don't have much money but
00:23:08Boy, if I did
00:23:15I'd make a house where
00:23:19We both could live
00:23:26And you
00:23:30Tell everybody
00:23:34This is a song
00:23:40It may be quite simple
00:23:45Now that it's done
00:23:50I hope you don't mind
00:23:52I hope you don't mind
00:23:56Tell me why
00:23:59I wonder
00:24:03Life is
00:24:06Wondering
00:24:08Why
00:24:11Wondering why
00:24:27Why are we not turned?
00:24:31What are we doing?
00:24:37What are we doing?
00:24:39I don't know
00:24:40Hi beautiful, what's your name?
00:24:42Joy Farouk
00:24:43Pure joy is what you are
00:24:45Thank you
00:24:46Wow, that was beautiful
00:24:47Thank you for telling me, I appreciate that
00:24:49I just love the take on that song
00:24:51I actually didn't realise what song I was listening to
00:24:54That's probably why nobody else turned
00:24:56No, I thought
00:25:00Even if none of you turned
00:25:01I'm just happy to stand here right now
00:25:03I'll be honest with you
00:25:05Thank you Sir Tom
00:25:07Two good looking guys there
00:25:09Thank you so much
00:25:14Well

00:25:17But it's, you know
00:25:20I'm so happy that I get to play with you
00:25:22We're gonna have fun
00:25:23You were all in it
00:25:24Like so much
00:25:25And I love a risk like that
00:25:27Just one little thing for me
00:25:29Look, you can do every run in the book
00:25:31I would have loved to have heard a little bit more
00:25:34Of a differentiation
00:25:35You wanna have another go?
00:25:36Do you want to show me something different?
00:25:38I'd love to hear it
00:25:39Would you sing it with me?
00:25:41Oh
00:25:45Sure
00:25:46Yeah
00:25:54Oh my, is this really happening?
00:25:57I love it
00:25:58You're the queen
00:25:59Hi

00:26:04Give this lady a microphone
00:26:07Go on
00:26:08Yeah
00:26:10It's a little bit funny
00:26:16This feeling inside
00:26:23I don't know the words, all of it's a
00:26:25It doesn't matter
00:26:28Back in his house
00:26:35I don't have much money
00:26:39Really?
00:26:47I got a big house
00:26:53I got a big house
00:26:56And I
00:26:58Hope you don't mind
00:27:01I hope you don't mind
00:27:05That I put down in words
00:27:08Oh, wonderful
00:27:12Life is
00:27:14Oh, life is
00:27:15Now you're in
00:27:17Your world

