00:00:00Being on The Voice is like walking through an art gallery.
00:00:11I'm looking for a Picasso.
00:00:16When music is a canvas that's painted with sound, first of all, The Voice is art.
00:00:23But sometimes you can put too much on that canvas.
00:00:36Minimalism shouldn't be underestimated.
00:00:38If you've got a great voice, just chill.
00:00:40Leave it alone.
00:00:42It's great already.
00:00:50Some voices are classic.
00:00:53Some voices are modern and contemporary.
00:00:56And other voices are more abstract and surreal.
00:00:59Perhaps the greatest art is yet to be created.

00:02:32That was so good. Here we go.
00:02:35How many spaces have we all got left?
00:02:36Let's start with you guys.
00:02:38We have five left.
00:02:40On my team, I've got six.
00:02:42Wow.
00:02:43Four left.
00:02:44I've got six.
00:02:45Wait, do I have six?
00:02:48I have seven.
00:02:49Seven?
00:02:51Wow.
00:02:52Seven.
00:02:54We are ready for our first audition, everybody.
00:02:57Have fun, everyone.
00:02:58Yes, you too.
00:02:59See you on the other side.
00:03:01Are you the girl?
00:03:03What girl?
00:03:04Are you the girl?
00:03:05That's me.
00:03:06That's you.
00:03:07Three, two, one.
00:03:13I'm Matter, I'm 20 and I'm a singer in a Jersey Boys tribute show.
00:03:18I live with my nan.
00:03:19Nanny died.
00:03:20Nan?
00:03:21Yeah?
00:03:22Where's my blue hoodie?
00:03:24Probably where you left it, up bedroom floor.
00:03:29One of the pros about living with Nanny Di is the sausage butties.
00:03:33I'm telling you, you need to try one.
00:03:35I want one right now.
00:03:37Oh, nice one, Nan.
00:03:39I go through about five loaves and about 60 sausages a week.
00:03:45My relationship with my nan goes past just a nan and grandson relationship.
00:03:49She's my manager.
00:03:51When I call her my nanager, she's literally the best in the business.
00:03:55Are you ready? I'm ready, yeah.
00:03:57Right, just call her. Call her, it's fine.
00:03:59You know, when Matty was 12, I went to watch him perform.
00:04:03I actually cried all the way through it
00:04:05and I knew that kid is going to make it one day.
00:04:08I'm going to be crying again.
00:04:11Hello, everyone!
00:04:15She gets me most of my bookings.
00:04:17She always goes in the pubs and clubs, she's always on social media.
00:04:20And the best bit, she doesn't charge any fees.
00:04:23Not yet, anyway.
00:04:26My nan has said if I don't get a chair turn,
00:04:29she is going to be having words with Tom Jones.
00:04:31Someone turn, please.
00:04:36How are you feeling?
00:04:38I'm just excited, very excited.
00:04:41It's not every day that you get to perform for five, not four,
00:04:45five major celebrities.
00:04:48He's worked so hard, he deserves to make it.
00:04:52He's one in a million. I love him to bits.
00:04:57This is such a big opportunity for me.
00:05:01Just live in the moment and see what happens.
00:05:17Thank you so much.
00:05:47Nice voice. Good vibrato.
00:06:18All these days I feel like you and me
00:06:22Heartbreak anniversary
00:06:26Cos I remember every time
00:06:32All these days I feel like you and me
00:06:37Heartbreak anniversary
00:06:39Do you ever think of me?
00:06:42Do you ever think of me?
00:06:52Heartbreak anniversary
00:07:00It's up to you.
00:07:06Come on! Come on, Mama!
00:07:09Really, mate?
00:07:26What's your name?
00:07:28My name's Matthew Scott, I'm 20,
00:07:30and I'm from a little tiny town called St Helens.
00:07:34So, Matty Scott, you didn't think no-one was going to turn?
00:07:39I was very scared nobody was.
00:07:41Oh, Tom Jones, sorry.
00:07:47Oh, my heart.
00:07:50Yeah, I was just very excited and it got to the very last second,
00:07:53so I was very nervous.
00:07:55Your voice is really, really awesome.
00:07:57The way you control your vibratos.
00:08:01Oh, look, he's smiling.
00:08:03Usually people that have, like, strong vibratos
00:08:07don't control it, but the fact you had a fast vibrato,
00:08:10a slow vibrato, you had parts of the singing
00:08:12that you didn't have vibrato,
00:08:14means that you know how to navigate your instrument.
00:08:16Thank you, it means a lot.
00:08:18Really, really awesome.
00:08:20How long have you been singing?
00:08:22I've been working doing it for two years now,
00:08:24so I'm in a Jersey Boys tribute.
00:08:26Oh, really?
00:08:28Yeah, amazing.
00:08:31That voice.
00:08:33Wait, can you do that song for us?
00:08:37Sherry, Sherry, baby
00:08:41Sherry, baby
00:08:48Sherry, can you come out tonight?
00:09:02Well, Tom, what year was that?
00:09:04In the 60s, early 60s.
00:09:06So at that time, like, what were people thinking about,
00:09:08like, somebody just sticking to falsetto like that
00:09:11and just, like, crushing it?
00:09:13That was one of the things about Frankie Valli,
00:09:15you know, who I got to know very well.
00:09:18I said to him, you know,
00:09:20how the hell do you sing like that all the time?
00:09:22And he said, that's his natural way of singing.
00:09:25Yeah.
00:09:26You know, he never sang any other way,
00:09:28but it was a unique sound at that time.
00:09:30It was different at the time.
00:09:32Like you were different now.
00:09:34No, but honestly, you know,
00:09:36what you did was really interesting.
00:09:38So please forgive me for not hitting my button.
00:09:41I should have done.
00:09:42Thank you so much, honestly, thank you.
00:09:46Same for us.
00:09:47I think this is a classic example of me and Danny
00:09:50overthinking it and trying to second-guess each other,
00:09:52and we totally should have, we made a mistake.
00:09:54Hold on, that's not true, you stopped me from turning.
00:09:58Oh, did you?
00:10:01I'm joking, I'm joking.
00:10:03That's not true.
00:10:05That was a joke.
00:10:06That was a low blow, Joan.
00:10:07I'm sorry.
00:10:08I'm sorry, though, we should have turned.
00:10:09It's okay, honestly, thank you.
00:10:13I love that you're having the time of your life.
00:10:15Your joy is like super infectious.
00:10:17It really is.
00:10:18Thank you, thank you, thank you.
00:10:19Honestly, like, I saw Will digging it so much,
00:10:21and I've learned not to get too trigger-happy,
00:10:23so that's why I was just like controlling myself
00:10:25just a little bit, but I was this close.
00:10:27Don't you worry.
00:10:28That was amazing.
00:10:29Honestly, thank you so much.
00:10:30That was very good.
00:10:31Thank you, guys.
00:10:32Thank you, Will.
