00:06:37CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:06:45We are ready with our first audition.
00:06:49Let me tell you.
00:06:54I'm Ben. I'm Dalil. I'm Michael. I'm Kane.
00:06:57And together, we're Michael Ari.
00:06:59We're like a family. Yeah. Brothers.
00:07:01Who's the most nervous out of the four of you?
00:07:03I'd say Dalil. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:07:05He waits before we get called on stage and then he says...
00:07:08Toilet, I need toilet.
00:07:10I've been with these brothers of mine in a band for 12 years.
00:07:14It's literally been like boys to men.
00:07:17In the beginning, we used to record a lot of videos on social media.
00:07:20A few of them just blew up for us.
00:07:22Things just took off from there, really.
00:07:25We gigged all the time. There's always ups and downs.
00:07:28We played Liverpool Pride.
00:07:30I think you come in out of tune.
00:07:32You came in out of tune!
00:07:35When we were in high school together,
00:07:37we went to this youth organisation called Positive Impact.
00:07:40Based in Liverpool, in Toxted.
00:07:42Wow. Oh, my God.
00:07:44That's where we all started singing together, really.
00:07:48Barbara!
00:07:50Barbara found Positive Impact.
00:07:52When we were younger and first starting out,
00:07:54I think she needed to whip us into shape a few times.
00:07:57D got a few clips around here.
00:07:59We had to suffer the craziness, but it was really good.
00:08:02We decided that we wanted to form a band
00:08:04because the boys can all sing,
00:08:06they can harmonise like there is no tomorrow,
00:08:08and they're just good.
00:08:10Did you used to say, sing it like you're singing to a girl?
00:08:15I'm unbelievably proud.
00:08:17You just need that little something that can take them over the line,
00:08:20and I think this really could be that.
00:08:24First one. You guys ready?
00:08:26Yeah, we're ready. Let's do it.
00:08:28Are you ready?
00:08:30Yeah, we're ready. Let's do it.
00:08:32Are you? I was ready before I was born.
00:08:37Are you OK?
00:08:38I have never been this nervous before anything.
00:08:40Really? No, I swear to God.
00:08:42All right, lads?
00:08:46I need a wee sober.
00:08:48This must be the worst bit.
00:08:50Walk it out.
00:08:53I lose control
00:09:00When you're not here with me
00:09:05Yeah, you're breaking my heart, baby
00:09:08You make a mess of me
00:09:23I want to know your name, man
00:09:25I want to know if you got a man
00:09:27I want to know, I want to know everything
00:09:30I want to know your number and if I can come over and
00:09:33I want to know what you got
00:09:35I want to know so I can do it all night
00:09:38Telling me I'm just a friend
00:09:40You're telling me I'm just a friend
00:09:42Oh, baby, you, baby, you
00:09:45You got what I need
00:09:49The harmony was tight.
00:09:53Can you give me one reason why
00:09:55You wouldn't want this kind of guy
00:09:58I stay late and I know you know I'm lying
00:10:03Girl, stop playing games with me
00:10:06Let's get this on tonight
00:10:08I got nothing to lose
00:10:11Let me do what I do, baby
00:10:14Come on, let's go.
00:10:17Would you say I'm just a friend
00:10:20Would you say I'm just a friend
00:10:22Girl, I could be your fantasy
00:10:28Would you say I'm just a friend
00:10:30Would you say I'm just a friend
00:10:33Just say
00:10:37Say I'm just a friend
00:10:39Hey, oh, hey
00:10:41Mike Lau-Lau-Laurie
00:10:44Mike Lau-Lau-Laurie
00:10:47Please stop
00:10:52Trying not to hold back
00:10:54Don't stop
00:10:58This beautiful thing that I've got
00:11:01Oh, oh, oh
00:11:07Yo, what's up?
00:11:09What's happening?
00:11:11What's the names?
00:11:12I'm Ben.
00:11:13I'm Leo.
00:11:14I'm Michael.
00:11:15I'm Kane.
00:11:16And we're Mike Laurie.
00:11:18Laurie.
00:11:21And where are you guys from?
00:11:24We're from Liverpool.
00:11:26No, Liverpool.
00:11:29That was incredible.
00:11:31One great voice and then all of a sudden I heard a lot.
00:11:33And I loved it.