00:27:20Yeah
00:27:23Yeah
00:27:30Oh my God
00:27:32Oh my God
00:27:34Oh my God

00:27:54Thank you
00:27:55Thank you
00:27:56Awesome
00:28:02So
00:28:04What now?
00:28:05Anymore questions?
00:28:06You guys have been quiet.
00:28:08LAUGHTER
00:28:12Oh, you're going to talk now?
00:28:14Nope. Nope. I'm trying to.
00:28:18I forgive you guys for not turning. Don't worry about it.
00:28:22After listening to the two of you sing together,
00:28:24you were the right coach.
00:28:26You're trying to get out of something here, Tommy.
00:28:28No, no, I'm not.
00:28:30That's gold right there.
00:28:32Seriously. It ain't your gold, it's her gold.
00:28:34Bye, everyone!
00:28:38Love you!
00:28:44We're going to kick ass.
00:28:54She's amazing.
00:28:56Well, there you go.
00:29:00I didn't say one thing.
00:29:02She's funny.
00:29:04I know! I got told off.
00:29:08I think I have my hair in school.
00:29:10Really?
00:29:12I have never seen
00:29:14a moment like that.
00:29:16CHEERING
00:29:30Haley and Ryan.
00:29:32How do you like the UK so far?
00:29:34I love the UK. It's my favourite.
00:29:36I've always felt very much at home here.
00:29:38Do you like more posh-style UK?
00:29:40Do you like more cockney UK?
00:29:42What type of UK vibes?
00:29:44I can dig pretty much anything.
00:29:46But I like something with a little bit of grittin' edge.
00:29:48What part of the UK do you like, Danny?
00:29:50Bolton.
00:29:52CHEERING
00:29:54I think that's got the little bit of grittin' edge you're looking for.
00:29:56LAUGHTER
00:29:58That just might be it.
00:30:00LAUGHTER
00:30:02I love you. Thank you, guys.
00:30:04Nice and quiet.
00:30:06Thank you very much.
00:30:10I'm Kyra.
00:30:12I'm 20, and I'm from Manchester.
00:30:14I'm a student,
00:30:16and I'm studying Access to Veterinary Medicine.
00:30:18This is one of our ibis
00:30:20suffered a fracture to the leg.
00:30:22Aw.
00:30:24I love it, but it's really hard.
00:30:26I've always been drawn to animals, yeah.
00:30:28I like animals more than people,
00:30:30sometimes.
00:30:32So that's the room, guys.
00:30:34I first realised Kyra
00:30:36enjoyed singing
00:30:38when she was able to sit in the toilet.
00:30:40She'd just sing all the time,
00:30:42all the way to nursery, all the way back.
00:30:44She was born to sing.
00:30:48A couple of years ago,
00:30:50my life kind of flipped on its head.
00:30:52All of a sudden,
00:30:54my health rapidly declined.
00:30:56I was bed-bound for months,
00:30:58and then I was diagnosed
00:31:00with a chronic illness
00:31:02called Potts syndrome.
00:31:04Her brain and her heart can't communicate properly,
00:31:06so her body just shuts down.
00:31:08She can't stand up,
00:31:10so she's now a wheelchair user.
00:31:12Yeah.
00:31:14The past couple of years
00:31:16definitely sucked.
00:31:18What helped me most was music.
00:31:20Just mad.
00:31:22Can't believe I'm here.
00:31:24I've always sang,
00:31:26but it's mainly been for fun.
00:31:28Just bedroom stuff.
00:31:30That's it.
00:31:32I'm dead proud of you,
00:31:34getting up there and doing what you love.
00:31:36I hope that something good comes from it.
00:31:38Yeah.
00:31:40The condition has definitely affected
00:31:42my singing.
00:31:44You're always taught that you need to stand up
00:31:46for, like, good projection or whatever,
00:31:48so relearning how to sing sat down.
00:31:54I'd like to show people
00:31:56even if you've got limitations,
00:31:58it doesn't have to stop you
00:32:00from doing something like this.
00:32:02You'll be great.
00:32:04You're shaking.
00:32:06I'm definitely excited
00:32:08for the challenge,
00:32:10but it is terrifying.
00:32:12I'm just hoping that my nerves
00:32:14don't get the better of me
00:32:16and I sound how I do in my bedroom
00:32:18when I'm practising.
00:32:34Come on.
00:33:04And I will sing a lullaby
00:33:06And I will sing a lullaby
00:33:08And I will sing a lullaby
00:33:10God has lost me
00:33:12God has lost me
00:33:14God has lost me
00:33:16for once
00:33:18God has lost me
00:33:20God has lost me
00:33:22for once
00:33:24God has lost me
00:33:26for once
00:33:28Take me down to North Carolina
00:33:30Take me down to North Carolina
00:33:32And I will sing a lullaby
00:33:34And I will sing a lullaby
00:33:38Once there was a way
00:33:42To get back homeward
00:33:44To get back homeward
00:33:50Once there was a way
00:33:54To get back homeward
00:33:56To get back homeward
00:34:02You
00:34:32Oh
00:34:47My name is Kyra, I'm 20. I'm from here in Manchester
00:34:51I
00:34:58Know he's an incredibly hard song to sing
00:35:00It's one of the most amazing songs ever written as soon as you started singing all of my hairs are standing off my arm
00:35:06And we say the goosebumps don't lie
00:35:08I should have pressed instantly, but I think I just wanted to hear the rest of the song to be honest with you
00:35:13Well done
00:35:16I
00:35:18Was so so close to turning around the tone of your voice is so cool. Oh, thank you
00:35:23Yeah, you've got a very interesting and unique sound. I really dig it. It was really beautiful. Thank you. Yeah, thanks
00:35:28That was a lovely rendition of that song. Thank you
00:35:34Yeah, it's fine
00:35:36I try to hold off and listen to what you were gonna do because it's a hard song to sing
00:35:41Yeah, and so I wanted to find out if you were gonna carry it that good all the way through and you and you did
00:35:46Thank you
00:35:54How long have you been in that chair I've been in this chair for about just over a year now
00:35:58So it's still pretty new and I've got a condition called POTS syndrome
00:36:03Basically, I'm like allergic to gravity. So I stand up my heart rate also shoots up
00:36:08So I'm like an ambulatory wheelchair user so I use it mostly when I'm outside my house
00:36:14So yeah, well you're dealing with it. Yeah, I mean you sound great. So can't try it
00:36:24I don't if you know this but I am
00:36:26a book and a musical that has a wheelchair users the main character and I'm a patron for a charity called whiz kids and
00:36:32Which provides wheelchairs for the people under 18. It's an amazing charity
00:36:35There's so much more work to be done to make performing more accessible
00:36:39So I think having you on this show is doing an amazing thing for other people like you wheelchair users who want to be on stage
00:36:46performing
00:36:49Your voice is powerful your spirit and drive is powerful
00:36:54I'm so happy that you're on the show because there's a lot of people out there that need that inspiration that source of
00:37:02Determination that you possess it's
00:37:05beyond
00:37:06admirable
00:37:08I'm so happy you have the choice between mr. Fletcher and Danny and sir, Tom Jones
00:37:22Big stage and sing like you did was amazing. We knew straight away. That's the magic of music