00:10:33Thank you so, so much, honestly.
00:10:35Thank you, thank you.
00:10:44That was great, honestly.
00:10:46Well done, mate.
00:11:01I'm proud.
00:11:03All right.
00:11:04Oh, bless you.
00:11:07She's got a great personality.
00:11:09Yeah, I like it.
00:11:10Yeah.
00:11:11Yeah.
00:11:12Oh, we should have turned.
00:11:13Yeah, I was almost there.
00:11:14It was...
00:11:15Yeah.
00:11:16That close.
00:11:17Me too.
00:11:18I'm looking for a really strong male singer today.
00:11:20Almost is not good enough.
00:11:30I'm Yima.
00:11:31I'm 36.
00:11:32I'm a stay-at-home mum, and I live in Manchester.
00:11:34I've got three kids.
00:11:35They are seven, six, and three.
00:11:37It is definitely a job that keeps up my toes.
00:11:41My husband and I met at university.
00:11:43Married for ten years.
00:11:45Wow.
00:11:46We have a lot of good time together, a lot of laughter.
00:11:48I know that.
00:11:49He's got my back.
00:11:50Shout-out to him.
00:11:53Yima, wow.
00:11:54She is incredible.
00:11:55Kids love her, adore her.
00:11:56You know, when I walk in the house, I say,
00:11:58Hi, Dad, how you doing?
00:11:59When she walks in, Mummy!
00:12:00So, we don't have a quiet house.
00:12:02We have a lot of noise.
00:12:03Good noise.
00:12:04Good, soulful noise.
00:12:06I was able to focus a lot more on my music when I was younger.
00:12:11When I got married, I had a family.
00:12:13I think music kind of naturally fell from view.
00:12:16But it's time to get up and get back into the saddle again.
00:12:19When there's a will, there's a way.
00:12:22I want to show my kids that no matter what age you are,
00:12:25no matter what responsibilities you have,
00:12:27nothing's impossible, so that they can say,
00:12:29Oh, Mummy's doing it, so I can do it too.
00:12:32I just want them to be inspired.
00:12:47Through the fire
00:12:50To the limit
00:12:52To the wall
00:12:55For a chance to be with you
00:13:00I'd gladly risk it all
00:13:05Even through the fire
00:13:14When it's this sweet, there's no saying wrong
00:13:20I want you so
00:13:23I'm ready to go
00:13:27Through the fire
00:13:29To the limit
00:13:31To the wall
00:13:33For a chance to be with you
00:13:37I'd gladly risk it all
00:13:42Through the fire
00:13:44Through whatever
00:13:45Hell or what may
00:13:48For a chance of loving you
00:13:51I'd take it all my way
00:13:55Right down to the wire
00:13:58Even through the fire
00:14:17I live for the pressure
00:14:20I'm kept in the mess of a mess
00:14:23Can't shut my mouth after
00:14:26I start to wish that you were here
00:14:30And I'll tell you not to worry
00:14:33There was a lot going on there.
00:14:36Yeah.
00:14:37But tremendous voice.
00:14:39It just, there were some pitchy issues, and I don't know,
00:14:42it just, it didn't quite get there for me.
00:14:45I was really hoping for a return,
00:14:47but I think there were some notes that were a bit, you know, funky.
00:14:52Really proud of you, babe. You did really well.
00:14:54Thank you. Well done.
00:14:55It's getting really hard now, isn't it?
00:14:57Very.
00:14:58I think we're overthinking things.
00:14:59Yeah.
00:15:00But, you know, that's where it's, you know, it's hard.
00:15:02It's not fair to judge people based on the spaces you've got left.
00:15:05You've got to judge them on their talent.
00:15:07Yeah, that's true.
00:15:08That's right.
00:15:22Hi, Danny.
00:15:23Congratulations on the Masked Singer.
00:15:25Woo!
00:15:26Thank you very much.
00:15:28Maybe Leon Rhyme doesn't know.
00:15:30Danny was in the Masked Singer.
00:15:32I heard.
00:15:33I actually won the Masked Singer in the States, too.
00:15:35We have that in common.
00:15:36You were in it in the States?
00:15:37Yeah, I won it in the States.
00:15:38What were you?
00:15:39I was the sun.
00:15:40You were the sun?
00:15:41I was the sun.
00:15:42Danny, that's bright.
00:15:43Damn.
00:15:44Shining.
00:15:45Yeah.
00:15:46I was the sun.
00:15:47You were the sun?
00:15:48I was the sun.
00:15:49Shining.
00:15:50Yeah.
00:15:51Did you pick the piranha?
00:15:52Like, wait.
00:15:53What other type of things did you have to choose from?
00:15:56There was a bush.
00:15:57A who?
00:15:58A bush.
00:15:59A bush, yeah.
00:16:00A bull.
00:16:01And I was like, that's not me.
00:16:05Should we have to go on?
00:16:06She is about to go on.
00:16:07Is she actually?
00:16:08Yeah.
00:16:09Oh, I thought we were going to watch someone else first, get into it.
00:16:11Oh, absolutely not.
00:16:13I'm Roisin, I'm 28, and I'm a cafe worker from Glasgow.
00:16:17Can I have a coffee to go, please, Roisin?
00:16:19Yes, of course you can.
00:16:20Working at the cafe is great, but it's definitely not when I want to be full-time.
00:16:24I want to be a full-time pop star.
00:16:28But she's so sweet.
00:16:30Even at work, all the ladies keep telling me,
00:16:32we love having you here, but you need to go.
00:16:34Because all I do is talk about my music when I'm working.
00:16:37Maybe they all know how bad my coffee is, actually,
00:16:39Maybe they all know how bad my coffee is, actually,
00:16:41now that I'm saying that out loud.
00:16:45About four years ago, I got my old keyboard out,
00:16:48started writing songs again.
00:16:50I was getting dead excited about it.
00:16:52And then I got diagnosed with skin cancer.
00:16:59Life just kind of paused.
00:17:05It was incredibly hard to watch.
00:17:08That joy and that energy that was Roisin,
00:17:11that did go missing in that time.
00:17:15And it's taken these last couple of years for that to come back to Roisin.
00:17:22Now I am all healthy and happy and in remission.
00:17:26I look back at that time and think,
00:17:28everything happens for a reason.
00:17:31So it really made me focus and know exactly what I wanted to do,
00:17:34which is be a pop star, be a singer.
00:17:39You are going to smash it. You're going to be amazing.
00:17:42Pressure.
00:17:43I'll be genuinely surprised if you walk off that stage.
00:17:46I'm going to have to walk off at one point.
00:17:48Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're staying in the show, though.
00:17:55Being on stage is freeness for me.
00:17:58I get up there and I can't imagine being any happier.
00:18:03I'm going to walk onto that stage today and I'm going to own it.
00:18:07That's the plan.
00:18:33MUSIC PLAYS
00:18:43Really interesting tone there.