00:11:35Thank you, thank you.
00:11:37Well, I loved it.
00:11:38I mean, you sound fantastic.
00:11:40The four of you work together
00:11:42and it feels like you're having fun.
00:11:43It's scary doing this today.
00:11:45Yeah, well, this is always scary.
00:11:47My mouth's so dry speaking honestly.
00:11:49You've got a right to be scared
00:11:51because millions of people watch the show.
00:11:53It doesn't get any bigger than this.
00:11:55Leo went to the toilet like three times before we came on.
00:11:58Come on.
00:11:59Come on.
00:12:00Nervous, sorry.
00:12:01I love that honesty.
00:12:03I love it.
00:12:06That sounded amazing.
00:12:07It was super exciting.
00:12:08And there aren't any other bands like you out there at the moment.
00:12:10It's really refreshing.
00:12:11Appreciate it.
00:12:12Thank you very much.
00:12:13So, out of the crew, like, who makes beats?
00:12:16I'm not going to tell you.
00:12:17I'm a producer.
00:12:18I'll say that.
00:12:19I can make some demos, but, like, that's about it.
00:12:22That's what it's all about.
00:12:23And then you guys all right?
00:12:24Yeah.
00:12:25Dang, that's what's up.
00:12:27All right.
00:12:28You guys got passports?
00:12:30Yeah.
00:12:33We're ready.
00:12:34We're ready, baby.
00:12:35We're ready.
00:12:36I think what that does just highlights the fact that
00:12:38Will does not even live in this country with us and our team.
00:12:41We live here.
00:12:4324-7 care on our team, guys.
00:12:46If he needs the loo, I'm here.
00:12:49If I need the loo, he's here.
00:12:52All right, look, we are the best qualified to be your coaches.
00:12:55We know exactly what it's like to live and breathe,
00:12:58being in a band for 21 years.
00:13:00And the hard bit is the relationship between band members.
00:13:04We have been through highs and lows and ups and downs,
00:13:07and we have so much experience that we can offer you guys
00:13:10to get you through the rest of this competition.
00:13:18I've been in the group for a while as well.
00:13:23That's where I got that type of perspective.
00:13:25I'd love to share with you guys.
00:13:27I'd love for you to be on my team.
00:13:31I know I might not be the obvious choice,
00:13:34but don't be basic and don't be obvious.
00:13:39You know?
00:13:40You guys remind me of the good old days in the 90s.
00:13:42The harmonies were so tight, and I would love, love, love to work with you.
00:13:45So, yeah.
00:13:51I love what you do.
00:13:52I will try and get the best out of you that I possibly could.
00:13:55Even though I'm not part of a group myself,
00:13:57I know what a group should sound like.
00:13:59So it's up to you, though, to figure out who you'd like to go with
00:14:02and who you feel more comfortable with, you know,
00:14:04and to get the best out of you.
00:14:10Let's have a little chat.
00:14:20That was amazing to hear, you know,
00:14:22all the lovely things that you guys had to say about us.
00:14:24So thank you so much for that.
00:14:25For us being a group,
00:14:27it would be good to have somebody who maybe knows, like, the group dynamic.
00:14:32So we would like to choose...
00:14:35Will.
00:14:36Will.
00:14:37Will.
00:14:38Will.
00:14:39Will.
00:14:40Will.
00:14:41Will.
00:14:42Will.
00:14:43Will.
00:14:44Will.
00:14:45Will.
00:14:46Will.
00:14:47Will.
00:14:48Will.
00:14:49Will.
00:14:50Will.
00:14:51Will.
00:14:52Will.
00:14:53Will.
00:14:54Will.
00:14:55Will.
00:14:57That was awesome!
00:15:00Yeah!
00:15:04Well done.
00:15:05Well done, mate.
00:15:06Well done, mate.
00:15:07That's a strong start.
00:15:08They're really tied, though, aren't they?
00:15:10Yeah.
00:15:11That group dynamic is so important.
00:15:12There's a certain thing there that you guys understand that we don't.
00:15:15It's going to be some tough pitching.
00:15:17Damn it, Will.
00:15:27CHEERING
00:15:30So, what are you guys looking for in this blind audition?
00:15:33When you get someone who can really sing
00:15:35with somebody who can make you feel something,
00:15:37like, that's the ultimate artist.