00:37:43Just yeah, I don't know what are you contemplating just love them both like Thomas just like
00:37:50icon legend and then Danny and Thomas so like
00:37:54handsome
00:37:58Oh, it's up to you, but you make your own decision go with your heart
00:38:18I think I'm gonna go with
00:38:28Danny and Tom
00:38:43That's amazing, thank you so much. I promise you we're gonna work so hard for you. I'm so glad you picked us
00:38:50We won't let you down
00:38:57I

00:39:27You
00:39:46You guys have been here forever, how are we doing? Are we doing? All right
00:39:49Terrible

00:41:03She's my rock. My dream for Kevin is that the coaches hear the magic in his voice and
00:41:11If they turn they'll get to see the person behind it as well and realize that he's a phenomenal guy
00:41:19Today for me is something that I've always dreamed about although I love being a plumber singing is what I love
00:41:28the most
00:41:36If a coach turn it would just change my life

00:46:42People tend to be a bit surprised when they hear me sing I
00:46:46Want to show my got children that it's okay to go after your dreams
00:46:50Even if there may be scary or seen unattainable, it's always worth going after them

00:52:16I played the character Rafiki
00:52:18I always enjoyed playing other people and playing characters and that was the most fun. I've ever had
00:52:25Who will you pick if they all turn around?
00:52:30I come from a very close family. They are rooting for me and they just make me feel so special
00:52:36Honestly, we're so proud that you're taking this step. Let's go out there and be your best you
00:52:41Yeah, I've decided to do the voice because it's time for me to step out of my comfort zone

00:58:14Thank you so much. Yeah, thank you. I
00:58:19Thought you were
00:58:21Spectacular. Thanks. You represented Essex. Well, there's a lot of soul in Essex. There is yeah
00:58:26Okay, so speaking of soul if you're on my team, you can take me to church
00:58:38Okay, well as far as I'm concerned yes, you have a fantastic voice
00:58:51Projection as far as I'm concerned, you're a real singer. That's what I love to hear a full voice
00:58:56Yeah, and you have that. Thank you. So I think if you came with my team, we could work great together if you want
00:59:21My god is