00:18:58I like it.
00:19:02MUSIC CONTINUES
00:19:33MUSIC CONTINUES
00:19:36MUSIC CONTINUES
00:20:01CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:20:06MUSIC CONTINUES
00:20:16Hi. Hi, guys.
00:20:18What's your name? I'm Roisin McCartney.
00:20:21I'm 28 from Glasgow and I'm a cafe worker.
00:20:24CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:20:26I'm so excited!
00:20:28Love Glasgow.
00:20:30It's fun. One of the best places to perform.
00:20:33It is. It is. I'm going to agree with that as well,
00:20:36if I say so myself.
00:20:40I really dug your voice.
00:20:42I could hear a little bit of Miley Cyrus rasp thing going on.
00:20:45Thank you. You know, I could hear that.
00:20:47The tone was cool. I dug it. I really did.
00:20:49Thank you so much. I enjoyed it, yeah.
00:20:54What brought you to The Voice?
00:20:56What did I think of The Voice?
00:20:58Well, I'm a part-time pop star just now
00:21:00and I thought, I really want to make this full-time.
00:21:02So, here I am just trying to live the dream, basically.
00:21:05Where is one country you can't wait to perform in
00:21:09that really signifies you're on your road
00:21:12to global superstardom?
00:21:14That's a good question.
00:21:16I feel like once I've conquered the UK,
00:21:18it would need to be America.
00:21:20And I've got loads of aunties over there, so they could push me on.
00:21:23So, no France?
00:21:25Oh, I don't really know France. Spain?
00:21:27Do you know what? You're right, Spain. Brazil?
00:21:29I feel like you're just less than all the countries
00:21:31I've never been to.
00:21:33Well, look, this is a great geography lesson,
00:21:35but welcome to our team!
00:21:41Amazing. Oh, we're excited, man.
00:21:43That was amazing.
00:21:45Welcome. Sorry you left it to the end.
00:21:47No, don't be, Dan.
00:21:49Can't wait to hear it.
00:21:56I'll tell you what, you've picked the right coaches.
00:21:58You know what, like, we can all talk about the colours in our hair,
00:22:01and, like, I'm so excited.
00:22:03This is me living my childhood dream with McFly right now.
00:22:06Oh, I'm so happy!
00:22:12Old song for a young girl. Yeah.
00:22:14Yeah, she had a lovely voice.
00:22:15What I liked was she just gave energy in the moment.
00:22:17Oh, yeah, yeah, plenty of energy.
00:22:19You know, that kind of... Yep.
00:22:20Song choice is so important. Yeah.
00:22:22Leanne, if you were auditioning, what would your audition song be?
00:22:26Oh, that's hard.
00:22:28I might have come out here with Summertime by Janis Joplin.
00:22:31Ooh! I would do that.
00:22:33Yes, fine. I've got the vibe.
00:22:35I've got the feathers.
00:22:37I would write a song.
00:22:39I sing my songs better than other people's songs.
00:22:42Wow, Tom, what would you do?
00:22:44I would do a power ballad, I think.
00:22:46Tom, you can sing anything, mate.
00:22:48Everyone's going to turn for you.
00:22:50What would yours be? Yeah.
00:22:52Backstreet Boys.
00:22:55I feel like there's a story there
00:22:57that you're not wanting to let out of the bag.
00:23:00We were 16.
00:23:02Universal were putting together a boy band.
00:23:04In Walks, Danny Jones.
00:23:06But he didn't know any pop songs.
00:23:08And I taught him I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys.
00:23:11And then he went back in and did the audition
00:23:13and, of course, blew everyone away.
00:23:15After the audition, I went to him and said,
00:23:17look, I want to start a band of my own,
00:23:19I'd love to write some songs with you.
00:23:21And he chose to come and write with me.
00:23:23Do you want to hear the first song ever taught Danny?
00:23:25Yeah!
00:23:27OK.
00:23:34Thank you, sir.
00:23:38All right, you ready?
00:23:42Yeah
00:23:48You are
00:23:51My fire
00:23:53The one
00:23:55Desire
00:23:58Believe
00:24:00When I say
00:24:03I want it that way
00:24:07Tell me why
00:24:09Ain't nothing but a heartache
00:24:12Tell me why
00:24:14Ain't nothing but a mistake
00:24:17Tell me why
00:24:19I never wanna hear you say
00:24:22I want it that way
00:24:27Now I can see that we're falling apart
00:24:31From the way that it used to be, yeah
00:24:36No matter the distance
00:24:39I want you to know
00:24:41That deep down inside of me
00:24:46You are
00:24:48My fire
00:24:50The one
00:24:52Desire
00:24:55You are
00:24:58You are
00:25:03Don't wanna hear you say
00:25:10Ain't nothing but a mistake
00:25:15I never wanna hear you say
00:25:20I want it that way
00:25:24Tell me why
00:25:26Ain't nothing but a heartache
00:25:29Tell me why
00:25:30Ain't nothing but a mistake
00:25:34Tell me why
00:25:35I never wanna hear you say
00:25:39I want it that way
00:25:44I want it that way
00:25:59Oh, thank you very much.
00:26:01Thank you very much.
00:26:13Love you, man.
00:26:15Love you, too, back there.
00:26:20I just love the U.K.
00:26:22The people are just amazing.
00:26:24I've always felt very, very welcomed
00:26:26and just very much at home.
00:26:28Well, I come from Wales.
00:26:31Went to the States, you know, and lived in L.A.
00:26:33for 40 years.
00:26:35The accent was different,
00:26:36but the cab drivers were still like,
00:26:38Hey, Tommy, how you doing?
00:26:39You know what I mean?
00:26:40It's like, and they're over here,
00:26:41All right, Tom.
00:26:42You know, it's a different accent,
00:26:44but the vibes are the same.
00:26:45Yeah.
00:26:46All my favorite artists
00:26:47found appreciation here at first.
00:26:49And a lot of the soul singers
00:26:51that I knew in the 60s
00:26:53always loved coming to England.
00:26:54It's like a magical, beautiful place
00:26:57that loves art.
00:26:58I love being British,
00:27:00and I'm so thankful
00:27:01to be born in Great Britain, honestly.
00:27:04And that's the truth.
00:27:11I'm ready.
00:27:13I'm Chloe Jett.
00:27:14I'm 23.
00:27:15I'm a dog walker from London.
00:27:20I've been a dog walker
00:27:21for the last five years.
00:27:23Good boy.
00:27:24It's literally like dealing with children.
00:27:26Oh, it's woo-hoo!
00:27:28But they don't talk, so it's great.
00:27:31Come on, handsome.
00:27:32We're going this way.
00:27:33Let the games begin.
00:27:35Okey-dokey.
00:27:36Me and my mum, Naila,
00:27:37are super close.
00:27:39We're very open with each other.
00:27:41In!
00:27:44Chloe's loving.
00:27:45She's kind.