00:15:39You've got to put 100% in and don't hold anything back.
00:15:44If they're exciting, then I'll hit the button.
00:15:46It's a bit harder on our team. It's not just about what I want.
00:15:49I was going to say, do you guys agree mostly?
00:15:52No.
00:15:53No.
00:15:54LAUGHTER
00:15:55We've been working with each other for over 21 years.
00:15:58Wow.
00:15:59Yeah, but you started younger than I did.
00:16:01Oh, yeah, I started on stage when I was five.
00:16:03What?!
00:16:04Yeah.
00:16:05I got my record deal when I was 11.
00:16:06Get out!
00:16:07I've been doing this for 30 years now.
00:16:09How did you have that type of confidence at 11 years old, though?
00:16:12You just know.
00:16:13Like, that's the kind of confidence I hope everyone walking on this stage has.
00:16:17You're fearless.
00:16:18You know what I mean?
00:16:26So, how are you feeling, Harvs?
00:16:28Nervous, excited, a bit nervous again.
00:16:32My name's Harvey Powell, I'm 18 and I'm from Doncaster.
00:16:35You'll be fine.
00:16:37I hope so.
00:16:38My mum and nanny are definitely my top two fans.
00:16:41Harvey is the most loving, caring child you could ask for.
00:16:46We are really, really close and he knows I'm there no matter what.
00:16:50Today is the biggest day I've ever had in my life.
00:16:53It's like, boom, you're here, it's happening.
00:16:56I started singing when I was about 16, when I started going busking.
00:17:00When you get a crowd, there's no better feeling.
00:17:02That's when I realised that singing is what I wanted to do.
00:17:05My dream is to make a good life out of singing.
00:17:07This could completely change everything forever.
00:17:15My mum and nanny have never, ever made me feel like I can't achieve something.
00:17:18Whenever Harvey sings, it gives me goosebumps.
00:17:20No matter where he is, as long as he can sing, I know he's happy.
00:17:23I don't think I've actually ever felt more nervous.
00:17:26Just the thought of getting that one chair turned,
00:17:28it'll just make me feel like I've achieved everything I've dreamed of.

00:20:18There was something cool there. Yeah.
00:20:20I was willing to moan.
00:20:22I just want to go hug them all. Yeah.
00:20:24I mean, I feel for everybody that comes on this stage.
00:20:27I was really wanting to,
00:20:29but it just became a little bit more unsteady as we went along.
00:20:33Oh, that killed me too.
00:20:38Testing.

00:20:42LAUGHTER
00:20:44MUSIC CONTINUES
00:20:47My wife needs you!
00:20:49Yes, dear. How much?
00:20:51£9.99. Cheers.
00:20:53My name is Joy and I'm from North West London.
00:20:56I'm 56 years old.
00:20:58I feel like a dinosaur sometimes.
00:21:01We have a hair and beauty shop.
00:21:04It's fun. I go round the till, don't even know what I'm doing.
00:21:08But I have an amazing husband.
00:21:11Hi, Mo.
00:21:14There you go. How do you do that?
00:21:16He put me on a till in the first place.
00:21:18But it's wonderful working with him.
00:21:20I mean, he knows every product in that shop.
00:21:23Mo! Mo! Mo!
00:21:26Oh, my God, he had the patience of a god.
00:21:28I've got a good one.
00:21:32How are you feeling?
00:21:34Quite make me emotional because her dream is going to become true.
00:21:38Don't start, yeah, cos you're going to mess up my face.
00:21:42Singing is my passion.
00:21:44It's my real love.
00:21:46I mean, I do backing vocal sessions, I arrange vocals.
00:21:50Auditioning on The Voice is something I've contemplated for a few years.
00:21:56I think now I feel very ready.
00:22:06Joy had a gift from God, I think so, for singing.
00:22:09Her voice can go inside your soul.
00:22:13I've been singing for many years, like over 50 years now,
00:22:17as a backing singer.
00:22:19Today is the day when I can really showcase who I am,
00:22:23showcase Joy.