01:00:37Along with it a holiday to Universal Orlando Resort
01:00:50A
01:00:54Really incredible start like what a great first day. What are we doing?
01:01:02How many do we all have on our team no, I have two we all have one I think we've all taken off
01:01:12Come on
01:01:15I'm Billy Lockett. I'm 32 years old. I'm a singer-songwriter from Northampton. I
01:01:24Realized I wanted to do music at about eight years old. My mum bought a piano
01:01:27I loved it and I remember my parents being very confused that I was able to pick it up so quickly
01:01:32I would always just tinker around with things and I'd hear my dad screaming from up the stairs
01:01:38Oh, that's nice. And then he'd run down really excited like a puppy
01:01:43He just loved everything about me making music it was his dream for me to do this
01:01:50Sadly in 2014 my dad passed away
01:01:54He was an inspiration. I think that's another reason why I'm a lot more focused on writing songs that make people feel something
01:02:03When I was 18, I tweeted Katie Tunstall
01:02:06I sent her a video of me singing one of my songs and she replied saying that she really liked the video and brought me
01:02:12On a whole UK tour at the end of it managed to get record deal about 22 years old
01:02:17And everything started to really fly that lasted till I was 26 and then they dropped me
01:02:26But for me, I can't not make music
01:02:30It's in my DNA it's it's chosen me
01:02:33I've been looking for
01:02:37I do feel nervous now. This could be a huge life-changing moment. That's why we're here
01:02:44My mum is amazing. She believes in me like no one else. I am already so proud of you
01:02:51For the blind audition, I'm gonna do one of my own songs. It is a huge risk
01:02:56But you know, I want them to feel my struggle. Hopefully the coaches like it, but I'm trying not to think about it too much
01:03:04I've always felt there'd be this one big breaking moment that changes my life. Hopefully, this is that moment
01:03:12I
01:03:32Swear I wasn't always like
01:03:35I could handle
01:03:39Lately I feel like a stranger
01:03:43Living in my own skin
01:03:46I don't know how much of this I can take
01:03:53And if only I
01:04:05Silence again
01:04:19We
01:04:23Could use
01:04:29Don't want to stay
01:04:34Oh
01:04:47Say what I'm thinking instead, I'm just sick
01:05:04I
01:05:13Could use
01:05:34Oh
01:05:49What is your name Billy Lockett the song that you played is that one of yours? Yeah, it's one of mine that was
01:05:56Magical you moved me so deeply. I was holding back tears because
01:06:01So incredibly powerful
01:06:07You felt to me like you meant it you were bearing your soul and that's why I hit my button
01:06:12I thought it was great. Thank you
01:06:17How long have you been singing since I was about 16
01:06:20I did my first tour when I was 18, but you know, I've been signed and dropped
01:06:24So maybe just never been the right time
01:06:26You should not let that discourage you or hold you back and your voice is just too awesome to not have turned
01:06:33You got something really special, bro
01:06:40They're cool
01:06:41But sometimes they overthink it they're trying to fix you in some type of algorithm
01:06:46When you hit our heart rhythm and you made us all feel something and I want to thank you for that
01:06:51I'd love for you to be on my team. Your songs are freaking awesome
01:06:55That's my pitch
01:07:00The reason that I'm on this show is I love listening to singers I haven't heard before I
01:07:07Think you should be headlining shows so that the world can see you
01:07:11I'll do all I can to help you with this wonderful talent that you have
01:07:16It is a true gift to be able to share your heart with the world and I would love to support you in this journey of yours
01:07:23And by the way, I'm playing the O2 in London
01:07:26If you were to come on my team, I would really love for you to come sing a song with me
01:07:36Wow, guess what? What Danny? We're playing the O2 in London
01:07:42Wow, guess what? What Danny? We're playing the O2 on the 10th of October
01:07:49And we'd like to sing a song with you
01:07:54Don't copy me but not only that like we knew that a moment like this
01:07:59We need is to come up with something special. Oh, no. Yeah, I get my guitar. Damn
01:08:05Yes, thank you
01:08:07So this is called team Tom and Danny the musical
01:08:14You have a choice to make a
01:08:18Chance you have to take
01:08:21Whichever coach you choose could help you win or lose and I'd hate you to make a huge mistake

01:09:18You
01:09:25Should pick me
01:09:27You should pick me me me me me me me pick me
01:09:30I didn't write you apart giving me horrible chords cuz he knows I'm gonna kill it. I didn't write it
01:09:36I'm just gonna spill it out
01:09:48How do I breathe without you if you ever go
01:09:56How do I ever
01:10:12How do I lay
01:10:19I
01:10:24There's more in a moment
01:10:27You'll decide your destiny
01:10:32Will the team you choose be with Tom and me I
01:10:38Know he'll pick us. I don't doubt it cuz the other coaches didn't write a song
01:10:49With a key change Danny
01:10:53I'm not black-eyed peas. Oh, we're not sure. Sorry, but I'll be
01:11:00And we can't fight the moonlight but you're the fight you won't lose tonight