00:27:46She's fun.
00:27:47She's just, like, everything.
00:27:51I'm gigging around six times a month
00:27:53all around London.
00:27:55Normally when I perform,
00:27:56it's background music
00:27:57and people are eating.
00:27:58But for this,
00:27:59everyone's eyes and ears are on me.
00:28:02We're excited for you.
00:28:04Yeah, you deserve to get noticed.
00:28:06She's been rejected so many times,
00:28:09but she gets up, she carries on.
00:28:11She needs a break,
00:28:12and I hope this is going to be
00:28:13her break for her.
00:28:23I've never been so passionate
00:28:24about something.
00:28:25I really, genuinely love it.
00:28:27There she is!
00:28:31I just need to focus,
00:28:32remember everything I've practised,
00:28:34give it the best I can,
00:28:35and show them what I've got.
00:28:46Very good.
00:28:56Very good.
00:29:10I don't have anyone like her.
00:29:25Yes!
00:29:53Yes!
00:29:56Yes!
00:30:13Yes!
00:30:15Yes!
00:30:17Yes!
00:30:19Yes!
00:30:21Yes!
00:30:23Yes!
00:30:25Yes!
00:30:28Yes!
00:30:30What's your name?
00:30:31My name is Chloe Jett.
00:30:32It's lovely to meet you all.
00:30:40Sounded really confident.
00:30:41Thank you so much.
00:30:42We knew it was going to be confident
00:30:43because we could tell from your footsteps
00:30:44when they walked out.
00:30:46My big heels, yes.
00:30:47Yeah, I know they said
00:30:48it was a confident walk.
00:30:50We knew you were in for a great performance.
00:30:51Thank you so much.
00:30:52What do you do for a living?
00:30:53I do dog walking.
00:30:54Oh, really?
00:30:55Yeah.
00:30:58Awesome.
00:30:59Do you sing to them?
00:31:00Everyone asks me that!
00:31:01You should!
00:31:03My dog loves it when I sing to them.
00:31:06So, what really sold me was how you flowed,
00:31:10and it was a beautiful way
00:31:12that you were waving and weaving
00:31:14through the rhythm and the music.
00:31:16Thank you so much.
00:31:19So lovely, Willa.
00:31:20I thought that was sexy.
00:31:22It was.
00:31:23You have a really sexy, beautiful voice.
00:31:25I love that you have this very rhythmic thing about you,
00:31:29and when you started singing,
00:31:30I was like, ooh, her voice is so beautiful.
00:31:33It was so good.
00:31:34Loved it.
00:31:35Thank you so much.
00:31:40I will say Will has a couple
00:31:43that may be somewhat similar to you on his team.
00:31:46That's what I was going to ask, yeah.
00:31:48Oh, no, yeah.
00:31:49Yeah?
00:31:50Oh, no, yeah.
00:31:51Yeah.
00:31:52Oh, no, yeah?
00:31:53Oh, no, yeah.
00:31:55I have someone that's dynamic like you.
00:31:58They do rhythm, flowy opera.
00:32:02Okay.
00:32:03But...
00:32:05Like...
00:32:07Can I just say that I personally think
00:32:10having competition and someone that's similar to you
00:32:13is what can bring out the best of you both
00:32:15and push you to be better.
00:32:16When we first broke,
00:32:17there was another band who everyone compared us to
00:32:20and said we were the same as...
00:32:22Who was that?
00:32:23Emma's husband.
00:32:25That was busted.
00:32:26But the truth was, we got on really well,
00:32:29and it was healthy competition,
00:32:31and it pushed us both to be better bands.
00:32:33Yeah.
00:32:34Maybe...
00:32:36Yeah.
00:32:37Just for argument's sake, sorry, Leigh-Anne.
00:32:39You're not helping me at all here.
00:32:40But maybe being on a team where there's someone
00:32:42who's going to push you to be a better version of yourself
00:32:44and have confidence in your own ability.
00:32:46OK, there is this guy.
00:32:48He used to be in this group.
00:32:50And every time I would walk down the street,
00:32:52they would call me that guy because we look a lot alike.
00:32:56The guy's name is Wyclef.
00:32:58And I would be like,
00:32:59one day I'm going to get out of this Wyclef comparison thing
00:33:03cos we really look alike.
00:33:06I'm just younger.
00:33:09And to Tom Fletcher's point,
00:33:12that pressure, that like,
00:33:14ugh, I'm going to prove it to you,
00:33:16you kind of need that gravity.
00:33:19I know Will's probably the more obvious choice for you,
00:33:22but I think people sometimes have a specific idea
00:33:25of who I am and what I can or can't do.
00:33:28I am so deeply versatile in my knowledge of music
00:33:33and what I love.
00:33:34You would be very unique to my team,
00:33:36and I would love to explore wherever you would like to go
00:33:39cos you have such a gift.
00:33:41Thank you so much, thank you.
00:33:45And now I get to choose.
00:33:47Ooh, this is the best part.
00:33:57Leanne, I'm going to go with you.
00:33:59Yay!
00:34:04I'm so excited.
00:34:05Look at the board.
00:34:07You look amazing.
00:34:12CHEERING
00:34:15Out of the box.
00:34:16Out of the box is my favourite way to go, always.
00:34:19Yeah.
00:34:20You did brilliantly.
00:34:22Brilliant.
00:34:23Oh, my darling, amazing.
00:34:26I love her voice.
00:34:27Yeah, her voice is amazing.
00:34:29We are very ready for our next audition, everybody.
00:34:34I am Jack, I'm 20 years old, and I work as a lifeguard.
00:34:38Love being a lifeguard.
00:34:40You're looking after people in the pool,
00:34:42making sure no-one drowns.
00:34:44I had to rescue your granny once.
00:34:46She just panicked up in the deep end.
00:34:48I had to throw the saving rope and had to bring her in.
00:34:51I am from a place called Derry in Northern Ireland.
00:34:54The reason I love Derry is because it's close to the beaches.
00:34:57Getting the fresh air and the waves at your face.
00:35:00Yeah, no, I love the beach, yeah.
00:35:04How are you feeling today about your audition?
00:35:06I am excited.
00:35:08I first started singing probably when I was six.
00:35:11My mammy and dad basically couldn't believe it.
00:35:13They were wondering where I got the singing skills from,
00:35:15because they can't sing.
00:35:16Jack has performed just in front of family,
00:35:19celebrations, birthday parties.
00:35:22You're going to be fabulous, you're going to smash it.
00:35:24And whatever happens, happens.
00:35:26I'm sure if it doesn't work, you're a great swimmer.
00:35:30Being a lifeguard is an amazing job,
00:35:33but I would absolutely love to become a singer.
00:35:36I'm proud.
00:35:39Like, I'm probably biased, but he is a good singer,
00:35:42and this is what he always wanted to do.
00:35:47Yeah, I'm definitely feeling nervous.
00:35:49I mean, this is something I've never done before.