00:22:43Yeah, yeah, yeah
00:22:48Mmm
00:22:51It's a little bit funny
00:22:56This feeling inside
00:23:02I'm not one of those who
00:23:07Can easily hide, no
00:23:11I don't have much money but
00:23:18Boy, if I did
00:23:24I'd make a house where
00:23:29We both could live
00:23:35I knew
00:23:39Tell everybody
00:23:43This is a song
00:23:46Oh
00:23:49It may be quite simple
00:23:54Now that it's done
00:23:59I hope you don't mind
00:24:02I hope you don't mind
00:24:05I hope you don't mind
00:24:08I hope you don't mind
00:24:12Life is
00:24:15What you're in
00:24:17Well
00:24:21I hope you don't mind
00:24:36Why have we not turned?
00:24:40Why are we doing this?
00:24:46What are we doing?
00:24:48I don't know
00:24:49Hi beautiful, what's your name?
00:24:51Joy Farouk
00:24:52Pure joy is what you are
00:24:54Thank you
00:24:55Wow, that was beautiful
00:24:56Thank you for telling me, I appreciate that
00:24:58I just love the take on that song
00:25:00I actually didn't realise what song I was listening to
00:25:03That's probably why nobody else turned
00:25:04No, I thought
00:25:09Even if none of you turned
00:25:10I'm just happy to stand here right now
00:25:12I'll be honest with you
00:25:14Thank you Sir Tom
00:25:16Two good looking guys there
00:25:18Thank you so much
00:25:23Well
00:25:25I still love you baby
00:25:26But it's, you know
00:25:29I'm so happy that I get to play with you
00:25:31We're gonna have fun
00:25:32You were all in it
00:25:33Like so much
00:25:34And I love a risk like that
00:25:36Just one little thing for me
00:25:38Look, you can do every run in the book
00:25:40I would have loved to have heard a little bit more
00:25:43Of a differentiation
00:25:44You wanna have another go?
00:25:45Do you want to show me something different?
00:25:47I'd love to hear it
00:25:48Would you sing it with me?
00:25:49Oh
00:25:54Sure
00:25:55Girl
00:25:59Girl
00:26:03Oh my
00:26:04Is this really happening?
00:26:06I love it
00:26:07You're the queen
00:26:08Hi
00:26:10Oh my God
00:26:13Hear this lady on microphone
00:26:16Come on
00:26:17Yes
00:26:19It's a little bit funny
00:26:25This feeling inside
00:26:32I don't know the words
00:26:34All of the time
00:26:35It doesn't matter
00:26:37Back in his house
00:26:44I don't have much money
00:26:48Really?
00:26:50I don't have much money
00:26:56I got a big house
00:27:02I got a big house
00:27:06Oh
00:27:07I hope you don't mind
00:27:10I hope you don't mind
00:27:14That I put down in words
00:27:17Oh
00:27:18Wonderful

00:28:10You can do it.
00:28:13What now?
00:28:14Any more questions?
00:28:16You guys have been quiet.
00:28:21Oh, you're going to talk now.
00:28:23What? No.
00:28:25I'm trying to.
00:28:27I forgive you guys for not turning.
00:28:29Don't worry about it.
00:28:31After listening to the two of you sing together,
00:28:33you were the right coach.
00:28:35You're trying to get out of something here, Tom.
00:28:37No, no, I'm not.
00:28:39That's gold right there.
00:28:41Seriously.
00:28:43Your gold is her gold.
00:28:45Bye, everyone.
00:28:47Love you.
00:28:54We're going to kick ass.
00:29:04She's amazing.
00:29:06Well, there you go.
00:29:09I didn't say one thing.
00:29:11He's funny.
00:29:13I know. I got told off.
00:29:17I think I have my hair in school.
00:29:19Really?
00:29:21I have never seen a moment like that.
00:29:24That was fun.

00:30:58How do you like the UK so far?
00:31:00I like the UK. It's my favourite.
00:31:02I've always felt very much at home here.
00:31:04Do you like more posh style UK?
00:31:06Do you like more, like, Cockney UK?
00:31:08Like, what type of UK vibes?
00:31:10You know what? I can dig pretty much anything.
00:31:12But I like something with a little bit of Grit and Edge.
00:31:15What part of the UK do you like, Danny?
00:31:17Bolton.
00:31:18CHEERING
00:31:20I think Leon's got the little bit of Grit and Edge you're looking for.
00:31:24That just might be it.
00:31:26LAUGHTER
00:31:29Thank you, guys.
00:31:31Nice and quiet, everyone. Thank you very much.
00:31:37I'm Kyra, I'm 20, and I'm from Manchester.
00:31:42I'm a student and I'm studying access to veterinary medicine.
00:31:45This is one of our ibis, suffered a fracture to the leg.
00:31:49Aw!
00:31:50I love it, but it's really hard.
00:31:53I've always been drawn to animals, yeah.
00:31:55I like animals more than people.
00:31:57Sometimes, so that's the route I'm going.
00:32:01First realised Kyra enjoyed singing
00:32:04when she was able to sit in the toilet.
00:32:07She'd just sing all the time, all the way to nursery,
00:32:10all the way back.
00:32:12She was born to sing.
00:32:16A couple of years ago, my life kind of flipped on its head.
00:32:20All of a sudden, my health rapidly declined.
00:32:24I was bed-bound for months.
00:32:27And then I was diagnosed with a chronic illness called Potts syndrome.
00:32:32Her brain and her heart can't communicate properly,
00:32:35so her body just shuts down, she can't stand up.
00:32:38So she's now a wheelchair user.
00:32:41Yeah.
00:32:43The past couple of years definitely sucked.
00:32:46What helped me most was music.
00:32:49Just mad. Can't believe I'm here.
00:32:53I've always sang, but it's mainly been for fun.
00:32:56Just bedroom stuff. That's it.
00:33:01I'm dead proud of you getting up there and doing what you love.
00:33:04I hope that something good comes from it. Yeah.
00:33:09The condition has definitely affected my singing.
00:33:12You're always taught that you need to stand up
00:33:14for good projection and whatever,
00:33:16so relearning how to sing sat down.
00:33:23I'd like to show people, even if you've got limitations,
00:33:27it doesn't have to stop you from doing something like this.
00:33:30You'll be great. You're shaking.
00:33:34I'm definitely excited for the challenge, but it is terrifying.
00:33:39I'm just hoping that my nerves don't get the better of me
00:33:42and I sound how I do in my bedroom when I'm practising.
00:33:47MUSIC CONTINUES
00:33:49Oh, take me away
00:33:52I won't ever be the same
00:34:07Once I was away
00:34:10Come on.
00:34:12Till I got home
00:34:17Once I was away
00:34:21To get back home
00:34:24Sleep pretty, darling
00:34:27Do not cry
00:34:30And I will sing a lullaby
00:34:35God, it's love you see
00:34:41It's love you speak
00:34:44Oh, it's love
00:34:49Sleep pretty, darling
00:34:52Do not cry
00:34:55And I will sing a lullaby
00:35:00Once I was away
00:35:04To get back home
00:35:09To get back home
00:35:17Once I was away
00:35:21To get back home
00:35:31And I will sing a lullaby
00:35:37Oh, it's love you speak
00:35:44Yes! Yes! Yes!
00:35:47MUSIC CONTINUES
00:35:50CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:36:13What's your name, love?
00:36:15My name's Kyra, I'm 20 and I'm from here in Manchester.
00:36:19CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:36:25Known as an incredibly hard song to sing,
00:36:28it's one of the most amazing songs ever written.
00:36:31As soon as you started singing, all of my hairs were standing off my arm
00:36:34and we say that goosebumps don't lie.
00:36:36I should have pressed instantly, but I think I just wanted to hear
00:36:39the rest of the song, to be honest with you. Well done. Thank you.
00:36:42CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:36:45I was so, so close to turning around.
00:36:47The tone of your voice is so cool. Oh, thank you.
00:36:50Yeah, you've got a very interesting and unique sound, I really dig it.
00:36:53It was really beautiful. Thank you. Yeah. Thanks.
00:36:55That was a lovely rendition of that song.
00:36:57Thank you. Oh, sorry. It's all right.
00:37:00I didn't think I'd cry. Yeah, cry's fine. Crazy.
00:37:03I tried to hold off and listen to what you were going to do
00:37:06because it's a hard song to sing. Yeah.
00:37:08And so I wanted to find out if you were going to carry it,
00:37:11that good, all the way through, and you did.
00:37:15CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:37:21How long have you been in that chair?
00:37:23I've been in this chair for about just over a year now,
00:37:26so it's still pretty new.