00:35:52Off you go.
00:35:53My dream feels like it's coming closer.
00:35:55It's a massive performance for me.
00:36:06I'm so nervous.
00:36:36So free
00:36:40And all the things you did
00:36:43Great voice.
00:36:46And it was called yellow
00:36:49Gorgeous.
00:36:51Interesting.
00:36:54Your skin
00:36:57Oh yeah, your skin and more
00:37:00To her neck
00:37:02Something beautiful
00:37:05And you know
00:37:08I love you so
00:37:13You know I love you so
00:37:19A palisade for you
00:37:24A palisade for you
00:37:30A palisade
00:37:36I'm on my way
00:37:40Driving out my tea
00:37:43I'm a fancy lady
00:37:47So into tiny dancing
00:37:50What's your name?
00:37:51My name's Jack.
00:37:52Where are you from, Jack?
00:37:53I'm from Derry in Ireland.
00:37:57I thought I detected a little Irish there.
00:37:59Yeah, Irish.
00:38:00I thought you made a lovely sound.
00:38:02Thank you so much, thank you for turning up.
00:38:03Yeah, yeah, really nice.
00:38:04I thought there was a lot of character in that voice.
00:38:06Thank you very much.
00:38:07I really enjoyed it, so that's why I turned.
00:38:09Thank you, thank you.
00:38:14You have an incredibly unique voice.
00:38:16Like, I was looking back going, interesting.
00:38:18That's a really interesting voice.
00:38:20Yeah, I really enjoyed it.
00:38:21Thank you so much.
00:38:25We loved it too.
00:38:26I know we didn't turn, but we're just thrilled that you got through
00:38:29because a voice like yours should not be wasted.
00:38:32So congratulations.
00:38:33Thank you so much.
00:38:37Why did you select that song?
00:38:39I just think it's a really deep meaning to it
00:38:41and, yeah, it's just a really nice song to sing as well.
00:38:44You did great.
00:38:45Thank you very much.
00:38:48You're with me.
00:38:49Welcome to Team Top.
00:38:51Perfect, amazing.
00:38:57No, I really enjoyed it, honestly.
00:38:59It was really good.
00:39:04He's a nice kid.
00:39:05I'm glad he went through.
00:39:06That was a good one, Tom.
00:39:12Well done, Tom.
00:39:13He's adorable.
00:39:14Yeah, he's different, but it was a pretty wise choice.
00:39:17I love seeing the reactions.
00:39:19It's such a pure happiness, isn't it?
00:39:22I know.
00:39:23Yeah.
00:39:24I've never experienced anything like it.
00:39:26Incredible.

00:41:07So how many are we on now?
00:41:09I got three to go.
00:41:11Wow.
00:41:12Three spaces left. You've done well.
00:41:14Will?
00:41:15Eight. So two spaces left.
00:41:17Oh!
00:41:19I have three spaces left.
00:41:20How about you guys?
00:41:22We have six people now.
00:41:24We've got to wait until we really want them, right?
00:41:27They're going to get really picky now.
00:41:29Yeah, we're going to get really picky.
00:41:33Oh, my God, I'm just sorry.
00:41:34Every time I'm like, OK, it's fine,
00:41:36I can hear Tom Jones talking on the microphone.
00:41:38That's number one.
00:41:41I'm Sinead, I'm 18 and I'm a student from Manchester.
00:41:46I've been doing karate since I was five.
00:41:52I'd say my greatest achievement in karate is my black belt
00:41:55because it takes a long time and it takes a lot of work.
00:41:58I love karate because I do it with my mum.
00:42:00It can get competitive.
00:42:03We're like best friends, we do literally everything together.
00:42:06So, like, we've just always been a team.
00:42:10My mum's always been my biggest fan.
00:42:12Even before I could really hold a tune
00:42:14and I wasn't that good at singing, my mum still supported me.
00:42:18Every time I hear her, she just gets better and better.
00:42:21I know who you are and what you're able to do.
00:42:24I am so proud of you, how far you've come.
00:42:41Sinead!
00:42:42Oh, God!
00:42:46Today is massive for me.
00:42:48I've never, ever had an opportunity like this before.
00:42:51I am nervous, but I feel like I'm better with a crowd.
00:42:54It's just, like, the idea of the coaches being right there,
00:42:57that's really, like, the nerve factor.
00:43:03I think Sinead's definitely ready to show the world who she is
00:43:08and to sing, yeah.
00:43:21SINEAD PLAYS
00:43:33It was just two lovers
00:43:35Sitting in the car, listening to Blanc
00:43:37Falling for each other
00:43:39Pink and orange skies, feeling super childish
00:43:42No Donald Glover
00:43:43Missed call from my mother
00:43:45Look where you're at tonight, got a new alibi
00:43:48I was all alone
00:43:50With love all my life
00:43:53She's got glitter for skin
00:43:56A radiant beam in the night
00:44:01I don't need no light
00:44:03To see you shine
00:44:11It's your love, Sinead
00:44:18Oh
00:44:22With love all my life
00:44:26She's got glitter for skin
00:44:29A radiant beam in the night
00:44:34I don't need no light
00:44:36To see you shine
00:44:44It's your girl, Dina
00:44:51Oh
00:44:53You sweat on fire
00:45:00In your girl, Dina
00:45:10APPLAUSE
00:45:16I'm very, very sorry.
00:45:18Maybe next time I'll be your man
00:45:23I'll give you all the things that you've never had
00:45:29I think my nerves definitely got to me.
00:45:31You can hear it in my notes.
00:45:32Just wasn't quite there. Yeah.
00:45:35I think maybe it was a confidence thing there.
00:45:38Yeah, nerves, nerves.
00:45:40Because I was feeling that she didn't believe in herself, maybe.
00:45:43Yeah. But I don't know.
00:45:45I missed the feeling.
00:45:46I think it was massive nerves.
00:45:48Yeah. Yeah.
00:45:49She was struggling there. Yeah.
00:45:51The more time went on without us turning,
00:45:53I felt like she pushed harder and harder
00:45:55and lost it a little bit.
00:45:57Come here.
00:45:59I'm really, really proud of you.
00:46:01Till I won't have to wish it
00:46:04Maybe next time
00:46:08I really feel for them when we haven't turned.
00:46:11We've all been there. We've all been there.
00:46:13When I was 11, I went to...
00:46:17The head of this huge record label in Nashville
00:46:19went to his house and sang in his living room
00:46:22and he said, come back when you're 18.
00:46:24I walked out of his house and I looked at my dad
00:46:26and I said, I'll have a record deal in six weeks.
00:46:28And I did. That's amazing.
00:46:30It's like those no's, I hope that they light a fire
00:46:33underneath people. Yeah.
00:46:36I'm Abdul, I'm 24, and I'm a caterer.
00:46:40Hello, Abdul. I've got this for you.
00:46:43Mum, look at her.