00:37:28I've got a condition called Potts syndrome.
00:37:31Basically, I'm, like, allergic to gravity,
00:37:33so if I stand up, my heart rate also shoots up.
00:37:36So I'm, like, an ambulatory wheelchair user,
00:37:38so I use it mostly when I'm outside my house.
00:37:41So, yeah.
00:37:43I mean, you sound great, so... Thank you. Try in.
00:37:51I don't know if you know this, but I wrote a book and a musical
00:37:55that has a wheelchair user as the main character,
00:37:57and I'm a patron for a charity called Whiz Kids,
00:37:59which provides wheelchairs for people under 18.
00:38:01It's an amazing charity.
00:38:02There's so much more work to be done
00:38:04to make performing more accessible,
00:38:06so I think having you on this show is doing an amazing thing.
00:38:09For other people like you, wheelchair users,
00:38:11who want to be on stage performing...
00:38:16Your voice is powerful.
00:38:18Your spirit and drive is powerful.
00:38:21I'm so happy that you're on the show,
00:38:23cos there's a lot of people out there that need that inspiration,
00:38:27that source of determination that you possess.
00:38:31It's beyond admirable.
00:38:35I'm so happy you have the choice
00:38:37between Mr Fletcher and Danny and Sir Tom Jones.
00:38:41APPLAUSE
00:38:48To come out on this big stage and sing like you did was amazing.
00:38:51We knew straight away, that's the magic of music.
00:38:54It gives people emotions, and you made us all feel the emotion.
00:38:58We would love it if you chose our team.
00:39:03And I would love to have you on my team.
00:39:06Yeah.
00:39:08Yeah. Oh, I just... Yeah, I don't know.
00:39:12What are you contemplating?
00:39:14I just love them both.
00:39:16Tom is just, like, icon, legend,
00:39:18and then Danny and Tom are so, like...
00:39:21Handsome.
00:39:25Yeah, sorry.
00:39:28It's up to you.
00:39:30But you make your own decision.
00:39:32Go with your heart.
00:39:35This is where we go.
00:39:41Oh, I don't know.
00:39:43I don't know.
00:39:45I think I'm going to go with...
00:39:55..Danny and Tom.
00:40:00Go ahead.
00:40:04I totally...
00:40:06Oh, man, that's amazing.
00:40:08So lovely to meet you. Nice to meet you.
00:40:10That's amazing. Thank you so much.
00:40:12I promise you, we're going to work so hard for you.
00:40:15I'm so glad you picked us. Wow.
00:40:17We won't let you down.
00:40:19Congratulations.
00:40:27How do we beat Tom?
00:40:35Oh, my God!
00:40:43I think the thing that swung her over
00:40:45was the fact that you called yourself cute.
00:40:48Handsome. Oh, you said handsome?
00:40:50Yeah, I'm not cute.
00:41:05You guys have been here forever.
00:41:07How are we doing? Are we doing all right?
00:41:09Terrible. Terrible.
00:41:11Terrible. Thank you. I'll try harder.
00:41:13You're doing great. It feels great.
00:41:15It feels very natural, I think.
00:41:17It does. We just, like, slid right in.
00:41:19Everyone fits in perfectly.
00:41:21I'm so happy. I feel good.
00:41:25I knew that I would not.
00:41:27I knew that I would not.
00:41:29I knew that I would not.
00:41:31I knew that I would not.
00:41:34I feel good.
00:41:38I knew that I would not.
00:41:41So good.
00:41:43So good.
00:41:45I got you.
00:41:56I'm Kevin. I'm 32. I'm a plumber.
00:41:58Living in Huddersfield, but I'm from Jamaica.
00:42:03Plumbing is a lovely job.
00:42:05It's rewarding.
00:42:07But what gets me through the day is singing, man.
00:42:09Singing. I love singing.
00:42:13Sometimes the customers,
00:42:15they hear me singing...
00:42:17Hey!
00:42:19It just makes you feel good.
00:42:23How are you feeling?
00:42:25I'm excited. It's a surreal moment.
00:42:27Believe me.
00:42:29I have a beautiful wife, Deidre.
00:42:31She's my rock.
00:42:33My dream for Kevin is that the coaches
00:42:35hear the magic in his voice.
00:42:37And if they turn,
00:42:39they'll get to see the person behind it as well
00:42:41and realise that he's a phenomenal guy.
00:42:47Today for me is something
00:42:49that I've always dreamed about.
00:42:51Although I love being a plumber,
00:42:53singing is what I love the most.
00:43:01If a coach turned,
00:43:03it would just change my life.
00:43:17Yeah!
00:43:19Say I feel good
00:43:23When you're wrapped up in my arms
00:43:25Dancing to a reggae song

00:44:17We are alone
00:44:19Now I feel good

00:45:47You know I had a crush on her
00:45:49When I was 17
00:45:51And she moved to England
00:45:53And I'm like oh darn it
00:45:55Ten years later I went through my church doors
00:45:57And she was there standing
00:46:01Fast forward to 2019 we got married
00:46:03So we've been married ever since
00:46:05She makes the best Yorkshire pudding
00:46:13Amazing

00:47:11How are you feeling today?
00:47:13I'm feeling okay
00:47:19I'm nervous right now
00:47:21I'm Danielle
00:47:23I'm 34 years old and I'm a singer from London
00:47:25I moved to London from France
00:47:27I just wanted to explore
00:47:29Initially it was for a year
00:47:31And here I am 14 years later
00:47:33I miss the food
00:47:35French food is sorry
00:47:37But matched
00:47:41I have two godchildren
00:47:43They are 6 and 8 years old
00:47:45They like my singing
00:47:47Yeah
00:47:49Who's Auntie Danny's biggest fan?
00:47:51Me me me me
00:47:55Growing up I joined my local church choir
00:47:57I guess that's when I realised
00:47:59Okay
00:48:01I guess I can sing
00:48:07People tend to be a bit surprised
00:48:09When they hear me sing
00:48:11I want to show my godchildren
00:48:13That it's okay to go after your dreams
00:48:15Even if they may be scary
00:48:17Or seem unattainable
00:48:19It's always worth going after them
00:48:27Thank you
00:48:37She was lost
00:48:39In so many different ways
00:48:43Out in the darkness
00:48:45With no guide
00:48:51I know the cost
00:48:53Of losing him
00:48:55But for the grace
00:48:57Of God
00:48:59Go I
00:49:01I found heaven
00:49:03On earth
00:49:05You are my last
00:49:07My first
00:49:09I always hear these
00:49:11Voices inside me
00:49:17Ave Maria

00:49:47Beautiful
00:49:55Yes
00:49:57Yes
00:49:59Come on guys
00:50:01Ave Maria
00:50:03Ave Maria
00:50:05Ave Maria
00:50:35With somebody in the north
00:50:37And I don't wanna say
00:50:39Because I know it's bad
00:50:41But I pray for somebody
00:50:43I pray for somebody
00:50:55I'm good
00:51:01That's pretty cool
00:51:03I should do that
00:51:07It's horrible not turning
00:51:09Oh that was hard
00:51:11That was really hard
00:51:13Sometimes a singer can tick all the boxes
00:51:15But just doesn't make you feel it
00:51:17You can't fault that performance
00:51:19It was great, she sang it great
00:51:21I don't know it just didn't make my hair stand up
00:51:23It nearly did
00:51:27She's like an angel
00:51:29Did I?
00:51:31We made a really wrong decision right?
00:51:33Yeah
00:51:35Missed that one
00:51:37Seriously
00:51:39We're so sorry that we didn't turn
00:51:41So please if you're watching this
00:51:43And Twitter right now is going crazy
00:51:45And they're like

01:03:04you
01:03:18This has been a really incredible start like what a great first day. What are we doing?