00:46:45Me and my mum are close.
00:46:47Not only do we live together, but we cook together as well.
00:46:50My mum taught me how to cook.
00:46:53She's a bad-ass chef, like, she cooks.
00:46:56And maybe I need some help.
00:46:58My mum is the most honest person.
00:47:00She told me, Abdul, that's whack.
00:47:03Me and Abdul, we're very close with the cooking team, 100%.
00:47:08She supports me in everything I do, every aspect.
00:47:11Thank you, son. Thanks.
00:47:13My faith has definitely helped with my music journey a lot.
00:47:17I'm in a choir called My Lady's From Heaven,
00:47:19and there's like 250 of us.
00:47:21Singing is a passion.
00:47:23It's something I want to do long-term.
00:47:25It's where I see myself.
00:47:27How you feeling? I'm feeling good, you know.
00:47:29Can't wait to get on stage, just give it my all.
00:47:32Music is very, very important to me.
00:47:34I have to listen to music every day.
00:47:36I have to sing.
00:47:40I'm going to give it 1,110,000.
00:47:44I'm going to give it everything within me.
00:47:46That's...

00:50:18And I'm from London.
00:50:20CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:50:22How long you been singing?
00:50:24I've been singing now, it's going to, like, six years.
00:50:27But I just took it very, very serious around September.
00:50:31What?!
00:50:33Yeah.
00:50:34Do you sing in church?
00:50:36Yeah, I'm actually in a choir.
00:50:38I'm with some of my choir friends here.
00:50:40And I'm in a park with Melodies From Heaven.
00:50:42CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:50:44Well, you sounded great to me.
00:50:46I love your voice. Thank you so much.
00:50:48Powerful. A lot of passion.
00:50:50I just love what you do. Wow, thank you so much.
00:50:53CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:50:58That was beautiful.
00:51:00I think one of the most important pieces of life in general
00:51:03is to know who you are as an artist and where you want to go,
00:51:08I think is such a huge attribute
00:51:11that clearly you're already on your way to great things.
00:51:14Thank you. You're already doing it.
00:51:16Thank you so much. Thank you.
00:51:18And you have the best right here.
00:51:21That was amazing.
00:51:23I think, you know, the truth is,
00:51:25a big part of this for us is knowing that there's people
00:51:28that we can offer coaching and guidance to.
00:51:31There's also other coaches who would be better suited for you.
00:51:35And I think you have found yourself on the perfect team.
00:51:38Thank you so much. Thank you.
00:51:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:51:43Abdul, so you said since September.
00:51:46Was somebody trying to tell you,
00:51:48come on, Abdul, you're really awesome?
00:51:50I won't really say someone, but I would say something.
00:51:53I don't know, something was just telling me,
00:51:55OK, this is your time, go for it, go for it.
00:51:58And I'm just so happy that I did go for it
00:52:00and I'm happy that you turned your chair.
00:52:02Like, I'm very, very happy.
00:52:04CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:52:09Yeah, Abdul, you're the right cat.
00:52:12Mm-hm. You have a powerful voice.
00:52:15Thank you so much. Thank you for coming on.
00:52:17Thank you for coming on the show.
00:52:19And thank God for September, bro.
00:52:21Thank God for September.
00:52:23CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:52:25Welcome to Team Top.
00:52:27CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:52:32Yeah, you've got a hell of a voice.
00:52:34Hell of a voice.
00:52:36CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:52:40Yeah. Awesome.
00:52:42SCREAMING
00:52:44SCREAMING
00:52:50Oh, no! Team Top!
00:52:52Team Top!
00:53:00Yeah!
00:53:02Well, that's a natural voice.
00:53:04You're just learning to use it, that's all.
00:53:06But it's always been there. It must have been.
00:53:14MUSIC
00:53:23Have you toured in a while?
00:53:25Tom has a global tour.
00:53:27Really? Yeah.
00:53:29How many shows are you doing?
00:53:3120-something, 20-odd.
00:53:33So I'll get out there and get the voice working a bit.
00:53:36I left the house in 1965 and I haven't been back much since.
00:53:40LAUGHTER
00:53:42CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:53:46It's happening, it's all happening.
00:53:48We've come thousands of miles and this is it, this is the day.
00:53:52Unbelievable. It's like a dream.
00:53:58I'm Bette Reynolds.
00:54:00I'm 76.
00:54:02Originally from Scotland, but now I live in Canada
00:54:06and I'm full-time grandma.
00:54:09I like my crosswords, I like my wordle,
00:54:11and watching my favourite TV show, The Voice,
00:54:15with my coffee and biscuit.
00:54:19When I was younger, I was doing a lot of singing with a band.
00:54:23Then I met my husband Stuart when I was 18.
00:54:27It was love at first sight for me, definitely,
00:54:30and obviously for him too, because he didn't take too long.
00:54:35Then we got married the next year
00:54:37and music went on the back burner
00:54:40because my focus then was to have my family.
00:54:46Look at that, 76 and I'm back to it.
00:54:49Hey, Mum, you're all practised up?
00:54:51Well, I'm practised, yeah.
00:54:53Good. You've got the groove?
00:54:55Yeah. That's too much.
00:54:57I don't need to see that kind of groove from my mother.
00:54:59My son Stuart is probably my biggest supporter.
00:55:03He encourages me to go for things.
00:55:06I'm so proud of you. Dad would be so happy for you to do this.
00:55:12My husband Stuart unfortunately passed away last month.
00:55:17It wasn't really expected, so it was a little bit of a shock.
00:55:22The month before, I said to him,
00:55:25I have a chance to be on The Voice, you know?
00:55:28And they went, sure.
00:55:30There's worse than you out there.
00:55:33And that made me laugh, yeah, yeah.
00:55:36It made me laugh, so I'm happy I told them.
00:55:43You've done so much for Dad, you did so much for the family.
00:55:46It's time for you to step into the spotlight, I think.
00:55:49He'd be walking in going, what?
00:55:52What you got us into?
00:55:56I haven't been on stage since 1966,
00:56:00but at 76, you're still a young thing, if it's in your mind.
00:56:16I want to do myself proud, and I want to make my family proud.
00:56:20It's a big privilege to be here.
00:56:38I said the hip, hop, the hippity-to, the hippity, the hip, hip, hop,
00:56:42and the don't stop, rock to the bang, bang, don't say up,
00:56:45jump the boogie to the rhythm of the boogie, the beats.
00:56:48Now, what you hear is not a test.
00:56:50I'm rapping to the beats.
00:56:52And me, the groove, and my friends...
00:56:55Don't go, don't go.
00:56:57It's O-A-P, and they like to say hello!
00:57:00To the black, to the white, to the red,
00:57:02to the brown, to the purple, and yellow.
00:57:04First we've got a bang, bang, the boogie to the boogie,
00:57:07say up, jump, boogie to the bang, bang, boogie, let's rock.