01:03:27How many do we all have on our team no, I have two we all love one I think we've all taken off
01:03:33I
01:03:41Barely lock it. I'm 32 years old. I'm a singer-songwriter from Northampton. I
01:03:48Realized I wanted to do music at about eight years old. My mum bought a piano
01:03:51I loved it and I remember my parents being very confused that I was able to pick it up
01:03:56So quickly, I would always just tinker around with things and I'd hear my dad screaming from up the stairs
01:04:02Oh, that's nice. And then he'd run down really excited like a puppy
01:04:07He just loved everything about me making music. It was his dream for me to do this
01:04:14Sadly in 2014 my dad passed away
01:04:18He was an inspiration. I think that's another reason why I'm a lot more focused on writing songs that make people feel something
01:04:25When I was 18, I tweeted Katie Tunstall
01:04:30I sent her a video of me singing one of my songs and she replied saying that she really liked the video and brought me
01:04:36On a whole UK tour at the end of it managed to get a record deal about 22 years old
01:04:41And everything started to really fly that lasted till I was 26 and then they dropped me
01:04:50But for me, I can't not make music
01:04:54It's in my DNA is it's chosen me
01:05:02I do feel nervous now. This could be a huge life-changing moment. That's why we're here
01:05:08My mum is amazing. She believes in me like no one else. I am already so proud of you
01:05:16For the blind audition. I'm gonna do one of my own songs. It is a huge risk
01:05:20But you know, I want them to feel my struggle hopefully the coaches like it, but I'm trying to think about it too much
01:05:29I've always felt there be this one big breaking moment that changes my life. Hopefully this is that
01:05:50I
01:05:56Swear I wasn't always like
01:06:03Lately I feel like a stranger
01:06:07Living in my own skin
01:06:11Not don't know how much of this I can take
01:06:17And if only
01:06:28In silence again
01:06:43We
01:06:47Could use
01:07:09If only I
01:07:12I say what I'm thinking instead. I'm just sick
01:07:38Could you
01:07:41Oh
01:08:11You
01:08:13What is your name Billy Lockett the song that you played is that one of yours? Yeah, it's one of mine that was
01:08:21Magical you moved me so deeply. I was holding back tears because so incredibly powerful
01:08:32You felt to me like you meant it you were burying your soul and that's why I hit my button I thought it was great
01:08:38Thank you
01:08:41How long have you been singing since I was about 16
01:08:44I did my first tour when I was 18, but you know, I've been signed and dropped
01:08:48So maybe this has been the right time
01:08:50You should not let that discourage you or hold you back and your voice is just too awesome to not have turned
01:08:57You got something really special, bro
01:09:03Record company, they're cool
01:09:05But sometimes they overthink it they're trying to fix you in some type of algorithm
01:09:10When you hit our heart rhythm and you made us all feel something and I want to thank you for that
01:09:15I'd love for you to be on my team. Your songs are freaking awesome. That's my pitch
01:09:25The reason that I'm on this show is I love listening to singers I haven't heard before I
01:09:31Think you should be headlining shows so that the world can see you
01:09:35I'll do all I can to help you with this wonderful talent that you have
01:09:44It is a true gift to be able to share your heart with the world and I would love to support you in
01:09:51This journey of yours and by the way, I'm playing the o2 in London
01:09:55If you were to come on my team
01:09:57I would really love for you to come sing a song with me
01:10:06Well, guess what what Danny we're playing the O2 on the 10th, what's over
01:10:13And we'd like to sing a song with you
01:10:18Don't copy me but not only that like we knew that a moment like this
01:10:24We need is to come up with something special. Oh, no. Yeah, I get my guitar damn
01:10:29Cheers, thank you
01:10:32So this is called team Tom and Danny the musical
01:10:39You have a choice to make a
01:10:42Chance you have to take
01:10:45Whichever coach you choose could help you win or lose and I'd hate you to make a huge mistake
01:10:53I
01:11:00Imagine if you were on

01:11:31If you choose will I am it's not unusual if you want to be on team Tom
01:11:37I'd want to say you're not to blame cuz everybody wants that for a sex bomb
01:11:43You
01:11:50Should pick me
01:11:51You should pick me me me me me me me pick me
01:11:55I didn't write you apart giving me horrible chords cuz he knows I'm gonna kill it. I didn't write it
01:12:00I'm just gonna spill it out
01:12:13How do I breathe without you, what is going on today, if you ever go
01:12:20How do I ever
01:12:24ever survive
01:12:32How do I, how do I, how do I live
01:12:44I
01:12:48There's more in a moment
01:12:51You'll decide your destiny
01:12:57Will the team you choose be with Tom and me I
01:13:02Know he'll pick us. I don't doubt it cuz the other coaches didn't write a song
01:13:13With a key change
01:13:15Danny and me
01:13:17I'm not black-eyed peas
01:13:20No, we're not sirs or even OBEs