00:57:10You don't stop, rock the rhythm, make your body rock.
00:57:14Hotel, motel, what you gonna do today?
00:57:17Everybody go, hotel, motel, holiday inn.
00:57:22Now, I'm feeling the highs and I'm feeling the lows,
00:57:25the beat starts getting into your toes,
00:57:27start popping your fingers and stomping your feet,
00:57:29moving your body when you're sitting,
00:57:31you're sitting in, yeah!
00:57:33I want to see!
00:57:35Right now, when you sit and you move your hands,
00:57:37I in the air, rock to the rhythm,
00:57:39so you can't get away.
00:57:41Sing one, two, three, four.
00:57:43Come on, girls, get on the floor.
00:57:45Come on, y'all, give me what you got.
00:57:47I want to see!
00:57:49It's going to be about, we rock, Scooby Doo.
00:57:52It's about you, Kate, we love you,
00:57:54because you rock and you're always so much so.
00:57:56We rock to you, 101 years old!
00:58:00Bring it!
00:58:14Oh, you're the best!
00:58:16Yeah!
00:58:18That was awesome.
00:58:20That was great.
00:58:22I told you!
00:58:32Hello!
00:58:34What's your name?
00:58:36My name is Bette Reynolds.
00:58:38Hi, Bette.
00:58:40And I'm 76.
00:58:43I was born in Scotland,
00:58:46but now live in Canada
00:58:48for the past 50-odd years.
00:58:52Amazing.
00:58:54How long have you been singing?
00:58:56Oh, I was singing since I was five.
00:58:58But I'm actually classically trained.
00:59:00Incredible.
00:59:02This is just a sideline.
00:59:08When the lads turned around, I'm like,
00:59:10I'm going to go and give you a big old hug.
00:59:12Because you have that
00:59:14let's hang out family next door neighbour vibe.
00:59:16Thank you so much, Will.
00:59:20And I mean, the crowd, they were so into it,
00:59:22which I loved once. That was awesome.
00:59:24Thanks, Leanne.
00:59:26I thought it was a young person.
00:59:30I thought it was a little girl singing or something.
00:59:32I mean, my God.
00:59:36It sounded like you were having fun.
00:59:38I mean, it was great. I loved it.
00:59:40Thanks, Tom. Thank you so much.
00:59:44We had to turn to see what was creating
00:59:46this amazing atmosphere
00:59:48in this room.
00:59:50Every single person that I was looking at out there
00:59:52had the biggest smile on their face.
00:59:56You can't learn that. That is something that you naturally have.
00:59:58Thank you so much.
01:00:00So I feel like you are
01:00:02a vital, important member on Team Tom and Dan.
01:00:08What made you pick that song?
01:00:10Well, my grandchildren
01:00:12like to listen
01:00:14to rap.
01:00:16And I thought, maybe I should
01:00:18try this.
01:00:20So they come up with Rapper's Delight
01:00:22to see just how I would do.
01:00:24That's amazing.
01:00:28Beck, have you gone viral
01:00:30on the internet?
01:00:32Maybe a couple of times.
01:00:34What was it for?
01:00:36I used to do Drake.
01:00:38And then one of the designers, yeah.
01:00:40Wow.
01:00:42It was there to see you, Jim.
01:00:44Oh, yes.
01:00:46Yeah, I was doing one of yours
01:00:48backstage.
01:00:50Really?
01:00:52No, I couldn't, honestly.
01:00:54You want to do it together?
01:00:56Yeah.
01:00:58Let's do it together.
01:01:00Beck! Beck! Beck!
01:01:02Beck! Beck! Beck!
01:01:04Okay, Beck.
01:01:06So you sing the chorus?
01:01:08Oh, that's for later.
01:01:12Alright.
01:01:14You ready?
01:01:16I got a
01:01:18feeling
01:01:20that tonight's
01:01:22gonna be a good
01:01:24night. That tonight's
01:01:26gonna be a good
01:01:28night. That tonight's
01:01:30gonna be a good
01:01:32night.
01:01:34Tonight's the night.
01:01:36Let's live it up.
01:01:38Make some noise for Beck.
01:01:40I got a feeling
01:01:44that tonight's gonna
01:01:46be a good night.
01:01:48That tonight's gonna be
01:01:50a good night.
01:01:52That tonight's gonna be
01:01:54a good night.
01:01:58How are you today?
01:02:10We couldn't be happier
01:02:12for you to be joining team
01:02:14Tom and Danny. I hope you're happy.
01:02:16I'm very happy. We've been through a rough
01:02:18time this year and I've been caregiver
01:02:20to my husband for a long time
01:02:22and unfortunately he just
01:02:24passed away. Oh, I'm sorry.
01:02:26But he was a fun guy
01:02:28and I said, no,
01:02:30we go through with it.
01:02:32We keep on going.
01:02:36Thank you Tom.
01:02:48Welcome to the show.
01:02:50You're gonna be with
01:02:52these two young chaps here. That's awesome
01:02:54because I feel young.
01:03:18Fantastic.
01:03:24Well, thank God you turned for her.
01:03:26I love it. Unbelievable.
01:03:28It was just remarkable.
01:03:30It's a blessing.
01:03:32I feel like you guys are
01:03:34like really turning for the fun of things
01:03:36which I love. Yeah.
01:03:38It was a massive part of why we had impact
01:03:40when we first launched. It was that we were also
01:03:42fun and we made people smart.
01:03:44We took our music seriously but we didn't take
01:03:46ourselves seriously. I love that.
01:03:48Gonna have some fun with that.
01:03:50Oh man. Supernan.
01:03:52Supernan.
01:03:58Right, who fancies another
01:04:00chance of winning our biggest ever cash prize
01:04:02of £100,000? Me.
01:04:04You five are not
01:04:06included but anybody else is.
01:04:08Wow.
01:04:10They also get to win the trip of a lifetime
01:04:12to Universal Orlando
01:04:14Resort.
01:04:23I feel for everybody that comes
01:04:25on this stage. It's hard.
01:04:35I think everything that you've done
01:04:37today has kind of culminated into
01:04:39this moment. This is right where
01:04:41the roads meet for you.
01:04:43Yeah.
01:04:53Up there is
01:04:55one of the hardest environments to sing in.
01:04:57Your body goes into fight or flight.
01:04:59Yeah. It's wild.
01:05:01What an opportunity
01:05:03and you grab opportunities.
01:05:05I have every faith, I have every confidence and I've
01:05:07seen it before. I'm sure I'll see it again.
01:05:09Best of luck.
01:05:11Cheers.
01:05:20I'm Conor McLachlan.
01:05:22I'm 27. I work as a manager in a canteen
01:05:24in a music college.
01:05:26My job is Monday to Friday.
01:05:28I serve students
01:05:30coffee, sandwiches. It's only me
01:05:32so I can get stressful
01:05:34but I like the buzz. It gives you that adrenaline
01:05:36and being Irish
01:05:38you can chat to anybody. It's all good.
01:05:41I'm a bit of a mummy's boy
01:05:43but she's also my best friend.
01:05:45Conor's just a great kid. A little bit of a cheeky
01:05:47chappy. The singing really
01:05:49epitomises what he's all about.
01:05:51When you get out on that stage, right, keep your eyes open
01:05:53and you'll be amazing.
01:05:55And a happy stare.
01:05:57For a long time
01:05:59I was a little bit embarrassed about singing.
01:06:01It was just that feeling of fear
01:06:03all the time, you know. I didn't know if it was good enough.
01:06:05My family has helped
01:06:07me build my confidence.
01:06:09He sees the day, as they say.
01:06:11So, well done. In advance.
01:06:15At the moment, I take every
01:06:17opportunity to open mic any events
01:06:19that are on. With The Voice, it's
01:06:21a big step up.
01:06:23I'm nervous
01:06:25but I'd really like somebody
01:06:27to hear what I'm
01:06:29feeling inside, I suppose.
01:06:39But that's where we are,
01:06:41that's where we are.
01:07:01Oh, I miss
01:07:03the eye of the
01:07:05mountain, the land.
01:07:09Keep
01:07:11careful watch
01:07:13over my brother's
01:07:15soul.
01:07:17Oh, I love The Voice.
01:07:19And should the sky
01:07:21be filled with
01:07:23fire and
01:07:25smoke. Gorgeous.
01:07:27Keep watching
01:07:29over
01:07:31doing so.
01:07:33And
01:07:35if
01:07:37we should die
01:07:39tonight,
01:07:41then we should all die
01:07:43together. Raise a
01:07:45glass of wine
01:07:47for
01:07:49the last time.
01:07:51Calling out father
01:07:53of home
01:07:55fast and we will
01:07:57watch the flames burn
01:07:59open on
01:08:01the mountain side.
01:08:03Desolation
01:08:05comes upon
01:08:07the sky.
01:08:09Now I see fire
01:08:13inside the
01:08:15mountains. I see
01:08:17fire
01:08:19blood in the
01:08:21trees. And I see
01:08:23fire
01:08:25all over
01:08:27souls. And I see
01:08:29fire
01:08:31blood in
01:08:33the trees. And I
01:08:35see fire burn
01:08:37open on the
01:08:39mountain side.
01:08:45There's always
01:08:47been something
01:08:49about us.
01:08:51We got
01:08:53love, we got
01:08:55scars like
01:08:57blood.
01:09:03What's your name?
01:09:05My name is Connor McLaughlin
01:09:07and I'm from Dublin. From Dublin?
01:09:09I'm from Dublin.
01:09:11What song
01:09:13is that? It's an Ed Sheeran song.
01:09:15I see fire. It's from the movie Hobbit.
01:09:17It suits your voice and it's
01:09:19different. You know, I mean, you got something different
01:09:21there that I haven't heard anybody
01:09:23else on the show do. You stand
01:09:25out, you just boom.
01:09:27And the arrangement was good too. So I loved
01:09:29it. Thanks Tom.
01:09:33When did you start singing? I'd say
01:09:35maybe five, six years of age
01:09:37when I started singing to my family.
01:09:39I used to face a wall.
01:09:41So they used to be behind me and I used to sing
01:09:43and because I was just so nervous, I didn't
01:09:45really believe in myself. So singing to the
01:09:47back of chairs is normal? Not the same.
01:09:49Yeah, back of chairs
01:09:51and then everybody else in the studio
01:09:53and the band and everything.
01:09:59I felt so warm and fuzzy listening
01:10:01to your voice. Like it was just so
01:10:03smooth and cool
01:10:05and you really do have so many unique
01:10:07pieces to you and you're truly
01:10:09a handsome, handsome man.
01:10:11Thank you very much.
01:10:15Like you have
01:10:17the whole thing going on and
01:10:19yeah, that was a beautiful
01:10:21beautiful moment. Thank you.
01:10:27So, we're all gonna pitch now.
01:10:29Okay. Yeah, I mean where do we start?
01:10:31I think there are singers
01:10:33and there are singers that make their
01:10:35voice an instrument and what
01:10:37you have there is textures
01:10:39that is a pure
01:10:41instrument and that is
01:10:43I think one of the highest quality
01:10:45voices I've heard on The Voice.
01:10:47Thank you so much.
01:10:52We're a double chair
01:10:54and you're from Dublin.
01:10:56So, anything
01:10:58we can do, it'll be
01:11:00double the scale.
01:11:02That was good, that was good.
01:11:07As I told you, I mean I
01:11:09just love the sound of your voice.
01:11:11The song was perfect for you because
01:11:13I felt you coming through it.
01:11:15You know, if you came with me, I would do
01:11:17everything I could to make sure that you get the
01:11:19high songs, but the songs that you want to do
01:11:21and I would just back you up.
01:11:23You know, I would want to let you fly.
01:11:25So, that's what you'd get from me.
01:11:27I love that, Tom. I love that.
01:11:33This is what I have to say. I've been waiting for a voice
01:11:35like yours. I have a type.
01:11:37You're it.
01:11:39It's true.
01:11:41I have a type with voices
01:11:43and that's it. You have it.
01:11:45You have the thing that I love.
01:11:49But I've been waiting for someone like you.
01:11:51I would absolutely love to work with you.
01:11:53I think you have a very long, beautiful
01:11:55journey ahead of you.
01:11:57Thank you so much.
01:12:01The reason why I want you
01:12:03on my team is your voice
01:12:05is spectacular.
01:12:07But can I be completely honest?
01:12:09I think
01:12:11you would be best
01:12:13in Leigh and Rhyme's team.
01:12:15Wow, thank you.
01:12:17Hey, Will.
01:12:19That was very kind.
01:12:21Because if you listen to her music
01:12:23and your voice,
01:12:25that sandwich
01:12:27is a magical combination.
01:12:29If I was coaching you, I would be like,
01:12:31yo, you need to rock with Leigh and Rhyme's.
01:12:33That's a magical combination.
01:12:39I had this idea coming onto the show
01:12:41like I wasn't destined
01:12:43for somebody in particular.
01:12:45But listening to Will there,
01:12:47listening to you guys, listening to Tom,
01:12:49and Leigh-Anne as well,
01:12:59I think I'm gonna go with you.
01:13:01Yes, that's so happy.
01:13:03Yes.
01:13:13So nice to meet you.
01:13:27Congratulations.
01:13:35I finally have that voice.
01:13:37Yeah, yeah.
01:13:39I felt it all on stage there.
01:13:41You could feel it watching that you could feel it.
01:13:43There was feels everywhere,
01:13:45especially from Leigh-Anne Rhyme's.
01:13:47I'm so excited.
01:13:49He's amazing. Are you happy?
01:13:51I'm so happy.
01:13:53He was adorable.
01:13:55Woo!
